Where Did THAT Come From – Lucille Botzcowski

Woo hoo! The MAGGIE ACT!!!!

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

It’s still snow time like the present to be playing an event in TSTO and we keep getting more and more amazing stuff. You know what that means… it’s time again for me to dip into my noggin of Simpsons info and write about specific stuff. For this post I will be going over one of the premium items from Act III of the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event for 120 Donuts… Babysitter Bandit (Lucille Botzcowski) with Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers. I got to say… this was one character I didn’t think would get pulled over to TSTO but I am so ecstatic that she did. Of course it was via the premium alley but I immediately snatched up Lucille. A) She is from a great episode but B) even her rendering within the game harkens me back to the OG days of the Best. Show. Ever. I love watching her strut around town and her coming with Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers Babysitting Service only sweetened the deal. Good form EA… good form. Of course, I know everyone hasn’t seen every episode of The Simpsons and there are those who stray from the beginning seasons of the series for one reason or another. I’m more than happy to re-watch stuff and post pictures so here I go.

“Some Enchanted Evening” (S1:E13)

Marge is feeling unappreciated by Homer and misses the days when they were dating and Homer was more attentive. Marge deserves to be a hot love object. Marge awaits Homer’s arrival from work after the obligatory stop at Moe’s and flower buying to tell Pedro, I mean Homer, she deserves attention but Homie already has a plan to make sure Marge doesn’t leave him. A super romantic evening at the Chez Paris. Of course, a date night means they need a babysitter. Marge calls the Rubber Baby Buggy Bumper Babysitting Service but they have the Simpson kids blacklisted. Nothing making a reservation under Sampson can’t fix.

Miss Botz arrives with suitcases to watch the kiddos while Marge and Homer go to dinner and a romantic night in a hotel.

She puts in the Happy Little Elves video Marge suggested the kids watch and demands they watch it under threat of hurting them. Bart changes the TV to America’s Most Armed and Dangerous and they learn about the Babysitting Bandit. She ties up children and robs houses. Lucille Botscowski (Bot-sue-cow-ski) has had a crime spree across the continental U.S. and is Bart and Lisa’s babysitter.

“Time to brush you teeth and wash your face and SAY YOUR PRAYERS.” Bart and Lisa try to hide from Miss Botz and call the authorities but she catches them and ties them up.

Of course she forgot precious Maggie who wakes up but loves watching the Happy Little Elves on TV. Thankfully the tape ends and Lisa convinces her to untie them so it can be played again. Lisa and Bart manage to capture Lucille.

Marge becomes worried when the kids don’t answer the phone. They go home to find her tied up. Thinking it is just the usual shenanigans of their children, they let her go not knowing that the police are on the way.

Lucille Botzcowski remains at large in the show and we know this because of a Kent Brockman report in “Bart’s Dog Gets an F” (S2:E16) about the ongoing manhunt/womanhunt.

In “Stark Raving Dad” (S3:E1), one of my favorite episodes from when I was a kiddo but what M.J. loving boy or girl didn’t love this one, my buddy Eric claims Lucille is among the townsfolk anxiously awaiting Michael Jackson’s arrival at the Simpson home. Simpler times. This could be her but I’m not completely convinced.

Pictures of Mrs. Botz often appear in the show. One of these instances is in “Homer the Vigilante” (S5:E11). We see her picture right next to Fat Tony on the bulletin board of the Springfield Police Station.  A true appearance by her is in “Hurricane Neddy” (S8:E8) at Calmwood Mental Hospital. My guess is she never recovered mentally from her exposure to the Happy Little Elves.

The last one to point out is not Simpsons canon, but in “The Simpsons Guy” aka the FG crossover episode, when Homer and Peter throw a free car wash for stolen cars, Lucille was one of the criminals who showed up for it. I showed you a picture to spare you from what is possibly the worst cartoon team-up scene imaginable. My eyes still have “sexy” Homer burned into them.

And that’s that friends. What do you think of the Babysitter Bandit appearing in TSTO? Did you purchase her? Sound off with your thoughts and ideas. Hope the Maggie Act is as good for you as it has been for me.

  1. I have just re-watched that episode, and I noticed some differences:
Moe had black hair in this episode, and he initially wasn’t voiced by Hank Azaria, and that’s why he appears as a guest star in that episode.
Barney is had blond hair, which is quickly changed to brown as of Season 2 and onwards.

  2. I’m saving all my donuts for Barney. She’s way down the list.

  3. “Some Enchanted Evening” was the first Simpsons episode ever broadcast in Brazil. Didn’t realize it was actually the thirteenth. Go figure.

    • I heard it was supposed to be the first episode, but was delayed due to animation problems.

      • Correct. When the completed episode returned from an animation studio in South Korea, the quality was abysmal – sloppy animation, ugly coloring effects, nowhere near the producers’ intended vision for the show. They instead premiered with the Christmas episode, and spent the duration of the first season re-animating nearly the entirety of Some Enchanted Evening. You can find some screenshots of the original South Korean product online for comparison. Really was an eyesore.

  4. This was my favorite WDTCF I’ve ever read.

  5. Recently I had a dream I was showing Penny Marshall TSTO and Her character “the babysitter bandit” in the game, but went I went to the loading/splash screen it had an Simpsons Anime event and I freaked out saying “A new event already but Act three wasn’t even finished!” , I got so excited that I had no time to show her the character, I had more important tapping to do. I woke up shortly after.

Anyway, I was hoping her brother (Penny Marshall’s brother), who voice Larry Kidkill would appear with a zoo (instead of the exotic petting zoo). Anyway. good stuff Wookie 🙂

  6. I picked her up right away! No regrets!

  7. Wookie, with “Sexy” Homer, Does it feel like He’s Wearing Nothing At all, Nothing At All, Nothing At All?

    • If you’ve seen the carwash scene with Peter, it’s one of those things that can’t be unseen. Only reason it doesn’t completely horrify me is that “The Simpsons Guy” was done by the FG animators. Shouldn’t have surprised and shocked me. Of course, it’s also just like a train wreck where you can’t look away.
