Hey there lil ones!
Bouncing by with some incite and details on a fun lil mini game involving Maggie you will encounter at the end of the Act 3 Main Questline.
Once you completed all 22 Parts of the Main Questline, the option to play “Where’s Maggie” will trigger in your game and the Playdough Factory will come into use for it.
Let’s take a closer look at this fun lil game and another way to earn FREE DONUTS!!
WHAT DOES THE PLAYDOUGH FACTORY DO?
First up, the main Question we keep seeing over and over and over. When you first place the Factory, you will see it does… NOTHING. That is because it’s main purpose for Act 3 will not come until you complete the Main Questline for Act 3 and start on Maggie’s Mini Game. “Where’s Maggie?”
So don’t stress it says nothing at all right now… just play the game. Once you complete End of the Beginning Pt. 22, you will then see the Playdough Factory’s use.

HOW DO I UNLOCK MAGGIE’S MINI GAME?
Just like I already stated above, play the game. You MUST complete the Main Questline for Act 3 all the way to Pt. 22 in order to gain access to Maggie’s Mini Game.

HOW DO I PLAY MAGGIE’S MINI GAME?
Once you have completed End of the Beginning Pt. 22, you will see the Pop Up Screen explaining the “Where’s Maggie” Game. It will be started by tapping on the Playdough Factory and going to find Maggie.
“WHERE’S MAGGIE” GAME 101
Go to the Playdough Factory and tap on it. You will see a Pop Up with the option to “Start” the Where’s Maggie Game.
As soon as you tap on Start, you will see lil Maggie on the Playdough Factory waving at you.
She will then hitch a ride on her lil red balloon and disappear.
Meanwhile, you will see the game start counting down in Maggie’s lil colorful blocks to begin your chance to go find her. 3…2…1…
Now you will have 1min 20secs to go locate Maggie in your game and tap on her. The timer in the Top Center of your screen will tell you how much time you have left.
WHERE CAN I FIND MAGGIE?
For my game, I mainly have been finding her on the Generic Color Houses. However, this is the list of possible places she may show up. (Remember, these are covered in snow, no leaves, or other Holiday Decorations right now.)

WHAT DOES MAGGIE LOOK LIKE WHEN SHE IS HIDING?
Lil Maggie will be hanging out somewhere on the rooftop of the various Buildings listed above playing with a butterfly.
Here are some pics from my game of where I found her. Remember she is REALLY teeny, so look close.
Also, if you saw in the Pop Up Guide for her game you can also “HEAR” her when you get closer if you have your sound up. The sucking noise she makes gets loud as you get near the area she is located.
I CAN’T FIND HER??!!
As you can see in the pics above, I have a “House Farm” aka a large group of Buildings all in one spot of my game. This can be hurtful when playing “Where’s Maggie” due to it can make it harder to see her if one Building is taller than the next.
Here is an Example. The ONLY way I knew Maggie was there is I caught a slight glimpse of the Butterfly and heard her sucking noise.
This one you can see she blended in a bit too. So beware of those areas where seeing her could be completely impossible or really difficult.
I CAN’T TAP ON HER??!!
Finding Maggie is one thing, tapping on her once she is found seems a lil tricky. Now it may be due to how close the Buildings are in my game… but I had to literally tap all around her, on her, and on the Building in order for it to recognize I found her.
If you find yourself having a hard time, zoom in as close as you can to see her and just tap everywhere around her and on her within the screen.
FYI… I started a thread on EA Forum for those still having issues tapping on her.
UPDATE 1/12: Here is what EA has to say about this via my post on their forums…
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FIND HER?
If you found Maggie, and successfully tapped on her, she will sit up, hitch a ride on her balloon, and you will get the Reward Pop Up.
Tapping on “Collect” will award you the $$ & XP then take you back to the Playdough Factory and check off one of the 3 Maggie pics. (You have to find her 3 times to get to the Donuts.)
The 16hr timer will now start to countdown until you can play “Where’s Maggie” again. (Or pay Donuts to speed it up.)
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT FIND MAGGIE?
If you are not successful in finding Maggie (Or find her and tap too late), you will see a Pop Up Screen with a smaller Reward.
You will now have to wait another 16hrs to try again. (Or pay Donuts to speed it up.)
DO I HAVE TO WAIT 16HRS?
Yes, unless you want to spend Donuts to speed it up… which is silly and defeats the purpose of the game. Why spend 24 Donuts for a chance at winning 1-3 Donuts?
In short, just wait. If you are not sure how much time is left, just tap on the Playdough Factory and see how much time is remaining before you can play again.
WHAT IS THE ARROW NEXT TO THE TIMER?
You will notice there is a Black Arrow Icon next to the Countdown Timer at the top of the Screen. This essentially just stops the game. It is just there if you want to stop looking for Maggie for whatever reason.
Tapping on it will give you a Pop Up screen asking if you are SURE you want to give up looking for Maggie. If you select yes, you will have to wait another 16hrs to play “Where’s Maggie” again.
I honestly don’t see a use for this myself. If I started the game, I would rather give it a go then wait another 16hrs.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I FIND MAGGIE 3 TIMES?
Once you start your third time finding Maggie, and actually find her in the 1min 20secs, you will still see the same Pop Up Screen with the Reward…
However this time when you are taken back to the Playdough Factory, you will see the 3 Bonus Mystery Donut Boxes.
Tap on any of the 3 to see if you Won 1, 2, or 3 Donuts.
If you did NOT get the amount of Donuts you wanted AND have the extra $$$ to spare, you can pay $150,000 to “Try Again”. Just tap on the $150,000 Icon on the other Box(es) until you get the amount you want.
If you do not care, you can settle for the amount it gives you and tap “Collect”. For me, I have $$ to spare so I will always try again until I get 3 Donuts.
WILL THE GAME CONTINUE ON AFTER THE EVENT?
As of right now, I can’t answer that. I only see the details for the Event and will not know or be able to test if it will continue until the Event is over. At that time we will also be able to see what use the Playdough Factory will continue to be after the Event too.
I am “assuming” it will end with the Event… but who knows, EA was generous in keeping around the Monorail Donut earning.
UPDATE: CAN I TAP ON ANYTHING ELSE WHILE LOOKING FOR MAGGIE?
Just wanted to add this bit in here due to I am seeing a lot ask about it. Many are wondering if they can use other features of the game while in the middle of playing “Where’s Maggie”. The answer is NOPE. The ONLY thing you can do while playing “Where’s Maggie” is … play “Where’s Maggie”. Nothing more.
- You can’t tap on any Buildings to collect items.
- You can’t tap on any Bears.
- You can’t tap on any other Characters.
- You can’t put the game in “Move/Edit” mode.
- You can’t go to Town Hall to try and “locate” her.
Essentially EVERYTHING but the “Where’s Maggie” mini game will be completely disabled until that timer runs out. Hope that helps to answer those questions.

I encountered a strange problem today with Maggie. Just wondering has anybody else seen it?
I followed Maggie’s sacking noise and located her at the elementary school, tried clicking on her and it wouldn’t work. Then the timer ran down and the game showed me her actual location, she was on moe’s tavern!
I had passed over moe’s and there was no Maggie or noise. She was on the steps of the school. She stayed there after the game finished even when I sent Maggie herself on a job until I closed down the game and restarted it.
The mini game hashas only just started working again for and I really don’t what there to be another problem with it. Really hoping it’s a once off thing.
Has anybody else seen this?
I was seeing and hearing Maggie a *lot* on the steps of the school for about a couple weeks. Seems like they fixed this recently, though.
Help, my factory timer says done, but when I click done it comes up to spend two donuts. So essentially the game is stuck? Have you heard of this and is there a solution?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling but only if you have an origin/ea id
So I’ve decided to start a new game and I’m on level 12…does this mean that I don’t get Maggie?
I have her on my A game (that’s been going for 3 years – but I’m an addict lol) but I’m wondering if I’m going to get her. I need donuts lol
She was part of an event so unless EA allows release of her another way… No.

I got her when I reached level 27 a few days ago. I can’t remember after which quest I finished.
I have not received dounuts after finding maggie 3x atleast the last 2 times

Ive found maggi way more than 3 times, but the game doesnt register that. So i cant win the donuts.

Yes, glitches, aka bad programming, are fairly common on complex games, but this isn’t the case. EA probably has some intern programming this for them for 7 bucks/h and a food stamp.
Why couldn’t they deactivate everything “tappable” but maggie and the building she is located at while playing this mini game? Why IOS users (applemaniacs) get updates first (meaning they have a little more time to gather event currency)? Why couldn’t they deactivate Arnie’s tapping while he is on the chopper?

Isn’t that what they did? You actually are tapping on the building.
What determines how much time you have to look for Maggie? I only get 1:18, while someone else I know gets 1:22.
I believe what Level you are on.
Number of buildings you have (or, possibly, just the number of Maggie-hiding buildings you have). A bunch of us compared notes to confirm that, back when this mini-game first started.
My wife has finished the quest line and has no mini game. She placed the factory in storage and back out but no mini game. Anyone else have/had this issue?

I have tapped Maggy 4 times, but cannot get any donuts 🙁 It shows 3 wins (all checked and yellow) = donut and timer counts next 16h. But can’t get em.
hard close and restart TSTO. Also try and uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn’t work contact EA.
Is anyone else having issue with tapping on maggie? I have a Galaxy Note 5, i changed my zoom, even used the stylus, first, i have issue finding her, then, it wont count my tap.. Any ideas???

My last 2 attempts I have found Maggie and trying to tap Maggie isn’t responding, continuous pressing eventually the time runs out and Maggie floats off with the message appearing “oops’ out of time” “try again in 16 hours”
Any one else having the same issue??

I’ve been able to find Maggie every time so far. I found that tapping on the door of the building does register that you are tapping her much easier! Today Maggie was on the steps of Springfield Elementary, not the roof! Anyone else finding her other places than the roof?
The last two time I have revealed the amount of donuts (3 donuts and then 2 donuts) they were not added to my total. Is anyone else having this problem?

I’m not sure if I’m understanding what you’re saying but, when you get the three boxes, you can never end up with more than 3 donuts. If you get a box that has, say, 2 donuts and you pay to pick another box, what you get in that box is INSTEAD of the first box you picked. And, if you pay to open the last box, you’ll get whatever was in that box, INSTEAD of whatever was in the second box. They’re not cumulative…as soon as you pick a box with 3 donuts in it, STOP! 🙂
I did stop at 3 and clicked on collect and it did not add to my total. And this last time I picked the box with 2 donuts tapped on collect and it did not add to my total. I will contact EA

If you tap on the building she’s on the roof of, it works fine. It took me a while to figure it out, but it’s worked the first tap every time since I did.
Hey my problem is: i found her the last 5-6 times in a row. if i click on the play-dough-factory it says i found her three times. but i dont get the donuts as usual and it does not reset to start a new….any tips? does anyone have the same issue?
Go to your friend screen, where you see other Springfield. Tap on the handshake icon (bottom right) and you should get an option to log in with Origin (or EA). Tap on that and follow the steps for creating an account. You’ll then see it say there’s a springfield at level _____ on this device, is this your game? If the level matches the level you’re currently at click yes. And it will link both.
hmmm i do have an account. there are buttons like “add origin friends” and “EA log out”. i will try to log out and in again..thanks for your fast help!

I’ve had no issues finding her. Until yesterday. Yesterday I could hear her, but not see her (and even when they showed me where she was, there was nothing there) and today even though I went through my town for the entire 1 minute 40 seconds I’m given, I didn’t hear a thing. When they showed me where she was, she was indeed there, but since I look for her by sound, they could have given me ten minutes and I still never would have found her.
When I can’t see her, I just tap the base of every building in the surrounding area which usually works.
I tried that yesterday, but there had to have been a glitch, when even when they “showed” where she was, she wasn’t there! And how does tapping on every building work when you don’t even hear her, like I couldn’t today? I think I’ve already received 12 donuts from the Maggie game, so I definitely know how it works…it’s just frustrating to all of a sudden meet with technical difficulties.
Feel the frustration… you have to hear her for the scatter tapping to work. I’ve had a few times I didn’t get her either and just chalked it up to this is a game and I can’t win every time. Any bonuts are good ones.

It’s so cool how if you don’t find her you don’t lose the times you previously found her!
Whoever told me about tapping the front door of the building is a life-saver! Yesterday I could not see her but managed to find her anyway. Turn up your volume and listen for the ‘suck suck’. Then tap every building on the screen – even if you cannot ‘see’ her she will be on one of those buildings and you will get the “You found Maggie!” screen. Thanks community!
I have a Droid Turbo and after i look for Maggie for a minute and 20 seconds i dont find her and hear nothing, then it shows she was on a building i went by twice. My wife has an iPad mini and Maggie makes the sucking noise several times as you get closer. This mini game is a waste of time as was clicking on the bears to get it.

While I can’t speak to the arrow specifically, I have noticed this: I’m using a SGS4 and if I can’t find Maggie right away (I think it will help in the future knowing which buildings to zero in on) I could hit the home button, exiting the game, then do a force quit of the game. Then I could go back in and try again, instead of waiting the 16 hours. My guess is that is actually what the arrow is for. Basically you can bail just before the time is up and try again instead of waiting…
Force quit isn’t the same as the arrow. Arrow forces you to wait the FULL timer before trying again.
Force closing and quitting a game prevents game sync and “rolls back” your game to the last save point it hit. So… possible game progress, purchases, and winnings can be lost too with a force close if you’re not careful with it
While I believe you, do you think it’s slightly different then that? When I’ve tried this the play d’oh factory always has a 5 minute wait, not instant. I didn’t notice any issues with things in my game reverting, either. Just a risk not a guarantee, I suppose.
That’s why I said “possible” as we all know it varies on device, game play, Internet connection, etc. Just like one device can handle 6500 to 7500 items in Springfield, where as another crashes at 4500 to 5500. Variables… so… “possible” varying on YOU. 😉
Annoying, can find Maggie in 30 sec, spend a minute plus tapping to no avail. It leaves me with the feeling of wasted/missed doughnuts (like the early days before the doughnut spend confirmation feature).
A mini-game shouldn’t turn me off the regular game.

You each have a different number of buildings. That seems to be what determines how much time you get.
I’m having the same issue. Zoomed in, zoomed out, tapping directly on Maggie, tapping around her, moving Maggie to different places on the screen….none of them work. I’ve run out of time the last 4 times that I’ve tried, meaning that I have lost out on 3 doughnuts! It worked just fine for me the first 3 times I played it, and I got the doughnuts. But now….nothing!

I found tapping on the DOOR of the house she is on got her clicked.

After about 15 seconds in my game crashes every time. Anyone else have this issue?
I love Simpsons Tapped out. this mini game with Maggie is totally frustrating. Hate it!!! can’t click on anything to make it work. only 3 donuts at best. NOT WORTH MY TIME!
So frustrating. Why? I finally find her twice and can’t tap on her, the building nothing. what a stupid game. Level 59 and irritated!! i guess i won’t be getting the donuts on this one……………………………
