There is a questline that popped up today (Tuesday) involving Homer called Out with the Old. I’m working through it now and will have a post up on it shortly…but it’s very short (3 parts) and all of the tasks require Homer.

New Christmas weekly challenges restarted yesterday! So let’s take a look at what you’ll need to do for 5 days during week 4 to earn bonus prizes and 20 bonuts!
Sorry these are a little late this week…I was away on Monday and didn’t get a chance to verify the challenges until today…
Here’s what’s in store for us this week…

And when you complete them all within the week you’ll earn 20 bonuts!
Remember all new tasks unlock at 5am your local time….and you have until 4:59am your local time next Monday to complete the challenges and earn the bonuts. More details can be found on this post.. (NOTE: Because Act 2 ends on 1/2, it’s possible the challenges may leave with it. So do your best to finish the challenges this week BEFORE 1/2/16, to be sure you don’t miss out on the donuts)

On Week 4 Challenge, day 2 where they go caroling it won’t let me do it. Is there a reason why?

All the ice sculptures in tapped out I crafted have disappeared. Checked inventory and are not there. Any suggestions?
Haha, I’m loving Festivus CBG so far! Also, it’s nice that Patches and Poor Violet seem to be getting a break in the new loading screen. Hopefully Flanders is giving them something useful…

I have crafted all the items from Act 1 and Act 2 and I still have a lot of crafting resources left. Are there any items which are beneficial to craft multiple times, like the wailing walls in the last THOH event?

I have a task for number 1 that is locked because it requires “Fewer lattes”. Please help!
The task pays out 15 lattes, so you have to clear some lattes, as it sounds like your latte storage is full. So spend some lattes
I just saw a week ago or so that #1 can make these lattes. Is this pretty new?
And…can anyone else help make SH items? That would be weird if this was unique.

Worth mentionig that if you are under level 20 you cannot complete the sing carols quest. It requires City Hall. Aaaand I think that’s pretty bs

Is anybody else having issues with getting Festivus CBG to work? For some reason even though I earned him, he’s not showing as an alternate skin.
I tried placing him into storage and nothing.
The skin didn’t “apply” automatically. I had to go into my inventory, in the character section, and “use” it. Maybe that’s your issue, too?
You have to retrieve the skin from storage
check your inventory, i know when i unlocked it it said “new skin has been added to your inventory”
I had a moment of panic as well, since his new skin didn’t show up when I tapped him. Then I realized the pop up said the new skin was “in your inventory.” I checked, and there he was. Pretty sure he was under the characters tab, so take a peek in your inventory. 🙂
I just want to say a huge thank you to the three of you for all your hard work and dedication! I didn’t find this site until level 50 something, but better late than never!
And, yes, I earned CBG and completed all tasks and quests, but I do not show him anywhere. Also my Fortress still has the green goo on it. I did complete the Maggie quest line before upgrading all my buildings, so maybe that has something to do with it? I’m working on all of Homer’s tasks now for the new year hoping F. CBG isn’t a premium skin and doesn’t help with the event.
Is it possible you still need to take the skin out of storage? When I unlocked the skin, it went straight to storage and I had to open it up and place it.
Yes, thank you, I found him. He wasn’t in my inventory by the two locked skins for Tap Ball–I had to hit the character icon and there he was!
“Craft and Item” in your table above should be “Craft an Item”.
Also worth noting some of the online shop items will be leaving in under 4 days, so some may benefit even more from getting the daily tasks done sooner, rather than later.
Do we know …..Friday’s challenge, will merrymakers tapped in neighbours’ towns count towards the 100 ? because if you have 30 neighbours, that will be 90 …….so if neighbour visits were due…..the daily challenge could be completed within 15 minutes 🙂
Most likely not, I don’t think it’s counted for any of them
I seem to recall the last time we had to tap Merrimakers, tapping in neighbor towns did nothing for me, even though I had actions available for the day, as stuff for the event was still dropping from neighbors.
One Merry Maker generated every 5 minutes is 12 / hour. Which equals just under 100 (96) in an 8 hour period.
With 20 allowed in your bank and 40 in your town for a total of 60, this challenge is achievable.
Let your town and bank fill up over night and clear it out first thing in the morning. Go to work and when you return you will have enough to finish the task.

How in the world can you do every task before first of january as the last task starts at the first of january…
