Well here we are, in the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas in Springfield! The leaves on the trees have fallen, snow blankets the ground and there’s joy all around town!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Mistletoe (
) to unlock each prize!
The second Act 2 prize awarded at 10,250 is Abercromie & Rich, for those times when you want to see someone with a 6pack without their shirt on…
So let’s take a closer look at this second prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 10,250 you’ll automatically be awarded the Abercrombie and Rich and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place the store in your Springfield immediately or place it in inventory for later (store). If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..
If you decide to place it, it does have a 4hr build time. And there is a task associated with it for Marge (4hrs) as part of the prize questline. But that is just a one time task….
And that’s really it to the store…no additional questline once placed and nothing to earn you more . Just unlock the prize and that’s basically it…

So, not sure if anyone is doing this, but I find it helpful for getting as much mistletoe as possible.
If the task is to send 6 kooks, even if I have 6 kooks I only send 5. When the task is done, I need one more. I then send all 6. 1 of them completes the task and 5 give me extra mistletoe – oddest-looking mistletoe ever =)
If I had send all 6 right away, I would only get mistletoe for 6 characters. But by being one short the first time, I get mistletoe for 5+6 characters.

Just a quick question…is there any urgency to have Marge do her task for this “quest”? She’s a pretty busy lady these days, and I’d like to put it off for a while, if it’s not time-sensitive.

I am not sure if someone already posted about this, but does anybody know how to get the fortress of solitude task started? I am at the last task for Level 3 for the Reindeer Burger thing. Thanks!!
Once you get to Level 3 of the Reindeer Burger Truck, Comic Book Guy will need to be free to keep the Quimby Questline going.

Am I missing something when it comes to collecting mistletoe? I play 10+ times per day and am quite behind most of my friends-I need over 1000 to get Abercrombie and Rich still. Are there tasks that earn mistletoe other than upgrading the reindeer burger truck and moe’s zoo? I have the irregular Xmas tree lot and visit friends daily… it just seems harder to collect event currency to me. Any tips appreciated!!!

Im ahead of track just clicking the merry things, ungrading the event items (you get bigger bonus when you complete), friend clicks
Do you comb your town for merrymakers every few hours? They spawn fairly quickly, so if you don’t get all of them you might be losing out.
Oh, another thought, are you upgrading the squishee stand? Those tasks to upgrade it are worth mistletoe.
Does anyone know if they crafting items from act 1 will come back? I was holding back collecting when i could have purchased a few things. I just really wanted the sign they had. I sure hope someone knows if they will be.
Sorry if this isn’t 100% related to the post at hand. I wanted to warn others NOT to store your “Hot Squishes Station”. I now can not see it in my inventory ANYWHERE. I was a level 17 and now the “Barty It’s Cold Outside Pt. 6 has me now at 1/20. I clicked “Do It” thinking that it would give me the option to drop the building again. Sadly it didn’t. My reason for storing it was to get a character out of the building so I could put them on the correct job. I’m not sure how I’m going to explain this one to EA. I may just have to except that I messed up and hope that using that building won’t be that important to have in this event.
You still have it, just choose all stored items and you will see it.

I have a question…when you click on Act Two Prizes it says new prizes will be added in 10 days, but when you click on the crafting tab it says the event ends in 10 days. Will we be able to still craft after 10 days??

Where are people planning on putting in the Chocolate Shoppe??
I’m tentatively planning to put it by the ice cream shop, but it will depend on the size.
I’m thinking about putting it tout in front of my chocolate factory when I get it. That seems to o me to be the perfect rperfect place for it.
Just finished building this. Going to go in my SH shopping district…whenever I get around to making one 🙂 and then the CHOCOLATE SHOPPE!!! SO excited for that oh my.
Also built the Efcot Center this morning. Instant build woohoo! Now I just need the ice couch, fireplace, and Lisa and Grandpa snowmen and I’m all done crafting. I wouldn’t mind some candy canes but not really a necessity.
Working on level 3 of the reindeer truck and level one of the fortress, now if EA would just fix the stupid glitch. 😀
You’re pretty much EXACTLY where I’m up to, except I’m a hair’s breadth away from crafting Efcot. i hate the stupid glitch – would’ve had Efcot by now if not for glitch!
In Australia – the glitch was fixed with a new update 3 hours ago!
I’m seeing more and more buildings that rightfully belong with that Springfield Heights Promenade sign that we got at the beginning of the Heights expansion… I may just have to redecorate, to really do things up right.
I have an issue I hope you can help me with I had already built Christmas tree Irregular and it won’t see that I’ve already done so for the weekly event what do I do Chevy509

Hi! I crafted the Christmas trees lot before the challenges appeared and now it is not recognizing that I already have the lot. I can’t craft it again and putting it on my inventory and out again does nothing. Is there a way to fix this?

I got this building last night and put it up in the heights.steadily working towards the next prize now.
Um, there kind of is a questline for this item. Was prompted to build it, and once built, send Marge to go Christmas Shopping. Not sure if there is anything past that as Marge is still shopping away.
Don’t consider that a questline…that’s part of the event telling you to get the prize (And it’s there before you even place the building). And there’s nothing after it
Good point, Marge just finished her task and there was nothing after that. On an unrelated note, I notice Marge has a task to do Laundry. I know this one requires Lurleen/Beer & Brawl, I have both, and have completed her questline, yet it remains locked, any idea?

Was hoping there’d be some way to unlock the task permanently, although can’t see using it, takes a day and a half lol.

I’ve put it in Springfield Heights alongside Vulgari and Banana Dictatorship. I think I may need to move things around a bit before I’m happy with its position but that’s not a priority 🙂

I just got this this morning. It’s nice enough and I always like more shops/smaller buildings.
I feel like I probably won’t get Festivus but I hope I can get the Chocolate Shoppe. Love that one!
