Christmas 2015 Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 3 Dancing Reindeer

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well here we are, in the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas in Springfield! The leaves on the trees have fallen, snow blankets the ground and there’s joy all around town!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Santa Hats (festivehats) to unlock each prize!

The thirdAct 1 prize awarded at 11,300 festivehats is the Dancing Reindeer!  For all your Rein Dancing needs!

So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 11,300 festivehats  you’ll automatically be awarded the Dancing Reindeer and you’ll see this message popup:

You’ll have the ability to place the Reindeer in your Springfield immediately or place it in inventory for later (store).  If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..

If you decide to place it you’ll see the character unlock message…

And the Reindeer is part of the Winter 2015 Character Collection..

The Dancing Reindeer is animated when tapped…it’ll do a little jig.  (duh, it is a dancing reindeer afterall..)

And that’s really it to this NPC Reindeer…no additional questline once placed and nothing to earn you more festivehats.  Just unlock the prize and that’s basically it…

Remember this is an NPC (Non-Playable Character) so it will not have tasks associated with it…

What’s Next?
canadiancabin_menu Virgil’s Cabin  the fourth prize, which will be awarded at 19,900 festivehats.  This will be the next prize we cover in a prize rundown post.

So that my friends is the full breakdown of the third Christmas Act 1 prize!

What do you think of the Dancing Reindeer?  Thoughts on the event overall?  What are you most looking forward to?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I don’t know why but now I only have 1 star of 5 in Conformeter “Justice”. I don’t know what to do in order of get all the stars (I’m 59 level).
    Thaks you

  2. Ok so this hasn’t happened to me before, I got busy during Act 1 and now I’m not sure if I am going to be able to get enough hats in time to get Patches & Violet. Is there anyway to buy them after Act 1 ends?

    • You can usually buy it for donuts after the act is over, but it may be cheaper to rush it with donuts before the act ends. Take a look as close as you can to the end of the act and see how many donuts it would take to rush it and decide whether it’s worth it to you. (If you’re really, really far behind, then it could be cheaper to buy it after the act, but, if you’ve already gotten the prize right before it, I’m guessing that rushing would be cheaper.)

  3. Just finished the ginger bread house and unlocked Patches and Poor Violet! Woohoo just in time 🙂 And the final animation on the gb house is pretty good.

I crafted the darn ski chalet 1 day before the “craft an item” task came up. Should’ve known better. But we’re getting new craftables tomorrow so I’m sure there’s gonna be something to craft from those items.

Really nice building though. We’re starting to get a lot of items for a ski resort/mountain lodge type area. The design wheels are turning…

Really love this event. it’s going along at the perfect pace and involving a lot of characters. Can’t wait to get that bear that’s on the loading screen! I don’t care if it’s premium, I’ll buy any animal they decide to throw at me haha 🙂

  4. I am having a hard time locating a present in my Springfield. What do I need to check off in the build menu to better see them. I assume buildings… Any other suggestions are appreciated.

  5. Hi Sandra, probably nothing you did, word press had me locked out for a week. Don’t know what’s going on with them lately, but took me many frustrating hours to finally get back here.
I love the reindeer makes me smile when I tap on him & he dances. I will also probably store him after holidays as well.

    • “Dance, Reindeer, dance! Bwaahaahaaa!”

Yes, I tap on him at least once a day because it makes me smile (even though it’s really kinda hokey).

  6. So, here’s a slightly off-topic question… I wonder what happens if one triggers too drip a present into an area of someone’s town where there are no open spaces (like one of those ugly type of house farms)?

    • It becomes a glitch where the gift is stored because there is no where else for it to go, but it still counts as being nice or naughty depending what you picked. And you still get the bows for your pick. I always pick naughty, and I have like 38k bows atm. Already had a few other tappers saying this works.

Is what I’d say if this exact scenario was unfolding in my town. But… It isn’t.

  7. Oh, darn! Now I can see my comment about not seeing my comment in moderation in moderation, but my original comment still isn’t there (the one that actually had to do with the subject if the post, and which I really don’t feel like rewriting *sigh*).

  8. Well….this is different….submitted my previous comment (had to log back into WordPress to do it) and, not only can I still not see any comments, I can’t even see my own “in moderation”! Wonder if I used the wrong password or something…(but I don’t think so, since it’s showing the right gravitar for me…)

  9. I actually kinda like this NPC (as NPCs go), but just for the holidays…he and his little dancing hooves will be sent to my inventory once the holidays are over (but, if I’m still playing next Christmas, I’ll bring him back out, like I did with Bonestorm Santa and Annual Gift Man this year).

Btw, things seem to be loading a little better in my iPad this morning, but no comments…I expect I’ll see them once I submit this one. (Ah…just noticed that my email address and stuff want pre-filled in, so that’s probably why….with the cleared cache, it’s forgotten who I am.)

  10. When I unlocked this one and tapped it, it completed a task that wasn’t in my list. Got $100 and XP. I think there was a quick piece of dialogue; honestly can’t remember.
