The Christmas Event hit our devices yesterday afternoon and a fun event rolled out with it. Like all events, a questline was rolled out with it to help guide you through the event. If you ever get stuck with something in the event, just check out the questline and see what needs to be triggered next…usually you can get “unstuck” by following along with the questline.

Im actually annoyed with this chrostmas setup. A lot of the items i have been dealing with for the quests are buggy.
The snowman wouldnt upgrade and it was still in act 1. So its sitting there and i cant do diddly squat. Cant sell it or put it in my inventory.
It took awhile but the not so nice Christmas tree thing sorted itself out.
Hubby got a quest from Burns & Smithers for the ski lodge and I have nothing. Not sure whats happened.
The snowman wasn’t “buggy” – it was a building task for Act 1 only. If you didn’t complete it in Act 1, you were out of luck, by design (unless you wanted to spend donuts to complete it). As for storing it, typically, event items aren’t storable until after the even is over. So, you should be able to store it once you’ve updated out of the event.
thanks for the reply sandrashill – I was only assuming that the snowman was buggy. It was all done under act 1 (I had it all done before my husband had on his game) but there was no actions for “level 5” yet he had the last bit on his. I can’t wait to move it into inventory tbh. I thought there would have been more to the story line (not sure why).
where did the merrymakers go? Went online this morning and they are gone and you can’t finish any quest either?? also was almost to levil 60 but it reset to beginning of 59??
I’ve completed the ‘Best Snowman Ever’. I’m on the ‘Exotic Pet Zoo and ‘Reindeer Burger Truck’ still no “Gingerbread Mansion’? Did I miss something? I thought the quest should have started after ‘Best Snowman Ever’?

I have a problem with my barty its cold outside part 1. I have already send a youngster for 4 times and it’s still not credited
Could be because act 1 is over. I’d contact EA see if they can clear it
And yet another glitch…I had already bought “xmas trees slightly irregular” prior to the new weekly challenges, yet I did not get credit for having it to satisfy the challenge, and I cannot buy another one. So there’s no way for me to complete the weekly challenges. Was already perturbed the Cletus farm decorations glitches and didn’t show up, then no warning that the Act one prizes were no longer obtainable and disappeared ….becoming a little dismayed with the game

Best snowman ever stuck on level 4 won’t let upgrade to 5 with spending 98 donuts

Nope, that’s supposed to happen. Act 1 is over, you can no longer upgrade the snowman for free. If you want to finish it off you’ll have to spend donuts
So at one ended and I want done with my snowman. Now I have an ugly incomplete thing in my town. It won’t let me put it in storage or sell it, how do I get rid of it. I am pissed. My people just finished the final task to up grade it to 4/5. Please how do I get rid of the ugly thing. I am so mad at this game.
You can’t until the Christmas Event is over. Once it’s over you’ll be able to store it.
I am wondering if we will be able to continue upgrading the GingerNed House beyond the Act 1 timer? Or does it lock up at the point of last level completed when Act 2 starts?

Probably, but not really practical. There will be several other things to upgrade in Act 2…you’ll probably need the characters for that as well…
I just finished the snowman but the gingerned house isn’t starting? I went straight to the petting zoo story line. Does that mean I’m going to miss the gingerbread house?

i’m building best snowman ever, but now i’m stuck, i don’t have Kooks or do i have enough donuts to get him. did anyone had similar problem?
How do I get the Canadian flag attached to Virgils cabin to “fly”? In the prize list, the ouc shows the flag out and “flying “. Now I have the prize and the flag just hangs there drooping. Can’t even tell its a Canadian flag.
It needs a task there to fly..that’s the animation for it. Unfortunately right now there are no tasks there..
I’m annoyed with that too. We hardly have any Canadian references in the game and the flag is kinda a letdown 🙁 At least I still have the tapball Canadian flag at the stadium 🙂

My farm did not get the new decorations after Cletus completed the tasks. Received the other decorations for houses/church…just not the farm. Anyone else have issues?
Yeah, I’m going to finish Act 1 in a few hours by just tapping Merrymakers and collecting from the three upgraded buildings, allowing me to focus on Railyard bonuts today and tomorrow. So far loving the event. Nice event flow, not too easy – not too hard, not too tapping-intensive. Nice prizes and premium upgrades of prior Christmas event stuff, too.

you mentioned above the name of the quests are “Can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread man”. however it is actually gingerNED man. ya, I didn’t catch that one until just recently. ive been reading it as gingerbread also and I’m on part 3. LOL !!

I was in a store today where they had a kit for making Gingerdead Men. One was holding his head in the crook of his arm…I can’t remember what the other one in the picture looked like, but I guess it all fits in with the current popularity of zombies and such, lol!

Let me make a note on my new Motorola Razr to update my MySpace page and get rid of the vampire theme.
Also, any crafting tips? Your wailing wall tip helped me at Halloween immensely (now at 104.1 % with a stack of walls generating $20,000 every 12 hours). Are any of the crafting items generating percentages for money and XP?
Nothing awards a bonus %. But a post on crafting is coming…patience. Event hasn’t even been out a week yet, and we don’t post major stuff on the weekends (we (I) deserve a break too 😉 )
