Now I know you may be trying to decide if these are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add any of the Animal Pens to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these exotic pens to your town!

The following pros and cons apply to all 3 Pens…
Pros:
-Animated decoration for Springfield
-Come with a small bonus % for all cash and XP payouts
-Neat looking way to expand your zoo
Cons:
-Just decorations, no character tasks there
-Pricey for just a .5% bonus
Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
They’re decorations, and like I say with ALL decorations…it’s a personal choice. If you like it and want it, get it. Otherwise pass. In my opinion the bonus % and fact that there’s really no use for these makes them not worth it. Just a way to get you to spend some of those donuts you’ve been saving…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell I’ll be passing on these. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting them make sure you make your final decision before they leave our games on January 2nd

Wooly Mammoth is a good decoration to put next to your Tar Pits! Fits in really nicely, always wanted to make it stand out.
The land Octopus is tempting, except I don’t spend donuts on anything without a playable character, except the Up Up and Buffet, which I often regret. Someone had posted a picture of all of them on the flicker page.
I need to get with the program! Life has been consuming my TSTO time. When I read “neat looking way to expand your zoo” I was like “what zoo?” Ha, I miss focusing on TSTO. Merry Christmas, all!
I would like to see a pic of the land octopus too – to help me decide. I love the petting zoo as part of Springfield. I hope a full zoo add on might happen in the future as an event.

I couldn’t resist with the price of the woolly mammoth. I hardly ever buy these kinds of decorations with no real value to the game, but I think one or two of these really makes Moe’s Petting zoo pop. Thanks for the post!
I did buy them. They are underwhelming in their overall action or appeal. If you are on the fence…pass. Maybe they’ll be available in a yard sale this summer.

I think I’m skipping these…I like them but I’ve been spending way too much and have to say no to something. Plus I prefer the contained look of the zoo without them. And my husband bought them so I can always go check them out in his town 🙂
I love the woolly mammoth pen, it’s my favourite! Bit small though 🙁
I got the mammoth and the land octopus and they are adorable and halarious. The piggy, bird didn’t call to me. Moe’s Petting Zoo is up there with my all time funniest, favorite decorations. I still laugh at the little sheep dragon.

I got it as they come with animals in them personally I think really good buy as it adds a unique felling as it’s the first zoo
It seems like an elephant pretending to by a mammoth is probably a little too legit for Moe’s zoo. I live in a mid-size city and our zoo doesn’t have any elephants.

I have to admit, I snapped up all three. I love the exotic petting zoo, and being able to make it bigger is awesome, it really feels like a small zoo with these additions. And they’re so cute! Completely worth it to me. Once Christmas is over I’ll probably try to setup a nice area with paths and shrub fences to help guide people. I just wish I could make them go visit!
They really help to make the zoo look more interesting, without them it’s kind plain looking

BUY! BUY! BUY! LOL these are one of my favourite things in my town hands down. And I doubt they’re ever gonna release a proper zoo, and if they do it’ll probably be quite small, so if you want a zoo this is your chance 😀
I like the idea of Moe running a petting zoo so I had to.
I really like you give your opinion on buying stuff. Thank you for that. This time my donut stash is low and budget says “no” to buying more just now. Besides my town is getting crowded and I’m too miserly to buy more land.

I don’t really understand how it can be “in use”. Do we need to own the elephant or the pig to use it ?
I believe, in this case, “in use” simply means that it has just been tapped on. The elephant/mammoth comes with the pen.
Thanks for this, I hadn’t realised they all had a bonus. It might be a small bonus but they’re so fun I think these have now gone into my ‘must have’ list 🙂
