Where Did THAT Come From – Moonshine Shack

Christmas is over, the Wookiee’s getting fat… time to put a penny in the fuzzball’s hat… (a penny for my thoughts I guess).

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

Woo hoo! It’s still holiday time in TSTO and all of it came with lots of goodness. Wookiee chiming in with origins for most of it. That’s right friends… it’s time again for me to dip into my noggin of Simpsons info and write about specific stuff. For this post I will be going over one of the items that was available in Act II of the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event… the Moonshine Shack. But what does this have to do with the Best. Show. Ever. and Christmas? Wasn;t it an original?  Let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.

“Rednecks and Broomsticks” (S21:E7)

What’s more festive than an episode about Wiccans and Moonshine? While not a Christmas episode, me thinks this one might have been a nod to anyone who celebrates Yule in a if you watch the episode there you go sort of way. I’m sure my Dad would agree since every year he insists on calling his Christmas Tree a Yule Thor Bush. Anywho… this episode does start in the vein of this event with a turkey dinner, watching football, a ski weekend, and holiday traffic.

Thanksgiving DInner and Football Simpsons

Thanks to the consequences of “Bonk It, Twist It, Smack It, Whack It”, our favorite family almost hits a big rig, careens off the highway onto a frozen lake, hits Bambi and is subsequently rescued by the Spuckler clan. Cletus introduces Homer to his pride and joy… Old Betsy. “A female who gives birth to alcohol.”

Moonshine Shack Simpsons

Definitely our new Moonshine Shack when it’s all done at Level 3. Pretty cool. Also cool that Homer ends up being an amazing moonshine taster. “Now let’s enjoy the bluegrass stylings of the country bear jamboree.”

Sorry, I couldn’t exclude a great gag on a Diznee attraction. The rest of the episode is definitely worth watching. Certainly one of the better ones from the latter seasons with “boom potaters”, moonshine/redneck jokes and Lisa’s Wiccan friends. Favorite line of the episode: “I bet you think all space is Star Wars?” What do you think of the Still? Did you finish it? I think it’s pretty swell that we got four different special items to upgrade in Act II. Sound off in the comments and much love this holiday season.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

    Well,
I placed : the fever cabin, Muntz house, Wrecked Brown House, Fort Sensible, Cletus Farm, the Still, The Fire Place and Christmas Tree Farm all together surrounded by trees – which leads into my Ski Chaletes and Mountain Retreat and off the edge of the useable space.
My old Simpson Farm has (figured them out recently) the original Brown House, QuikEMart and Krusty Burger along with my Farmers Market and such.
It does get difficult trying to think of logically, wouldn’t the Police Station and Post Office and Court Housebe close by, but how do you transition to the Mansions and business district and dump and prison. And where do you place housing – and enough for friends to tap on.
Sometimes, it just has to be where it be.

  2. Anything for the Cletus area is welcome,……in about a year or when I get enough straight monorail pieces …..I’m going to re-locate my Cletus area with tetanus terminal to a more out of town rural setting as I don’t think it looks right in the centre of town
also when I placed it I only had about 20 track pieces and that’s where it has stayed,
The moonshine shack will end up there eventually …..and the Xmas trees slightly irregular
Now I’m thinking about it, I might start buying land ….on the other hand you can’t see how stuff looks till the snow has gone

    🐻 🎈 🌲 🌲 🍩 🚝 💡 🙂

  3. I wish I had room next to Cletus’ farm to put the shack there, but I didn’t, so I put it in front of Tetanus Terminal, figuring it could be like the equivalent of having a Starbucks in front of Grand Central Station or something. 😉 (And at least it kind of fits there, aesthetically.)

Maybe I should consider moving Cletus’ farm…it always has looked kind of funny being right near some regular houses, stores, and right across from the little park, all of which is a holdover from when that was all the land I had to work with. But I’m also not a big fan of moving “legacy” stuff around and, if I marginalize it too much, I’m afraid I’m gonna forget to collect and replant my Triffids (OMG – just realized that that’s exactly what I did do this morning…or was it last night….*sigh*…gonna need Marge to do some crop speeding today, once she’s done helping to refill the glass supply for next week…).

  4. This has been a big year for my Spuckler clan, first the Monorail event gave them their own backwoods Moonshine making HQ complete with observation towers and armored vehicle, this Christmas they got bold and used some dem wiggly extra rail parts to make their own moonshine run to The Gridiron (next up- Shotkickers, first they need to renegotiate protection $ to Tony and bribe $ to Quimby to keep away dem revenooer’s now that they’re gettin public n’all) Now another still to meet demand- if Cletus didn’t have all those mouths to feed he might be giving Burns some competition for richest man in town.

  5. “one of the items that was available in Act II of the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event for 200 donuts”

Wasn’t it free – and had to be built – upon reaching part 5 of “Once in Royal Quimby’s City”? I certainly don’t remember swapping doughnuts for it.

    • He may also be referring to those that did not get a chance to completely Level it up before the Act Changed. If it was not fully leveled, donuts were the only way to do it.

    • Yes it was free, same as fortress and burger truck
Bunny is right, donuts to buy if you missed it 🍩 🍩

      🐻 🎈 🌲 🚝 🍩 🙂

    • It was and this is what happens when you write up a bunch of prigin posts and miss some words when proofreading and changing for the next one. Gotta love the people defending me though. Thanks for pointing out the mistake.

  6. Good thing I put it right next to the farm! (I figured it was a Cletus thing. And it always bugged me that he had a task to make moonshine, but nowhere to make it.)

  7. wheres bunny did she scape?

  8. Definitely love all the items that came with act 2 (and 1, and the MAGGIE act 😀 ) although when it pertains to act 2, I just wish they didn’t pretty much come all at once. I know we had to get one to level 2 before the next one started, but by the time we get the fourth attraction a ton of characters were tied up, and couldn’t do other things. Doesn’t help that some of us are still working on upgrading Heights, not to mention the Monorail, so some of our characters are in fact needed, and at least half of those characters, or more, were busy, ALL at the same time….phew, ok rant over, had to get that out of my system lol.

  9. I thought it came from the show Moonshiners 😛

I really like this moonshine shack, I wanted the premium one for a while but this is even better to have on the Cletus farm. Thanks for continuing to do all the WDTCF post Wookiee man.
