Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Christmas is over but there’s still snow on the ground in Springfield! The festivities may have ended but there’s still more fun to be had…as Maggie and friends arrive in Springfield!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting Pacifiers (
) to unlock each prize!
The first Act 3 prize awarded at 2,700 is Kearney’s Other Son…because even Preshools need a little muscle…
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 2,700 you’ll automatically be awarded Kearney’s Other Son and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place him in your Springfield Immediately or Store him in your inventory for later. Remember, if you store him you’ll have to go into your inventory to unlock him in Springfield…
Once in your Springfield you’ll see his character unlock message:
And, just like his father, he’s part of the Toughies Character Collection:
Once in your Springfield Kearney’s Other Son will have a questline, and it’ll start up once he’s in town..

We have a tattoo parlor on squidport with “children’s tattoos” in the window, but KOS goes to the brown house for his tattoo???

They just need to make it both, so the task still works if you are not that far in Squidport.
Yes, I’m not sure why they don’t do that more often.
(The only example I can think of is the Bartman skin, which will go to the bartcave if you have it, and the treehouse if you don’t.)
There are plenty of places characters should go if you have them; Hibbert should attend republican meetings at the republican HQ, for example, with the white house being the backup plan.
I am a bit disappointed that Kearney has no interaction with his other son. Is that what I should have expected, what with him not having a real name and being “the other” son? Is that how it “should” be?
I guess that’s the thought process EA had but it still sucks, especially considering he’s a premium character that most daily players have whether they’re freemium or not due to the mystery box.
Couldn’t they beat up Homer together? I hope they add a task like that later. Similar for Maggie (with Gerald) …. and I’m gonna guess Ling, too.

Does anyone know if the bear cave produce more bears. I’ve been searching the site but can’t find an answer and I’m not sure where to post it.
It is just a location, nothing more. 😉
Personally, this part of the event is just okay for me. I liked having daily goals, but also, this is sort of a dull event. The quest lines move very slow with the long task times, which really limit the amount of time needed to play.
BUT I am so happy that we finally got Maggie!
I have him… he’s funny. I hope we get his first son eventually.

Am I correct in assuming that the show never gave him an actual name?
Not particularly excited about him (although it’s always great to get another freemium character), but I’m very excited about getting Mrs. Sinclair, so I can make more ARSfT more fully “realized.” Maybe she’ll take over taking the pacifiers away from those bears, since that’s kind of her thing! 😉
I wonder if reading “The Fountainhead Diet” will be one of her tasks.

Seriously…where does this kid come from? The episode theyve listed isnt right…as far as i know. I gave up on new episodes frankly after the awesome rock n roll camp…a while ago. But the pre 2000 ones are on all the time in my house since i’ve got my little guy hooked on them 😉 Luv luv luv this site! Thanx for all the hard work!

Kearny’s son has been one on my wish list (low on the list but he’s there) but Kearny’s OTHER son (I don’t remember his existance – I’ll have to wait for WDTCF post)?
Kearny’s first son or even Snakes’s son or Apu’s 8 would have been welcomed more than this kid but I’m not complaining, he isn’t a NPC as I originally expected.
Not getting my hopes up for Apu’s 8 kids to come into the game officially. They’d sorta have to make all 8 kids required for Apu’s feeding the kids task, and so far they usually only “require” one other character. (Or whichever one it is, I think its feeding the kids)
I guess since this is a baby themed act we have Kearney’s Other Son. It just seems strange we have not yet seen his first son (the preschool age one). Hopefully he will be released in an upcoming level update.

That could be another selling point for premium characters. Each one has some dual task with a freemium character. Kearney and his other son. SVT and his mom Lunchlady Dora/Doris etc.
Just curious if I’m the only person who didn’t know this event was Act 3. I’m sure it was explained/posted and I understand that it’s my job as the player to know what’s going on in the game. I’m just upset because I had a lot of event currency to craft things and wasn’t in a big hurry because I thought I had a whole act left to do it in 🙁

I have finally caught on with the theme: babies for the baby New Year. Maggie, this character, Gino, two daycare centers (the Stonecutter’s showed up in the store), the babysitting service, and eventually Gerald, whom Maggie has been busy practicing to hate. I’m enjoying this so far.
Uhhh just an observation, but the line “Here’s a look at the turbo tappin’ questline” comes after the actual list for the turbo tappin’ questline in the blog…. 😀

I can’t make up my mind either. I am leaning towards Ling but the babysitter bandit comes with a building. Decisions decisions…
I’ve bought Lucille and I really like her. Her regular tasks pay out pacifiers and she has some amusing animations. We don’t know, though, what Ling’s tasks will look like, so it’s a tough call.
I keep forgetting I have him. Happens a lot when they give us a new character then send them on indoor jobs for days
As long as he gets a full task list (and no friggin linked tasks like Sophie Krostofsky) I’m perfectly fine with the act.
