It’s Christmas in Springfield! Time to hang the stockings and stock up on donuts because there are new Christmas themed premium items in our stores! Now I know you may be trying to decide if these are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add White Witch Burns to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this stone cold witch to your town!

Honestly, I had a hard time finding cons for this one. Really, it’s a decent buy. He comes with a fun little questline (which I would wait to do until the Event is over) and earns Event currency. Really the only downside is it’s a skin for Mr. Burns..and he has a million of them. But this is one I would seriously consider getting if you’re premium or freemium…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell I’ll probably be picking this one up. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting him make sure you make your final decision before he leaves our games on December 19th

I love how he’s able to earn the most for Xmas events. It’s a major break in terms of trying to earn event currency.
I bought White Witch Burns because I love his tasks….however he doesn’t pay out at premium currency…mistake or contact EA? 😵 I just noticed the other day as I have quite a few skins for him and had changed it up.

Hi again! The event is over and White Witch Burns still does not give premium currency. I also noticed a few others don’t produce premium either…Santa Homer is one I can think of but need to check others…I have a huge bonus percentage so it’s not that big of a deal but I did pay real money so I guess it is lol!! Looks like a fun costume, but Burns is always in his UBO skin spreading love in my game. Once I finish the Money Mountain he’s going to be in his real gorilla chest vest skin most of the time, unless I want him to signal plays for 8 hours. They should try to spread the costumes around more. Burns, Krusty, Homer, CBG and Bart tend to get skins added all the time. With so many options for the same character it’s hard to use them all.
The one con you posted is enough for me… my two cents is, if it’s just for earning extra cash, no premium skin for Burns is worth the donuts. You’re better off completing the money mountain and getting his Monty Moneybags skin, which will earn more than any premium character, INCLUDING Sherri and Terri.
Another good con is that most players at this point have Burns constantly busy with monorail tasks. Even the Moneybags skin ends up getting used only from Friday to Monday…
I’m sorry but if you want money why would you complete money mountain?

White Witch Burns –
Why won’t EA allow Long Time Tappers to use Ebeneezer Burns (Skin) to earn event currency? I’m not wasting Donuts on another Character Skin (kinda a let down EA) ….
My original dilemma was between King Winter’s Cave and the Ski Lift. Both would look awesome in my winter area. Now that Sophie is available (and it appears she’s an all new character) I now have a 3rd choice to blow some of my donuts.
Any suggestions on Winter or Ski Lift?
Is it possible our favorite addicts will have a SIB on Sophie before the other 2 items will be leaving our stores?
You probably won’t see a SIB on Sophie until after Act 2 hits, there’s still a ton of stuff to go out on act 1 before Saturday. And sophie is in the stores for a while…
The other two…it’s really a toss up. I don’t really have a preference of one of the other, other than King Winter is an independent character vs a premium skin for flanders. Beyond that, you’re own choice…

Personally I’d go for King Winter over the ski lift. Flanders’ skin is cool but the only times you see it is when he rides the lift for 24 hours and the other one requires Homer. I just got Krusty’s daughter so don’t know enough on that one yet.
Also King Winters’ 12 hour job is one of my favorite animations. He looks so maniacal
I’m leaning that way too. I like the ski lift overall for decoration but a new character is the deciding factor. I don’t need a premium skin for Flanders….already have Devil Flanders which is way better. Couple more weeks of bonuts with a scratcher or two and hopefully Sophie will be another welcome addition. I don’t know value wise, but I have both ski lift and King Winter and I LOVE the ski lift. Of course, King Winter is a character so probably earns more.
Seems like the event currency he earns is really pretty small and as you pointed out, Burns already has a ton of skins. Once you get Monty Moneybags, everything else is pretty useless.
I’m not going to get the skin, but here’s an interesting thought…
At 1hr, there’s a 1:1 ratio (earns 1 hat/hr). At 4hrs and 8hrs, there’s a premium (or bonus) over the 1hr task ratio. (with the 4hr task being the best bang for the buck).
At 12hrs, it reverts back to the 1:1 ratio we saw in the first (1hr) job, and at 24hrs, you’re actually /losing/ event currency.
I love his cast sleeping spells task but keep forgetting to use it since he’s constantly recycling metal.
Am I the only one who wishes White Witch Burns and Ice Princess Martin had a joint outdoor task? I would have scooped this up in a heartbeat, then. But I’m still not so sure. I mean, I’ve got Dracula, Ebeneezer, and Fruit Batman already… He’s almost as diverse as Homer, the Man of a Thousand Skins.
This is a bit off-topic, I’m sorry, but I didn’t know where to ask.
A friend of mine told me he suddenly had a drone in springfield. I looked it up and it was the IRS drone, which costs 50 donuts, which means he spent 50 donuts without realizing. I searched over here and saw a post about troubleshooting and contacting e game support. I told him to contact EA and tell them about it, but when he had to choose a contact option, he could only choose “calle me now” or “live chat”. He’s busy now and can’t do it, he’d prefer the email option, although it didn’t appear.
‘d like to ask 2 things: first, if there’s a way for him to contact them via email, even though that option didn’t seem possible. And second, I read something about waiting some time, not being able to play, while the issue is being fixed. Will he really have to wait and not play for a while? And if so, for how long?

If the option doesn’t appear, no you can’t.
And not really, he should be able to continue playing. But something like this, an accidental purchase…EA’s not usually going to refund him. Depends on who the rep is that he gets. Since there’s a confirm Donut Spend button in the game (under settings), they’re not usually good about refunding for accidental purchases.
Sometimes I spend 2 or 4 donuts by mistake, where there’s no confirmation, and so does he, and I just forget it, but he told me he didn’t see the confirmation this time. I also told him to check whether he had activated that button you mention, and he had it properly set, but yet he spent the donuts and later realized when he saw the drone over his springfield. Let’s see what EA tells him…
What do you mean ‘where there’s no confirmation’? There’s a confirmation for each and every doughnut spent. I’ve never accidentally spent a single doughnut, as I have the confirmation on
I always have the confirmation on, but for instance, on springfield downs, I usually place a bet and leave it there running while I keep collecting money and XP from other buildings. Suddenly, there comes up a window telling me whether I win or I lose, and if I’m doing things a bit fast, I accidentally tap on the “bet again” button, which costs 4 donuts. And there’s no confirmation whatsoever. That’s happened to me 3-4 times already, so I try to be careful.
Naaaa, not a fan of Mr. Burns, he’s a baddie, he’s also a bad employer

So, just some quick math… 16-17 days left on event… Average about 20 hats a day from this…. So 60 donuts for 320-340 hats? I’ll pass.
I grabbed him this morning as soon as I read this. I liked the look of him and since you recommended him I knew he would be worth the donuts.
Only negative is that his quest doesn’t pay hats upon completion. Other than that great buy.

Is there any indication in the files as to whether he’ll earn different event currency in the next stages of the event? I’ve almost got all the hats without him, but if he’ll earn Act II’s unique currency, it might be worth it.

I actually like this skin (and I’m not sure whether any of my other Burns’ skins are premium), but I think I’d prefer to hang on the few donuts I have left (after the big Black Friday splurge) to use on a new character/building combo or a special sale or something… I also never buy something just to help with a current event (since that’s too transitory), but I might buy something that helps with an event if it was on my list to get at some point anyway.
But I do think this skin looks pretty cool! 🙂
You eventually get a super premium skin for Mr Burns for 0 donuts spent, when you upgrade the money mountain.
Yes, but I have no intention of ever building money mountain. It’s big and ugly and, if you store it, you lose the skin while it’s stored. Plus, with the XP multiplier, I’m way better off turning those $$ to XP! Bobo will be in my task bar for the rest of my game. (Luckily, he’s cute!)
Considering Burns is needed for the monorail and SH, in addition to my having at least three skins that pay premium (or better) for him already… No. This is basically worthless to me. I got the orphans last night, so I’m not struggling for event currency, and a new quest for Burns would just take him away from his work at the railyard. I’ll save my precious sprinklies, thanks.
It’s nice that they have associated Santa Hat earning tasks with this skin, but still 60 donuts for a premium skin I can’t justify. Then again, I’m so frugal with donuts I wouldn’t spend 10 donuts on a skin. I’d rather spend the 60 donuts on Moleman, but am too frugal to do that too. Come on EA, put Moleman on sale!!!

Glancing down that task list, it seems peculiar to me that the highest daily currency payout would actually come from favoring the 4 hour “Cast a Sleeping Spell” task, instead of the 1 hour “Terrorize Springfield” task. Wonder why that is?
Freemium : Definitely no. Save your doughnuts for a character and/or character + building. Buying a skin for an existing character is pointless and provides only fleeting amusement, while an extra character/building will last much longer!
Bought him instantly. I’m a huge Narnia fan, so didn’t need the “Should I Buy”, which is rare, because although I have my own opinions, I usually like to see what my fellow Addicts think. Still wavering on the animal shelter. Giant animal fan as well, but not sure I want to part with the sprinklies instead of some other potential upcoming items (of which I have zero knowledge….urgh! Always the “maybe something better will come along”)
I have lots of skins for Burns, but still purchased! Love this one + helps with event currency!
I’m sorry if I posted twice, I can’t tell if my first post went through because my computer froze after I hit ‘post comment’ so I’m posting again 🙂 I love White Witch Burns in my game, everything he does cracks me up, so I’d recommend him if you’re thinking about him and on the fence. Just the way he walks around the town is amusing, even if he’s not on a task. Overall, I’m very happy with this whole Christmas event and can’t wait for the next act to begin! I got Patches and Poor Violet last night, and I’m enjoying their questline and finished the Gingerbread House yesterday or the day before, and I am just happy with the prizes and everything available. Sadly, between the U.B.O., Monty Moneybags, and chasing after King-Size Homer, I’ve got too much for Burns to do as it is!
I got this and I honestly love it. His outdoor tasks will not disappoint, I giggle everytime I see him in my town and the way he walks around town when wearing it is funny too.
