Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well here we are, in the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas in Springfield! The leaves on the trees have fallen, snow blankets the ground and there’s joy all around town!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Mistletoe (
) to unlock each prize!
The fifth, and final, Act 2 prize awarded at 35,250 is Festivus CBG…for the rest of us…
So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 35,250 you’ll automatically be awarded Fetivus CBG and you’ll see this message popup:
He will be placed in your inventory…so you MUST go into your inventory to get him. Seeing a lot of you asking what’s going on because you can’t get the skin to work. You HAVE TO go into your inventory and select use on the CBG skin…otherwise he won’t appear in Springfield.
Once in your Springfield you’ll see his character unlock message:

Once in your Springfield Festivus CBG will have a questline, and it’ll start up once he’s in town..

What’s Next?
Bonus Donuts! Once you have collected the 35,250 needed for the Personal Prizes, you then will get the chance to earn some more for a Bonus Gift. Bonus Gift Rounds are 4000 . Once you reach the 4000 , the 3 Donut Box Pop Up will appear and you have a 1 in 3 chance to tap a box and get 3 Donuts. If you do not get the 3 Donuts, you can pay $150,000 to try again until you get the 3 Donuts you want.
So that my friends is the full breakdown of the fifth and final Christmas Act 2 prize!

Do we have to put on the outfit for it to trigger? I don’t recall getting a quest with the outfit.

Anyone notice there is an act ends timer that is two hours later than the new prizes timer? The Jan 1 timers, that is. End of act Two.

I’ve really disliked Act 2 of this event overall- the best thing was the Fortress of Lonelitude which aside from Maggie (which is great that Maggie is in the game! But it wasnt a particularly awesome intro quest) and the orphans are the only things that will last past the event (it suits my weird and sciency area)- 4 boring buildings plus yet another CBG skin has made the least fun reward track in recent memory. Also the weekly event bonuses item-wise were all repeats from past seasons! Hopefully Act 3 will be better!
The crafting menu countdown says event ends in 15 hours, but the prizes menu says that act 3 starts in 15 hours. Does that imply that even though there is another act, that crafting will stop at the end of act 2? Should I spend all my crafting currency before act 3 starts?

I’d forgotten about this prize and it’s still sitting in my inventory. Now seems an ideal time to work through the quest since I’ve got a couple of days before the monorail collection starts up again. Thanks for the reminder 😀
4,000 mistleholly is proving very difficult to achieve…don’t remember having this much trouble getting to even one round of bonuts in similar past events! Is anyone else feeling this way? It seems that the only comments about it I’ve been seeing are people saying that they’re working on their second (or more) round, but I don’t know what they could be doing that I’m not…
I’m in the same boat as you. Very hard for me to get that 4000. Not sure I’m going to make it even once.
Yep me too I’m still 1300 short of first bonuts with a day left of act 2, didn’t get any in act1. The only way I see is to login EVERY 4hrs to get the 160 from tree farm and also on8hrs to get piddling bit from other attractions then clear merrymakers all the time. That lot of grinding… I’ve got my 20 bonuts for this week so doing bit of monorail grinding to get 5 bonuts and maybe 3 more if I’m really lucky by tmrw 🙂
I’m just tapping on Merrymakers and the buildings. It’s slow going and I’m not sure the reward is worth the effort, pretty much sums up the whole game!
I’m hoping to get my first round of them today. I’m having a harder time this Act because my three year old daughter gave me a mild concussion, so my gameplay has been limited. But I’m feeling better today, thank goodness!
I didn’t get any in phase 1 but did get one bonus chance in phase 2. Stopped collecting in the last 24 hours as I wouldn’t be able to get a second go. Main thing is that it has again been nice and easy again getting all the freemium items at a relaxed pace… unlike another game I could mention! And all the daily challenge donuts have made up for some of what I spent over black Friday and cyber Monday 🙂

I’m not sure if anyone mentioned it before (because I can’t seem to search the comments correctly) but my OCD says that we’ve been actually collecting holly, not mistletoe. Hope that doesn’t invalidate all of our hard and important work during this current Act. 😛
I’m sure other people figured this out but After getting F.CBG, finding MerryMakers is easy. All you need to do it tap the (M)holly image in the task bar and then hit “Do it” and instantly be transported to a Merry Maker and continue to do so as long as there are MM available to tap.
Yep, and I love it. So easy to find and fun to zoom across town.
Anyone else immediately incinerate their New Years Ball?? So much for that decoration
Rumor in Merry’ole Springfield is that there will be no crafting in Act 3. I have a ton of crafting currency, I’m sure a lot of other tappers do as well. I have everything I want/need but if it’s going away I’d rather use it up than waste it. Any truth to this or is Bart just playing a prank?

The timer on the crafting menu matches the timer for act two, so it seems likely the crafting will indeed end.

unlocked this a couple days ago and the ‘feats of strength’ animation is one of my favourites in the whole game. just wish he had more outdoor actions.
Don’t know if this has been posted, but we are able to craft any item now, including the Act 1 stuff, without using donuts.
FYI: New item and quest today.
Item: New Years Eve ball. Free, triggered by Homer’s New Years Eve party questline. Placed on Grass (untried boardwalk/fancy boardwalk/crustyland). Has 3 states (top of pole, middle of pole, crashed on ground)
I broke my New Year’s Ball!!!!! Did anyone figure out how to reset the NY ball? I tapped mine and it is now a fiery ball of glass shards!
