Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well here we are, in the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas in Springfield! The leaves on the trees have fallen, snow blankets the ground and there’s joy all around town!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Mistletoe (
) to unlock each prize!
The fourth Act 2 prize awarded at 27,450 is the Buckingham Pay-Less Motel! For all your motel needs…
So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 27,450 you’ll automatically be awarded the motel and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place the motel in your Springfield immediately or place it in inventory for later (store). If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..
And that’s really it to this Pay-Less Motel…no additional questline once placed and nothing to earn you more . Just unlock the prize and that’s basically it…

my xmas area stays out year round (as does everything else), so i’ve been slowly expanding the area to include the stuff that makes sense from this event. everything is still a work in progress, but i’m liking the buckingham here..

I have the cbg skin and all the act 2 stuff done.just waiting for the final act while working on my 2nd round of bonuts. I’m only 200 mistletoe away should have read hem some time today. Good luck to the rest of the he ppl still tapping away and happy new year to all 😉
How are you earning so much mistleholly? I’ve been tapping like crazy for over two days and I don’t think I’ve even hit 3,000 yet. Just hoping to be able to get at leat one round of bonuts…
Well I get mine from friends visits and from act 2 attractions every 4 and 8 hours. And I tap merry makers from around 7am til midnight everyday.and sometimes I’ll wake up in the middle of the night. (Not by choice. Lol!) But when I do I’ll log in and tap.Being stuck at home on disability gives me plenty of time to be a hardcore tapper. I believe my total of mistletoe is around 44.O00 ATM. Good enough for 2 bonus rounds but not enough time for three rounds.I’ve had almost a whole week free to work on my bonus rounds.
Okay, your tapping day is definitely much longer than mine (by at least 3 or 4 hours), so you’re probably getting at least one extra “harvest” of the buildings and about 36 to 48 more merrymakers (which, at 3 bows each, means about 100 bows more from that)…guess it all adds up. (Plus, you got Festivus CBG several days earlier.)

If it makes you feel better Sandra, I *just* got the first round of bonuts yesterday, and I tap a LOT. Definitely won’t be getting a second round. They seem to have realized how many bonuts people were getting from the bonus rounds and made them a lot harder.
I got lucky on stage 2 cause I got everything. Stage 1 I missed out on the children. Can’t wait to see stage 3
Got mine this afternoon! 🙂 And I’m *definitely* not going to make it to another round. I also checked to see if the bug they had going during tap ball (which allowed me to get, like, a zillion extra bonut rounds) was there for this event, but, alas, no.
I also hit Level 20 on my Hot Squishee stand today, so I’m done with that, too. Used up my crafing materials late last night (although I’ve gotten some since then) and finished this week’s rail yard today, as well as the weekly challenge. So, basically, at this point, I’m completely done doing anything that I “have” to do, unil the next release. Guess it’s time to get back to work on Springfield Heights tomorrow!

Unfortunately, I”m one of those people who needs lots of sleep….I would *so* love to be one of those folks who only needs 4 or 5 hours of sleep and can “forget” to eat. 🙁
What’s up with the New Years ball I was just awarded exploding? Now, it looks like a hot mess in my town? I can’t get it back to normal.

Did you post about Grandpa’s little storyline and quest somewhere? Because it went so fast and the Brother/Cousin(or whatever guy) confused me.. Was he a real Simpson’s character… Where did he come from… And why don’t I really care yet the one bringing it up?

Are there any known issues with Festivus CBG? I completed it, says I have the prize, have the collect mistletoe for doughnut task…. but no new skin for CBG???

Feels sooo nice to be done with Act 2 stuff and just being able to focus on earning mistleholly and rail yard stuff for bonuts. (Well, actually, I’m still working on the Hot Squishee Level 20 goal…I’m at Level 19, but I’m not sure I’ll make it to 20 before the act ends, since I’m using some of those kids at th rail yard. Does getting to Level 20 earn you mistleholly, and, if so, how much? I’m trying to figure out whether I should work harder at that, if it will give me a significant boost towards getting at least one bonut round in before the end of the event….

It only gives you 100 mistleholly. May help with the final push though if you’re almost at 4000 with only a few minutes before the end of the act 😊
I got to level 20 at the he start of the act and It gave me 100 mistletoe.
just another 100 mistletoe… mainly wanted to hit level 20 to get the squishee station stamp icon out of my task bar.
Sure could use some extra mistleholly….4,000 is proving to be very hard to attain…but also not sure that I’m gonna make it to level 20 either. Oh well…que sera, sera!
I have started playing again before Halloween and I have a quest that won’t leave. It is an OLD one where you make Moonshine plants at the farm. Any idea?

I’m afraid I won’t be able to win the CBG outfit. With no quests that earn mistletoe I see it remote only by tapping the merrygoers. I am at 33K and only 2 days to go. Should I quit and just wait for Act 3?

I have Marge needing to take Maggie for a walk. I have all the quests completed and everyone free. Did I miss something that would trigger the quest? Or do I need to wait until part 3??

Hi. I’m a little confused here. Celeb o mania quest part three popped up in my game. I’m on level 59 and I’m sure that quest line was done ages ago. Am I missing something?
Might just be a random glitch going on.
Claire – Are you sure that isn’t just one of the random “You’ve run out of tasks… so here’s another one just to keep you busy!” tasks that you get after you’ve finished all of the level-up and event tasks? (My current random task is to “Make Moe spy on Midge,”)
Afraid not. I completed that task and then the next task in the questline came up. Contacted EA not much help. Gonna try again tomorrow.
Interesting. Now that I’ve thought about it a bit more, I’ve also observed that some items can trigger dialog or tasks when they are stored and then pulled back out of your inventory, as people are likely to do with certain seasonal decorations… In particular, I had that happen this past November: when I pulled one of the Thanksgiving decorations out of storage that I’d earned last year, a short snippet of questline tasks associated with that item started back up. (I didn’t really think anything of it at the time, as I just assumed it was going to tie back into the current seasonal tasks, somehow.)
Could something like this have caused your issue?
Don’t think so. I contacted EA again. Was told other people had the same problem and they were in the process of fixing it. It’s not affecting my game it’s just annoying? Thanks for trying to help 😃
