Deep Space Homer and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Space Tappers!

It’s Blast Off time in Springfield, as the Deep Space Homer mini event has invaded our games for the last week plus.  With several new items hitting our games, as well as a few returning back to Springfield.   With all of the new items  added to Tapped Out I thought now would be a good time to take a look at how all of these items impact the Conform-O-Meter ratings (especially since this might help you decide what to keep out & what to put into storage).

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Deep Space event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring us a ton of new items to add to our Springfield.  Let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

New Stuff…

Item Cost Category Points
Rocket Launch Pad Free Vanity 100
NARA Training Center Prize N/A N/A
Space Hanger Prize N/A N/A
Space Shuttle Simulator 120/75 Donuts Vanity 100

Drive-In Theater 150 Donuts Consumerism 10

And there you have it…the conform-o-meter impact for stuff that’s Out of this World….

How’s your Conform-O-Meter doing?  Any items your surprised about?  Any items you’ll put away because of what they impact?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I can’t find any mention of this anywhere, and seeing as there’s little time left, I thought I’d mention it.

You get 5 free donuts… that’s FIVE FREE DONUTS… when you give Marge, Bart, and Lisa the 6 hr task to Gather Space Food.

  2. I need new friends 🙁 my old ones don’t play anymore

  3. Sorry off topic but is maggie available now winter is over?

  4. I don’t know if this has been mentioned anywhere but you can win donuts from the debris you earn with the rocket ship. I just got a donut from one I cleaned up. So now this makes me hope for the debris.

  5. is the server down?

  6. I have poor Akira slaving away 24/7 making Bonzai plants, yet I never break 4 1/2 tree hugging stars. 🙁

  7. I am missing 4 to 5 sets of debris. I was not awarded even though the game has given me after the 12 hrs launch. But I noted an update where suddenly it says my launching pad upgraded? Not sure what is happening but I got one more set of new debris. I also suddenly found myself having another launching pad but no rocket.

  8. I’m glad I got the second launch pad. 100 free vanity points.

  9. I would guess we’re going to see a repeat of some items related to Abraham Lincoln soon, or perhaps related to Valentine’s day. I’m hoarding my donuts until February. If nothing drops by then, I’ll probably grab Jasper because I have two outfits for Jasper waiting to get him (Baseball and Number 5).

  10. I think yesterday’s update may have fixed the rocket launch glitch. I can store and relaunch but I have 20 failed attempts in a row. That would statistically be incredibly bad luck.

Yep! I failed, stored, failed, stored…. Until I grew weary. So much for a “legal” ‘hack/ cheat’.

    • I tried the failed, store, failed, store trick today too with no luck. At least 30 attempts. The good news is that they gave me my space debris from and two ‘Hail Ants’ signs owed me from previous successful launches. They still owe me 12 pieces of space debris, but I doubt I’ll ever see it.

  11. Do guys think that there will be a gil deal this month?

  12. Every time I try to send the rocket to space, it catches fire and sits there longer. Anyone else noticing this? What gives?

  13. Do they ever release stuff (new levels or events) during the weekend? I have a 20-hour task I need to send Homer’s on for Barney’s questline, and I’m thinking of doing that as soon as he’s done helping with the Rail Yard tasks for the week, which should be later today or tonight.

    • Not brand new content. They’ll have a second part of an event launch over the weekend, but nothing new.

    • If something drops you can always store the bowling alley and kick Homer out…

      • True enough! My mind temporarily glitched (brains are a lot like TSTO), and all I could focus on was that I couldn’t store the Simpsons house to free Homer, should I need him.

I blame it on the lack of sleep I got last night…looking forward to making up for it tonight?

  14. My conform-o-meter is up to 145.15%, which nets a nice daily income. I am not a freemium player however.

  15. So…I did something I’ve never done today…I bought 300 donuts for $28. I’ve only ever bought scratchers and now I feel dirty 😝 But I did get Barney and have 243 donuts for Valentines and whatever else is next. I still feel dirty though…

  16. If you’re on the fence about the drive in. Get it!

      Original “should-i-spend-donuts” for drive-in:

Here is my conundrum – I have enough donuts to spend on this limited time item, which may or may not return. Or,
I can buy Jasper or Disco Stu,
both of which are on the Addict’s “Top 10” list and both of which help in Springfield Heights.
I’m leaning hard toward Jasper or Stu, but I can’t make the coin toss decision between the two of them. (Upon consideration, the drive in loses the toss). Both are equal. But I think it is Stu who helps in Yoga Mats which appears to be the “stumbling block” in S.H., and thus I’m inclined to purchase him.
      Thoughts?

      • Well, for me, limited-time items usually win the coin toss (especially since there’s no deadline for getting the Springfield Heights stuff “done”). But, if the drive-in has already lost the coin toss, then I’d definitely go for Disco Stu over Jasper, in terms of Springfield Heights helpfulness. I’ve been kicking myself for not getting him when he was on sale on that Gil’s Deal “event” a couple of months ago.

        go for Stu !

      • a few things…

        – if i really like it, i will always go for the limited time item first (the way ea is throwing donuts at us these days, it shouldn’t take nearly as long as it did prior to 2015 to rack up donuts).
        – if you have krustylu studios already, the space mutant has a questline with it that will give you 10 donuts.
        – SH is still gonna be a major grind, whether you have stu and jasper or not, so i personally wouldn’t make that the determining factor for deciding on a premium purchase. i’m at 1.37bil, and i don’t own either character.
        – the top 10 was done at the very beginning of 2014, so it may or may not be up-to-date…
