Where Did THAT Come From – Kearney’s Other Son

Woo hoo!  The MAGGIE ACT!!!!

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

It’s still snow time like the present to be playing an event in TSTO and we keep getting more and more amazing stuff. You know what that means… it’s time again for me to dip into my noggin of Simpsons info and write about specific stuff. For this post I will be going over the first prize from Act III of the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event for 2,700 Pacifiers/Binkies/Nuks/Chupas… Kearney’s Other Son. But what does this roided out bambino have to do with the Best. Show. Ever.?  Where did HE come from? Let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.

Leave it to EA to do my job again but oh well. If you didn’t see, the unlock screen for Kearney’s other son showed his first appearance was in “Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder” (S11:E6).

I’m sure you can tell by the title this has something to do with bowling. It does tie in to Maggie though since Homer blew off a tea party with her to go with Lenny and Carl.

The interesting thing is although I watched this episode four different times, I couldn’t find Kearney;s Other Son anywhere in this episode about Homer bowling a perfect 300, becoming a local hero “without the aid of steroids, crack, angel dust, or the other narcotics that are synonymous with pro bowling”, having his fame fade quickly, and then after a failed suicide attempt, deciding to bond more with Maggie… the forgotten Simpson.

I mean jeesh EA… if you plan to take away my job here doing origins or make it easier, at least do it right. As a bonus, the episode does have Ron Howard, Penn & Teller, and Morlocks, CHUDs, and Moleman’s Mole People. If any of you found him though, please share because I’ll be the first to admit my memory and watching isn’t perfect.

Penn & Teller, Morlocks, CHUDs, Molepeople Simpsons

The only time I remember Kearney having a son other than Kearney Zzyzwicz, Jr.. was in “Eeny Teeny Maya, Moe” (S20:E16). Friends familiar with this episode might remember it as the Moe falls in love with a tiny lady episode. Homer is ignoring Maggie to watch hockey… I actually understand this one. Go Kings Go! Maggie barely knows Homer so he takes her out on the greatest daddy-daughter day EVER. To Lard Lad’s, the tire fire and Moe’s. Moe is sprucing up the joint and discovers he has a window in the back with a view of a playground… weird.

Moe's Playground Simpsons

Poor Maggie meets Bully kids at Moe’s playground but Homer picks her up before they can pounce.

Maggie Simpson vs Bully Babies

We see Kearney’s other son there later. The kiddos bang their sand buckets all tribal style as he enters the ring towards Maggie. Homer swoops in oblivious once more.

Of course then Marge installs spying eye technology in Maggie’s hair bow. If she’d only watched the video, she might have discovered the bullying babies and Kearney’s offspring all Warriors style.

She does watch it later though. Too funny to see Baby Zzyzwicz beat up Homer and then Maggie to punch him out to rescue her dad.

As a bonus… the Tiki Bar from Squidport appeared in this episode too!

And that’s it friends. The origin for the new character that wasn’t really identified as actually being Kearney’s until TSTO did it. Before this, it all had to do with the resemblance. What do you think of the first prize of Act 3? Hopefully you earned him. This post should probably make his tasks with Moe make more sense. Sound off in the comments and happy tapping friendereenos.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. Hope everyone saw this fantastic little gem: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/simpsons-80s-intro_568fb9abe4b0cad15e645756

  2. I. Want. That. Playground!

  3. It’s the leader of all bears in Russia.

  4. What is the deal with the bottles on his fingers?

  5. Dont forget dummies! We call pacifiers dummies here in the UK 😉 lol.
on a side note, when will the baby poll results be up? Or did I miss them somehow?

  6. I also watched the Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder episode and didn’t see him in it. I think EA just messed up.

Warriors… come out to play-i-a…. Warriors … come out to play-i-aaaaaa

    • There IS a lil Baby that could be mistaken for his kid… but it is not… unless that’s the “Mom”. However Kearney himself shows up in it a few times, so they may have just researched the keyword “Kearney” and pulled it.

I have found many times that Wiki and other sources for the TV shows are inaccurate in their “appearances” of Characters as the person they assumed it was, in fact was not that Character at all… looked the same due to the artists, but definitely not the Character. It also could be Simpsons intended them to be in it and the scene was cut later, but the “facts” never changed for the episode. 😉

  7. And soothers. Can’t forget Canadians or you’ll have an international incident on your hands. 😜

  8. According to wiki you are correct and EA is wrong. Eeny Teeny Maya Moe is the first appearance contrary to what EA thinks. Only way I can see it is if maybe he was a background character in the episode they mentioned maybe? Like on the Muppets, the main story happens out front, but alot of the gags and stuff happen behind them.

  9. So close… I currently have my mini-golf course directly behind Moe’s… though I also have some of the playground equipment in the same general area. It looks like I’m going to have to swap things around a bit. 😀

  10. Ok…so it wasnt just me that couldnt find him in the 300 game episode! Thanx for the info! Have not seen that baby bullying episode! 😜

  11. Those purple pony ride-on things at Moe’s playground…want-want-want!

    • Me too. I have like 4 playground areas situated around schools and in parks. I was real happy to get the new slide. I really want picnic tables for Springfield and Krustyland.

  12. The animation when he completes his “Beat up a Dummy” task is hilarious.

  13. yea Eeny Teeny Maya, Moe is the only one.

  14. Anybody else go into full pantomime mode when there’s a bsar creeping up on one of your characters?
    ” It’s behind you”
    “Oh no it isn’t”
    “Oh yes it is”
Cue comedy double take and cartoon “skedaddle” noise….. 🙂
