Hey hey hey tappereenos!
So one of the things I do on occasion here is point out some speculatory ideas based on dialogue bubbles in the game. I did it back during Level 42 and also from bits prior to January 2015. Interestingly, quite a bit actually appeared later in the game whether you consider it coincidence or not.
Dame Judith Underdunk, Helen Lovejoy, Lindsey Naegle, Cookie Kwan, and even the Ajax Steel Mill are all things we speculated on that now grace our games. Sure there was more we didn’t get but I find it all interesting. Of course, the entire enterprise of speculating from dialogue began when EA teased this bit.
We ended up getting all this stuff over time and the rest is history. Tappers started looking for clues wherever they could find them, myself included. In the spirit of this, I like to see potential in the most random bits of dialogue from levels and events. Here’s some potential spoilers that may or may not have anything to do with future stuff.
First up… characters. Could Agent Johnson make an appearance beyond some dialogue bubbles?
Tapball offered Furious D as a premium option but what sparked my imagination was this little snippet by Wiggum. I want a pony!
We saw several supervillains during the 2015 Superhero Event in dialogue. Petroleus Rex was a member of the Fossil Fuel Four. Dr. Vladimir Krabokov threatened a return too. I’d be down with more superhero action for 2016.
Akira had some ideas for characters when he became available.
Well Cookie made an appearance already… interesting. We also got the Leftorium Express so could Nasrine be on the way or was she just a callback to the origin?
Grampa’s brother Cyrus already stayed in the Buckingham Pay-Less Motel for the holidays. Christmas 2014 brought the island he was stranded on with Grampa. Will he appear as a full-fledged character?
This last one is a skin I really want.
Maybe when EA brings the octuplets there will be some mention of Apu and Manjula’s nuptials and the arrival of Homer as Ganesh from “The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons” (S9:E7)? Even Apu’s mom could find her way into the game but I’m hoping not as Manjula surely nags him enough.
I think of all the characters I saw… this next one is a spolier I have expected for a long time.
It is a fun joke for Ol’ Gil to never win even in TSTO though. All in all, I like that the designers have pulled some characters into dialogue bubbles instead of feeling like they have to create new characters but some of these could be a lot of fun. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few this year.
But we’re not done. Cookiee Kwan mentioned a few building ideas in Springfield Heights.
Even Mrs. K mentioned Krustyland. She could be talking about the Tooth Chipper or something else entirely.
Bart and Homer had a little interesting quickie of a conversation this holiday season. Do any of these sound good to you?
I’d love to see the Fire Department. Way back in the day, as in 2013, Alissa even speculated on this. Why not bring the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department into the mix? I’d love to see the Fire Truck too.
I know a certain tapper who really hopes EA ties in this year’s Chinese zodiac into an event. Keep your eyes peeled for a fun post later. Maggie agrees.
I think I’m just hoping EA plans on adding a new visual task for one Homer Jay Simpson from “Homer the Vigilante” (S5:E11). It’s the same episode that the Miniature Nuclear Warhead in our game comes from.
The last speculatory bit that really has me intrigued is from Frink during Deep Space Homer.
TSTO Night Time has been something tappers have discussed for a long time. The Sun Blocker appeared in the Springfield Dump and I wonder if EA has plans for something big in the future?
Heck, Maggie is in the game now so could we see a Who Shot Mr. Burns event? The sun blocker could be a fun way to switch from day to night in the game. So many possibilities. Of course… if I went by everything I ever saw in my game and made a prognostication based on it, we could even be getting a Canadian invasion so take all these ideas with an appropriate grain of salt.
Watch out Wolfcastle… the Canucks are coming! If we’re to believe Gina Vendetti, there are plenty more levels ahead of us for any of this stuff (minus the Canada glitch) to appear in our games.

I didn’t play during the Stonecutters event so another one of those would be fun and another Clash of Clans type event as well. PLEASE give us the fire hall… They could make an event out of it too with having to put fires out. A clown or circus event would be fun. They could give a big circus tent and we could tap clowns, tigers, and monkeys or something. It would be cool if you didn’t need to travel to Krustyland but it was next to the town like Springfield Heights but that may take too much data or ram or space… I’m not computer literate but you know what I mean. What about some Shelbieville characters? Maybe a big chilli cook off event or a camp event with the kids? Thats all I’ve got for now.

Yes, that’s been one that I’ve been hoping to see as well.
I would love Gil, Lionel Hutz and Mrs. Glick. But we need dirt roads! Sand squares and various other squares, maybe cobblestone, i.e the cobblestone district. Maybe Itchy and Scratchy playable (probably already said by someone, sorry if that’s the case) More land up the mountain range, and more decoration options, more greenery. Maybe a big ticket item like the Duff Indy car way back when. Maybe a movie event, TOM HANKS! VOICED!

Let’s face it. EA has dozens and dozens of characters to choose from to introduce into the game, both major and minor. Admittedly, now that Maggie has been released, most of the truly major characters have already been introduced. But with 27 seasons of the show to choose from, there are plenty of characters still out there. I’d like to see some of the early season characters, because those early years are the most memorable for me (being an “older” guy). It seems strange to me that there are a lot of people out there playing the game that weren’t even born yet when the Simpsons first started. Not to mention the Tracy Ullman years.
OK. The character I’d most like to see is Lionel Hutz. I wish EA would get permission to use any of the Phil Hartman characters. If not him, then Jacques, the bowling instructor.
OK. One more. Sarah Wiggum. Poor Ralphie needs his mom so that maybe he won’t eat so many crayons.
I just thought of another character that has been on the show since the very beginning……Wendell Borton. The kid who vomits all of the time. This is an obvious choice to me. He could have at least one gross but funny outdoor task. Blech! 🙂
OK, OK. One more. Arthur Crandall and Gabbo. These characters were from one of the Best. Shows. Ever!

if they can have something that turns nightime on and off I don’t see why they can’t add weather effects as a switch too….we already got the Xmas lights switch….I don’t see why other switches haven’t been made. Nighttime would be nice in a lot of ways, would be easier on the eyes thats for sure, but it’d add a lot of other effects, it’d add lights inside houses glow possibly, and the trashcan fires would be actually worth seeing more often. Even though I’ve permanently added them to my “poor town” I created in the south east part of my town. Ya, a who shot mr burns could be a fun event especially now we got Maggie…..those other stuff ehh….and I usually don’t speculate unless ea gives us clues, and they rarely do. I rather “hope” they add stuff….I mean eventually they probably will have everything right? I would hope so. And I still want actual “hill” tops or hills you can place together to actually make hills you can place stuff upon so we don’t have to use 1000’s of hedges all the time lol
Some items we have already give the effect of a hill if you place them close enough to a road or another building. The Golf Course, also the Ziff Wolfcastle and Burns Mansions Maybe others but those are the first to come to mind.
I have the humblest of requests: that stop signs can be placed on sidewalks, like parking meters are.
You forgot one “speculative piece”. Level 50’s message shows Lee Travino (I think). Seeing how we got everyone else he must be in the files somewhere.
I would be happier now if the find maggie game worked properly. Two days in a row I find her and spend at least half a minute tapping anywhere on her, around her, near her but to no avail. Time goes up and no Maggie…

I’ve been tapping on the door to the building. Seems to work every time. Maybe the game thinks I’m going in to fetch Maggie from the roof….

Well they did give us an ice version of the Simpsons sitting on their couch during the winter event! But a “real” couch would be odd, since we don’t have any interiors in this game.

I would really like a “Future”-Event with all the grown up versionen of the Simpsons family and their friends. Always looked for clues for this event but havn’t found any up till now. But hey we have Maggie now, so future Maggie would be possible as well =)
I’d say time travel event so you could go into the past too. Homer with hair! Have a job to make high school Marge burn her bra. And possibly the cutest image in the show Toddler Lisa.

Superheroes was my favorite event last year, I’d love to see a second act. Maybe start it with Clobber girl so we have another character to get in on the action
I’d actually like to see EA go one step beyond the Sun Blocker and put in a full weather machine so we had the option of Day, Night, Winter, etc. I love the look of snow in Springfield, it sucks that we only get that tileset for a single month.

EA likes to use homer to start/run events because he’s unlocked so early that it doesn’t really stop anyone from playing. I just suggested Lisa because she’s unlocked about the same time, and she’s really under-used compared to homer.
Still would like to see Crimson Cockatoo as a possible skin during the event.
I would like to see all of the water featured somehow. There are several episodes which make use of the water. “Cape Feare” to name one. Sideshow Bob could hold the Simpsons hostage on a boat, on the water. Grandpa could jet ski back and forth from an island to mainland.
I would like to be able to put my jet skis and boats on any body of water throughout my town. Someone should be able to at least swim for a task.
Also, we definitely need to have a Futurama tie in.
If you played the Terwilligers event, you got the option to craft the Thompson’s houseboat (which I had to have for obvious reasons).
Only problem with that, we barely have enough water area to begin with, so if they keep giving us more stuff to put in water people will be crying for more water to be unlocked. Personally I’d like more water already anyway, if it went outward instead of along the coast, two strips of water just isn’t wide enough for some ideas.
I think the sun blocker/Who Shot Mr. Burns event would be wonderful!

I’d love to see another superhero event since that was my favorite of the ones they done since I started playing.
I echo that sentiment. They have barely scratched the surface of what they could do with it. There is a ton of material they could reference from the Radioactive Man comic books, including Gloria Grand, Glowy, and the Superior Squad (Plasmo The Mystic would be awesome)
I would love to have more options for “roads”. Would be nice to have a dirt road option or even a stone road option to make decorating a little nicer than just a regular road and pavement options.

Because EA just has that sense of twisted humor, I imagine we’ll get a big splash of DevilFlanders (or hell things) for level 66.
I would like day/night so we could have displays of streetlights, neon signs etc. My only worry would be that I’ve played games where they had day & night but the programming didn’t allow for people playing in different time zones. Playing from the UK, it was pretty much always night in my game.
I thought about it because I would love too a day/night cycle. They could add a switch, like the one for the festive building skins, so we could choose between day and night at any time. It could even be part of an event – a battle for the control of the switch.

I really would like to see Gil in the game permanently, although I think it probably won’t happen. The “running joke” of Gil only showing up when he’s got something to sell is kind of like TSTO’s version of a couch gag.
I really hope they have a “spring cleaning” sale again this year like I think they did 1-2 years ago. I missed out on the Steel Mill and would really like a chance to be able to purchase those again.
I don’t know. Gil is such a jack of all trades that it wouldn’t be strange at all for him to just pop up with his special offers, etc. You’d just think that was his latest attempt at making a few bucks. It could totally work.
