Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
Honestly this is pretty cool.  It comes with a questline, has a decent bonus & once you’ve finished the questline you get to blow up buildings (Kwik-E-Mart, Brown House & Quick & Fresh only) temporarily.  It’s one of the cooler decorations in the game.  Yes it’s a little overpriced but it’s still pretty cool.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ll most likely be picking this one up.    However, remember this is limited-time.  So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you do so before the event ends.

Here’s a look at the short questline it comes with…

Police Tank Pt. 1
Wiggum starts

Wiggum: With this tank, Springfield’s police equipment is now on par with the rest of the country. The country of Kazakhstan!
Eddie: You think this tank will help in the war on crime?
Wiggum: I think we’ll see immediate effects after we record and air a kick-* tank commercial!
Eddie:
Nice one, Chief. This should put the fear of death into criminals.
Lou:
And everyone else for that matter.
Reach Level 17 and Build the Police Station
Make Wiggum Record a Tank Commercial- 4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp

Police Tank Pt. 2
Wiggum starts

Snake: Yo coppers! Heads up! I’m about to rob the Kwik-E-Mart. Just try and stop me!
Wiggum: You’ve seen your last days of freedom Snake! Let’s get in the tank and stop that thief, boys!
Lou: But he’s running and the tank goes about two miles an hour? How’s that gonna work, Chief?
Wiggum: We’ll figure it out on the fly. This thing came with instructions, right?
Reach Level 19 and Build Springfield Penitentiary
Make Snake Rob the Kwik-E-Mart- 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp
Make Cops Try to Figure Out the Tank- x3. 6hrs, Earns $350, 90xp

Police Tank Pt. 3
Snake starts

Snake: Wow, I am literally going to totally rob this place again, and again. There’s nothing you can do about it!
Lou: Come on Chief, permission to apprehend suspect on foot.
Wiggum: Permission denied! I know how to work this thing now! It’s time to take out the trash.
Apu: Wait! He’s in my store, what are you doing with that tank?
Lou: I don’t think he’s too clear on that.
Build the Kwik-E-Mart
Make Wiggum Fire the Tank-
4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp
Wiggum: With this tank, no one will ever say the Chief of Police is impotent ever again!
Lou: Don’t you mean incompetent?
Wiggum: I know what I said, Lou!

Police Tank Pt. 4
Snake starts

Snake: Whoa! You guys are insane! I’m outta here!
Wiggum:
Mission accomplished!
Apu:
Holy Shiva! You wrecked my store! I suppose I should thank you for not shooting me!
Wiggum:
And you’re very welcome, but it’s all in a day’s work my friend.
Jay:
Uggh, I wanted my business to blow up, but not like this!
Make Snake Enjoy his Kwik-E-Mart Cash- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp

And here’s how the wrecked buildings look…

  1. Well I may be lucky or something because after I blew up the kwike mart I got out of game came back in and it was still in rubble so maybe it’s a time thing. Also if you switch from skins it will revert back. So I assume it’s time or just switch back with the skins you have.

  2. I am a freemium player; and with 200 bonuts I’ve got during this event I bought Ling Bouvier. Just like Alissa said, bought it because I want it. Then with bonuts left, I bought the Pet Shop as I would like to give long waited 4 hrs task for Stampy and 8 hrs task for the monkey. But then, dang! The update came, and I kinda miss this awesome legen-waitforit-darry police tank! Why don’t I hold the bonuts? The SF Pet Shop will be permanently in the game. Bah, hope they will release it in future. I don’t think I’ll manage to get the bonuts from the bonus round Act III, finding Maggie and Monorail task in time. 🙁

  3. I wish they update it so it can blow many more buildings !

  4. It’s been a donut day. I got some from Sideshow You, XP level up, bonus gift collecting soothers, visiting neighbours and I should finish with the rail yard today. I wish everyday was a donut day. Apart from the odd scratch card I play mostly freemium. 😃

    • I suggest buying a golden scratcher.
I’ve also had good luck. I got 3 for finding Maggie, then 3 for XP level, I’m hours away from finishing the monorail for the week and I bought a scratcher and jackpot 100 doughnuts!

      • You’ve been lucky…odds are quite against that. I’ve never hit the jackpot, but, then again, I’ve only bought a few of those (certainly fewer than 10).

        • I buy about one a day

          • In terms of donuts for dollars, you’d be way better off buying a truckload or a boatload than buying a daily Golden Scratch-R. But, if you don’t care about getting the best return and do it just because it’s fun, then that’s a different story.

            • For fun. I find I usually have really good luck so maybe I’m losing a few bucks but whatever. I’m sitting on over 400 right now and that’s after buying everything in the winter event. So even if level 60 hits this week I should have enough to grab it all.

        • I’ve had 100 donut jackpot on golden scratcher a couple of times in the last 6 months
(in England it’s 79p that’s the price of a bar of chocolate, and I don’t buy chocolate so it’s justified)
Everybody has that much change down the back of their car seat
          💷 💵 🍩 🍩 💲 💰 💳 💷 🎈 🐻 🙂

      • 100 donuts. That is lucky. I just bought one and got 6. Better than nothing anyway. I also found Maggie last night. However I think my luck has run out because just now I couldn’t find her in time.

  5. The frist time I saw it in the store,I bought it right away it is really worth the 60 donuts!

  6. Dagnabit! I’ve got 49 cake rings. I was on the fence on this one until I read your review. I’m sure it will return again one day….:(

  7. Does the tank move? Or shoot the buildings from across town? I’m curios how it destroys the buildings.

  8. Wiggum just looks so happy sitting in his tank. There’s nothing about this that doesn’t make me smile.

    • So does that mean that the tank gives Wiggum a premium task?

I’m having trouble picturing how this object works….does it move around town on its own? How do you destroy a building?

(Happy to have anyone answer these questions…doesn’t have to just be Codex, even though I posted this as a reply to Codex’s comment.)

      • Wiggum has a permanent 4-hour premium task: “Fire the Tank,” which pays out 260 cash and 70 XP. The animation is hilarious.

The tank just sits there, and when you tap it, the hull-mounted gun fires, and the screen pans quickly to one of three buildings, which then explodes and starts smoking. For me, they stay destroyed until I tap on them or leave town and come back; I’ve never seen one spontaneously repair itself…but then I haven’t sat around and waited a long time to see, either.

I’d say it’s a pretty decent use of 60 donuts.

      • Oh, and you can’t blow up buildings while Wiggum is doing his task.

      • yes, Wiggum has a 4 hour premium tank “Fire the Tank.” It blows up a building at the end. You can also just tap on the empty tank to pan to one of the three buildings and watch it be hit.

Frankly, I play this game to have fun. Blowing stuff up is fun.

It only blows up my “main” brown house though, I can’t just level them all in a fit of destruction.

        • Codex said, “Blowing stuff up is fun” …….
That attitude is causing most of the news on TV 🐻 🙂

      • That’s weird, looks like my previous comment didn’t make it. To answer you questions:

It gives Wiggum a 4-hour premium (yes, premium) task. It just sits there, it doesn’t move. When you tap on it, the hull-mounted gun fires, and the screen pans quickly to the building getting blown up (complete with shaking,) which then sits and smolders until you tap on it or leave town and return (I’ve never had one spontaneously repair itself.) They still collect income while destroyed.

        • I wish I’d waited for these comments before buying. I was picturing the tank mobile and able to blow up any of my Brown houses. I like Wiggum’s animation and it’s nice it’s premium but I have the buyer’s remorse on this one.

  9. Does it need to recharge? or can you keep demolishing brown house after brown house?
and is there a xp reward for each post-questline demolition?

  10. DaEnderAssassin

Had 66 donuts and just thought it looks cool blows stuff up and comes with a quest line so just bought it. It did stuff up the much Apu quest when wiggum says the police have their eyes on a tank. I call it the Top Gear Police Department Tank of Righteousness from Top Gear. 🙂

  11. The Brown House was wrecked in the similar manner that Superheroes 2015 Event was after the “Death of Radioactive Man” Cutscene 🙂

  12. I seem to be one of the few people to not be just super excited about this thing. If it were free, I would try to find a place for it, but I probably wouldn’t spend *fifteen* precious pastries on a police tank, let alone sixty. They already have a blimp, and it was hard enough to fit that into my town. I would have no idea where to put a tank. (Unless, by some miracle, it can go on roads?)
    Anyway. Meh.

  13. I finally got a peak at the tank in a neighbor’s town. It didn’t seem to blow up any buildings for me, even though I located a brown house and a kwik-e-mart. I tapped dozens of times.

I was hoping to see the animation (I see the pics in the post, appreciate getting that glimpse).

  14. Yes I got it because I’m a sucker for any road vehicles but have been busy so haven’t done the quest yet
    🎈 🐻 🍩 🙂

  15. so which would you choose

tank + quick and fresh+ blocko (120 donuts) or rubber baby (120 donuts)

I’m still undecided to go for a single item or go for the 3.

    • I would take the 3 items. More design fun

    • i’ve got them all, and i would probably go for the 3 over the one. i’m a sucker for classic characters like the babysitter bandit, but honestly i can’t say i was super thrilled with her or the building she comes with. on the other hand, two cool buildings (especially the blocko) and a unique vehicle with a unique feature (and decent bonus multiplier) sounds like a pretty good deal for 120 donuts.

    • I personally love having the characters over the buildings, but I did struggle with this exact thought, however I ended up getting Rubber Baby, had only a few quests, didn’t get much out of it other than a character, although she does help collect pacifiers… Knowing what I know I would still purchase it…
      Finger411

    • More like 3 versus 2, since rubber baby comes with Lucille. 2 buildings and a decoration versus a building and a character. No, I can’t make up your mind for you, but does any of that help?

    • I think it depends on whatever you feel the most for. Do you prefer the newer Simpsons stuff for the old stuff? The Baby Sitter Bandit is a stone cold classic, while your other choices gets to celebrate your favorite town by blowing up a small part of it. Either option is a win-win if you are willing to spend the donuts. Me personally, I got the Baby Sitter Bandit, even though I wasn’t going to spend the money on donuts. I had enough for the Quick & Fresh as well, but that tank is awesome and I’m bumme I don’t get that as well.

What does your heart tell you?

    • Thanks guys for your input. Im still struggling for a decision. I just hope that whatever I dont pick will return again like the blocko

    • I’d definitely go with the 3 items if I had to choose. (I have all four items.) Blocko is visually fun and Chalmers has a 2 hour task there. The tank seems good because it’s unique and its action is totally unique in TSTO, and iirc Jay has a premium task at Quick & Fresh (in addition to how cool it looks blown up.)

I got Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers and really like its size and look, but it mostly just sits there.

    • I forgot to say that the babysitter bandit is great to help collect pacifiers for this event, but overall I’m not crazy about her; and even though her outdoor tasks are amusing, she’s kinda creepy (and not in a good way.)

  16. Will the ability to destroy certain buildings (kwik-e-mart, brown house etc) be around after the short quest line.. Or is the destruction component only possible during the questline?

  17. With 103 doughnuts, I think I’ll pass I wanna get a charter. 🙂

  18. Yeahhhh…one of those instances where I read “get to blow stuff up” in another forum post so I purchased instantly before the SiB. *sigh* 3 buildings is decent enough, if only I was planning on buying the third building.

  19. I bought it and I think it’s pretty cool! But I do agree it’s a little bit pricey for what it does…

  20. Will it destroy buildings after the questline? (I apologize if this is addressed in the post….I read the top part, but skipped over the actual questline stuff, because I didn’t want to be “spoiled,” in case I decide to get it (which I’m leaning against, but…).

  21. I bought a golden scratcher to get this tank, and I LOVE IT!!! I can not wait to blow up buildings! }:-)

  22. I just finished the questline but then stored Apu to move along that new kid’s questline so I missed the animation on the Kwik-E-Mart while replacing it.

  23. is it possible to keep the buildings destroyed? Like if I never finish the quest line?

  24. Got it because I thought blowing up buildings would be fun. Would be better/worth the donuts if we were to blow up other buildings besides the given three. 🙂

  25. I have it and love it.
I’m a sucker with tanks and weapons. 😛

  26. I grabbed it with all bonuts, just the kind of reward I like – changing all that tapping in the weekly railyard tasks and event bonuts into a permanent multiplier bonus. The questline is really fun too.

  27. I bought the tank straight away. The bumbling idiot, which Quincy is, is always time for a good laugh 😅

  28. blackgypsyrose13

I grabbed this one as soon as I saw it. Decent bonus and a awesome decoration, the ability to blow up buildings is also a great bonus. I don’t regret wiping at my donut stash for it.

  29. Tanks for the memories EA. 🙂 I just had to get this.
