Hey there Hoppereenos!
Bouncing on in really quickly to let you know that an Episode Tie-In hit our silly lil games this morning.
With Alissa busy with Mommy duties and me… well… hangin in there. I wanted to get at least SOMETHING up on the site until we can finish pulling more information, so hang in there and keep an eye on this post as more information will be updated as we can get to it. 🙂
BACK WITH MORE IN A BIT!!
Sanjay first auto started the Questline as soon as I opened the game. He has some quick dialog with Homer and then a short 4hr task. Once his 4hr Task is complete, you will unlock his son Jay for free into the game.
Jay then continues on the Questline, Big Jamshed. Along with a few other Characters along the way.
The Questline comes to a hault at Big Jamshed Part 5. Then the Episode Tie-In Pop Up appears.
“Tune into this week’s Simpsons and find out what else Jay plans to do with the Kwik-E-Mart. Sunday 8/7 central on FOX!” (Episode- Much Apu About Something)
If you own Dr. Nick, he will then start a Side Questline. Dr. Nick’s Remedies.
NEW/OLD ITEMS
As soon as you unlock Jay you will also notice a quick pop up..
“Check the store for the limited time clothing and other monuments… the non-metaphorical ones” (You will also see another pop up within the Questline directing you again to the Menu)
New items can now be found in your Menu for donuts. Here are the items I am seeing so far.
Police Tank: 60 Donuts (Has a mini Questline with Wiggum, and YES… it did destroy some buildings in the Questline. Lol.) After I finished the Questline, I was able to tap on the Tank and randomly “Destroy Buildings” around town. They went back to normal after a bit or tapping on them, but it really made me giggle.
Quick & Fresh: 30 Donuts (Has a mini Questline with Jay)
Cool Brown House w/Cool Homer Costume: 120 Donuts (This is a returning item from a long time past. Also a tie-in.)
Liberty Bell- $50,000
Lisa Statue of Liberty- 75 Donuts Should I Buy

There you have it. A Free New Character, possibly some more tie in items coming up, some New Buildings, and the return of a really Cool House and Homer.

Anyone have an idea why I can’t unlock jays 1hr job?
Bunny I never had this pop up quest line 🙈🙆🏼💁🏼 I was wondering what I did wrong so I’ll go to the help section and hopefully figure out how to contact ea as he was apart of a quest that just never triggered for me.. 💃🏼👇🍀❤️
It was a tie in, so dependent on you being active in the game to trigger it before it left and was “killed”(usually the following Monday after episode appeared). Questline stays, but the trigger does not. It’s a limited time trigger usually.
You can check with EA but with tie ins if the trigger is “killed” they can’t do much after its gone. You can still ask to see what they say
O.M.G!!! The cool brown house!!!! I’ve been covetting this since I started playing last year!!!! Almost everything I wanted from past events has come back!! The only thing left is Springfield falls!!!! ☺️😏😊😉😁😀😃😋
Funny so have I Alissa and I have a running joke Sing with me Alissa hit it ” Don’t go chasing waterfalls please stick to the rivers and the lakes like you’re used to”
Neat, Jay has a permanent job at El Chemistri. Now I can move on with Luann’s questline. She was my only character that could light up that building.

Jay’s 12hr task is at El Chemistri, so that’s another chance to see the animation for that building. I always like it when the lights are flashing.

LOL The Quick & Fresh reminds me of Fresh & Easy that recently went bankrupt… gee I wonder how Quick & Fresh will fair XD

It seems like you can but I haven’t tested as I have no need for more than one.
Yes, cool homer! This happened during a period my game wouldn’t work, and my boyfriend got it for free in his town and I’ve been jealous of him for what, three years now?!
The Krustyland Shuttle is looking a bit different too. Wonder what’s going on there..

It changes based on your conform-o-meter. How many stars do you have in Krustyland?
I preferred the first two levels, where it was just a simple bench. It was my general bus stop. Now it’s specifically for Krustyland, no bones about it.
I am so happy with the cool brown house, it’s one of the houses I saw at my neighbours Springfield and wondered what it was and how they got it! I bought it immediately. Really cool.
Since the update, my other Springfield doesn’t have bears nor ability to tap a building for friend ship points. Anyone else have this problem? Real people Springfield are OK.
I’ve had the same issue where my other Springfiled does not have any bears to tap for friendship points. Is this some type of glitch?
I have this problem, too
from the latest update:
– Buildings are no longer tappable in friend towns for the duration of the event.
– Imaginary Bears were removed from Other Springfield.
and as far as i know, tapping on buildings in Other Springfield has been disabled since the start of the event.. or at least since the bears arrived in act 3. sucks for my son, who’s had nothing to tap on in the other springfield since he started his new town last week
Does his character message really say “bitch slap”? had to read twice when i saw it haha
I’m really happy that we got an episode tie in. I feel like we haven’t had those in a while. I really wanted/was hoping/ thought it was hoping to be a new level. Because that’s what I really want in the game right now. When do you think we will get a new level? Do you think we will get one before the event ends? I feeli like we always get a new level when we are in the middle of an event.
Based on getting this, I’d suspect it’ll be after this event ends.
If you already have the cool brown house. Store it and put it back out and you will get the new homer

I log in every day right before leaving for school (6:06), and I didn’t see any in-game update till after school (2:30). I think I’m missing something…

I got Baby Gerald just now. Woo hoo! I just started his quest line. Bonuts on the way too. 4000 pacifiers to get first batch of bonuts. No more searching for bears. Tap on pacifier on left side of screen and tap “do it”. It will take you right to an available bear to tap.
Everyone’s saying you send Sanjay on the task, but in my town it makes me send Apu. Although I unlocked Sanjay and am at the highest level, 59.
maybe sanjay was busy at the time the questline started, so they let you send apu instead? all i know is that in my son’s new town he just started recently, he’s only at level 13, so apu was given the task.
I know that it not related to the tie-in,but I saw the new Cutscene which is shown after completing Homer’s 12h task “Guess Mr. Burns’ Password”, is totally cool,and makes a great allusion to Deep Space Homer’s ending scene,and it is exactly explains how the Kaboom happened.
And it makes a big twist in the story of the game 🙂

I always wondered where those Cool Brown House came from but didn’t know what they were called! Anyway I can’t afford it, haha.
Jay is a welcome addition. I thought he was a level update at first. I’ve never got a full character from a tie-in before.
I have to admit I’m a bit shocked how much work people put into stats in this game. I love strategy games but this really isn’t one of them. If that’s how to enjoy playing more power to you. I’ve just always followed the questline and tap on whatever is required for the event and aside from Easter 14 never had a problem.
Even cleaning house can use strategy. Everything is a strategy game. And yes, for some, that is how we have fun.

Update – I bought the cool brown house and rearranged some so that I could place it next door to the Simpsons (as I believe it was on the show), and I LOVE IT!!! It looks so amazing there. Happy, happy joy joy!!
I hope Wiggum’s task on the tank (really an Armored Fighting Vehicle, but what’reyagonnado) is permanent, because he looks fantastic just chillin’ out up there.
Have we seen “Quick & Fresh” before or is it new for this episode?

New for this episode
It’s a parody of a California-based grocery store called Fresh & Easy, which only operated in a few states (fairly common for American grocery chains; very few manage to be nationwide.) They’re actually filing for total bankruptcy and closing down stores right now.
So in some towns, bears are not spawning, and it appears that all the normal neighbor stuff (vandalism etc) has been turned off.
