It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. No new episode of the Simpsons tonight, but Christmas Act 2 hit our games yesterday. What are your thoughts on Act 2? Thoughts on the prizes?
How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? Get any Christmas/holiday shopping done? (only 5 days until Christmas..)
Sunday Night Football tonight features the Cardinals at the Eagles. Something you’ll be checking out? Did your team play earlier today? How’d they do?

Completely non-spoiler Star Wars question….should I see it in Imax 3-D? I’m hoping to go maybe on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, and I may have a choice among plain, 3-D, or Imax 3-D viewing options.
Depends on how you like movies… a ot of people don’t like 3D. I saw it regular and it was amazing. Going to have to see it again and might try 3D. A buddy of mine said it was very cool that way. IMAX is always the way to go for bombastic cinematic amazingness. If I had to choose though… I’d probably want plain IMAX lol.
Pretty sure that combo isn’t an option, lol!
I think we’ll probably do the whole Imax 3-D thing, because I think that’s what my husband would prefer and I don’t have strong feelings about it.
Do they not have IMAX 2D? (I mostly dislike 3D….)
I hear that one scene was filmed for that format, so there ya go. Otherwise, isn’t it a worse experience because the viewing ratio is narrower, more square, than a normal widescreen experience?
Like Wookiee says it really depends how you like your movies. I just saw it in 3-D in my local (not IMAX) theater and the 3-D was good but it didn’t make or break the movie, in my opinion. The last 3-D movie I went to was Gravity (also at my local) and to me that movie is not worth watching without 3-D. So really it’s whatever you prefer.
In the 2nd act when you tap your neighbors Merryman are you suppose to get bobbles an mistletoes? I’m only getting money an extra points.

I am officially SW spoiler-proof. Saw it just now. I concur with everyone. Looking forward to reading (if I can find) the “joke” spoilers.
I think we should have an official Force Awakens [SPOILERS AHEAD] thread. I know how hard it was to not only wade carefully through the Open Thread, but it turned out to be appearing in any thread. I wouldn’t want to spoil people subscribed to Open. 😝
Well, anyway, what do y’all say to talking more openly after new year’s? Yup. Yup. I think I need to see it again. Partly busy analyzing the movie. I can’t turn it off very well. Next viewing I’ll have that out of the way. 👍
I figured after New Year’s I’d write something up so everyone could chat about it.

Ummm….my movie theater is pretty much sold out even past that. Please be sure to avoid any spoilers “above the fold”! I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie, but I’m not sure how soon that will be.
Of course Sandra…. won’t write anything until after New Years and out of respect for the movies and tappers I’ve come to love, would never want to spoil it.
But now you can’t talk about it in case others haven’t seen it yet, …..there’s probably an official forum where you can get it off your chest 🙂

I just noticed a bug today with friendship points and I was wondering if anyone else noticed it: when I get to the last action of a given value, after the “Thanks, have 25xp” screen, I notice I’ve gotten the next (lower) value of friendship points.
If I had 1 action left at 10fp, after the thanks screen, I had only been awarded 5fp. If I had 1 action left at 5fp, then that action was worth 4fp instead. The same was true for the last actions at 4fp and 2fp. I don’t have enough neighbors to check the final value for 1fp but, if it holds true with the others, then that last neighbor’s final action would be worth 0fp.
I’m no scientician but even I can add the lost points (for me) up to 8fp every day (if it’s a consistent glitch).
