Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well here we are, in the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas in Springfield! The leaves on the trees have fallen, snow blankets the ground and there’s joy all around town!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Mistletoe (
) to unlock each prize!
The first Act 2 prize awarded at 2,850 is Picture on a Rembrandt! For all your Rembrandt needs…
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 2,850 you’ll automatically be awarded Picture on a Rembrandt and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place the stand in your Springfield immediately or place it in inventory for later (store). If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..
If you decide to place it’s a decoration, so there is no build time.
And that’s really it to this little kiosk…no additional questline once placed and nothing to earn you more . Just unlock the prize and that’s basically it…

What Does it Do?: Not much really. Just a decoration for Springfield. It’ll kind of just sit there and not much else.

(I have 15 pages of unread comment emails waiting for me, since I didn’t have a chance to tally check in all day today…I shudder to think how many more will be there when I awaken (and no idea when I’ll be able to read them). The email account I use for this site is very limited in storage space, so I’m gonna have to figure something out! 😨)

Do you know if there is a glitch with gifts? I see my notifications that neighbors are dropping gifts but when I try to collect in my Springfield … There are not there !!!
Did you try hiding buildings and decorations in the “Move” mode to see if they are hidden behind any? Did you check the water?
weird – i never get notifications that neighbours have dropped gifts, only that they’ve collected the gifts that i’ve dropped in their towns… unless I’m an idiot and completely wrong… (wouldn’t be the first time…)
Ok, I could swear after one of the current tasks that it said that I could now build monorail pieces. I didn’t get the monorail maker on that specific quest when they were doing it because I didn’t finish on time. Am I crazy or did they open that up?
There’s a new station. You probably saw the popup for that station..it comes with more tracks
Is it just me or is it incredibly difficult to actually obtain items this go around?!?
I haven’t been able to acquire enough baubles and other things for crafting, etc.

When I placed it there was a bit of dialogue between Lisa and Homer, with Lisa explaining that Rembrandt is a famous painter, and Homer answering he would rather have his picture on a beer bottle or some such.

I placed slightly ireg xmas trees before it became a challange and now it hasn’t given me reward and shows I have 0 or 1 of them for challange even tried putting it in inventory and back and nothing

We can. However, when we do that people seem to think it’s the only post on the site and then don’t read the other posts. And we end up answering the same question a million times anyway…just about something else.
I have a question as well…before today’s daily challenge I had already crafted the Xmas trees slightly irregular. I tried putting it in storage to craft another one but I guess we’re only allowed to have 1? How can I complete the daily challenge if I crafted before? Thanks!

Ever since act 2 started I am getting less merrymakers. Is this normal? I was out of my town over 4 hours and I only found about a dozen merrymakers. At this rate I will never finish before Act3

I have a question, are Easter Eggs for all event as or only Thanksgiving? Sorry, I don’t know b/c Thanksgiving was my first Tapped Out event.

Ok I have a few questions: 1. This (21 dec) daily price is “build the uneven trees” and get 300 of those green stars, however I’ve already built that thing and can’t build it again. So can’t I get the prize and also later the 20 donuts at the end of the week for finishing all the daily tasks? I need those starts badly since I’ve gotten like 3 presents dropped in my town since the start of the event (those stars are fare to rare) and loads are required to build stuff.
Nr.2 Any idea when the Gill Donut Chistmas Deal is coming I have 0 donuts left and waiting for the deal since we in Europe have to pay alot more money for them then americans for some reason.
Nr.3 Finally any word as of yet for the build items from the previous part of the event that dissapeared never got to build that sign before it went away (again lack of those stars)

On the Gil deal…we won’t know till one hits. (and the higher rate is direct from the OS provider (Apple/Android/Kindle) EA charges the same amount to everyone. It’s the OS that charges more for taxes…EA still gets the same rate.)

I new help i already bought the Christmas tree stand and now it’s one of the activity in the week activity it won’t let me buy another one or clame my prize because it’s already done. What can i do??

I was thinking this goes straight into inventory, but you’re right it would look good on the pier.
The pier Would look good. Right now I’m re-building my Winter scene with the new ski lodge next to the ski lift. I was thinking it would go there but maybe not……..

Glad this is up, I tried tapping on the Picture on the Rembrandt earlier wondering if it made a noise or something. Good to know it just supposed to sit there.

So I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this, but for today’s daily task it’s to craft/place the irregular tree lot, but I had done that already and I can’t craft a 2nd one. Any idea how to still get the task completed? I tried putting it into storage and putting it out again but that doesn’t do anything.
So there’s an ENTIRE post about this that was put up last night…..sometimes scrolling on the main site helps 😉
