Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well here we are, in the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas in Springfield! The leaves on the trees have fallen, snow blankets the ground and there’s joy all around town!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Santa Hats (
) to unlock each prize!
The fourth Act 1 prize awarded at 19,900 is Virgil’s Cabin! For all your Canadian vacation needs…
So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 19,900 you’ll automatically be awarded Virgil’s Cabin and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place the Cabin in your Springfield immediately or place it in inventory for later (store). If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..
And that’s really it to the Cabin…no additional questline once placed and nothing to earn you more . Just unlock the prize and that’s basically it…

Is there any point or reward for going past lv15 of the Hot Sqeeshee station? (Spell check😰)
I recall no point at all on the THOH campfire, wasted effort upgrading that to level 68.
I’d rather have kids earning money than pointless drinks, so can someone please enlighten me if there is any point in reaching lv 20 or higher. Thanks.

the first act was quite hard. it ends today and i will get patches and violet just in time, even though i put a lot of time into the game.

Probably in the wrong place but I’ve found 2 things that don’t seem right:
#1 the premium “santa card” that gives double event currency from Neighbors also appears to halve the number of neighbors you get currency from!
#2 Timer to get new “gifts” to drop at neighbour’s appears to reset after last gift is dropped, so if you were holding out to put it on a specific “friend” you vould miss a whole day’s gifts!
PS gifts also don’t srrm to accumulate, looks like use or loose the next day’s also!
Anyone else seen this or am I ennunciating from my bum?

Disappointed that there isn’t at least one task here, but it looks good with my Kamp Krusty.
I still feel that S.H. Is on the Northside not the East side as Cookie wants us to believe. And to me Canada is North so I want to put it up there but makes no sense in S.Heights so I have it somewhere in the upper left side under the first set of mountains (not S.H.)
But I like your idea Sandra maybe I’ll move it to my camp stuff (but that is on the bottom left) … :/ (maybe I’ll just leave it where I placed it)
Cookie’s territory is stated to be the west side, actually, which makes the ocean south, so north is opposite from the ocean. If that helps.
Also, a pine tree covers the flag pretty well, if you want to pretend it’s not in Canada. Mine became part of Kamp Krusty very easily with this trick. (Although, coincidentally, that happens to be on the north end of my town.)
Having problems with this event. Crazy hours at work, shopping, family obligations. Merry Christmas everyone.
Those house lights were earned during previous Christmas events. I’m surprised they didn’t bring them back in some way for newbies…maybe they will in Act 2?
I’ve added it to my lake-side campground….would have been nice in the woods, like my other cabin, but that would’ve required a LOT of redesign and moving stuff around.
Still no P&V…but then, I kinda never thought I’d get them until tomorrow. (Just hope I do!)
I got Virgils cabin 1 1/2 days ago. The first act ends tomorrow night at midnight for me. Im currently at 25,800 hats. I really hope I can get enough in time before the act ends tomorrow night!
If you finish up the gingerbread house, you should be good. Gives you like 2,500.

I have done all the quests and upgraded the snowman and the gingerbread house but I still need 3000 hats to get the last prize -how is that possible?
Because you need to visit neighbors and tap merrymakers in your town. The GB and Snowman questlines won’t get you enough Santa hats alone. Especially if you only sent the minimum number of characters on each hat task.
I am about 100 shy of finishing and have no friends to visit so it is possible. Keep tapping. Don’t let town fill up or it will slow the spawn rate down until it’s cleared.
Do you visit neighbors? Are you remembering to collect from the woolly bully and the snowman every four(?) hours? Are you keeping up with clearing your Merrymakers (30 an hour I think, at 3 hats apiece)? How about upgrading the Hot Squishee stand…have you been doing that? I think those are most of the things (outside of the building quests and other quests, which you’ve already said you’ve finished) that I can think of…
I like it but it’s tiny! Also would like it animated so the flag waves.

I still need about 8000 hats to get the orphans, any chance to get that by tomorrow?
I still need 6000 I kind of don’t see it happening. One thing I’m confused of is when I visit neighbors towns I don’t get hats only money and zo and people keep mentioning that you do get hats. Ideas?
You only get hats every 24hrs, once you max out actions you will no longer get hats for that day
