  1. How do I unlock the other 2 bonus options? I’ve only been able to access the first bonus box since I’ve had this thing going

  2. I love the fact that donuts are more accessible. The rail yard is nice but it takes way too much work. Maggie’s game is awesome I just wish that with lottery gift ticket would allow you to pay for the other two prizes with cash equaling five donuts.

  3. I love it! More donuts on average compared to the previous daily play 5th day mystery box hoping it pays out donuts. Also, you aren’t punished if life happens and you don’t log in for a day because you can get up to three daily tasks queued and still play catch up.
Between this, donuts from Maggie every 2-3 days, and 5 donuts from the rail yard each week I feel like as a freemium player, I have more opportunities at the premium items that I really want. I’ve played practically from day one and I remember when it could take a year to earn enough donuts for 1 coveted premium item. I’d buy lesser limited time items simply because I felt I’d never get enough for anything better. I almost quit playing at one point. It’s a lot more fun as a freemium player now and still plenty of things I miss out on that premium players will get, so that the game stays lucrative for the designers, but not so bad that I miss out on basically everything offered like in the past.

  4. I haven’t had any tasks since completing this challenge. Anyone else?

  5. Tracy - 1ltwoody920

Not a Daily Challenge, but a Space Ship reward.
Lots of launch pad explosions, lots of debris, several Hail Ants, BUT
one each of Kodos and Kang Topiary. Free!

  6. Ok. So I noticed ( by trial and error :-()
that If you have a Daily Bonus for a Krustyland mission and you hit the “go to” button, that sends you to the Krustyland bus, that THEN sends you directly to your mission in Krustyland, YOU MUST hit the Daily mission icon in the upper right corner AGAIN to activate the mission, or it will not count it.

    • Update: Correction. It still doesn’t work. the daily Challenge is “Play Sideshow You in Krustyland” 0/2. It has to be done twice. I have done it twice, and it still will not register. I would rather not “skip” this one, its worth 6 DONUTS!!! 🙁

  7. Two thumbs up for this little change from this little happy tapper!

On a related note, I have a theory as to what EA’s current strategy is and why they’re giving us so many more ways to earn donuts now…

They want people to be able to get the older premium items (especially characters) more easily so that more players will have the “basic” characters that EA wants to use for events. So, by giving folks the opportunity to earn more donuts more easily, even hard-core freemium players and newer players will be able to “catch up” somewhat on those less expensive older characters. (This would also explain why they just sold Barney so cheaply!)

To make up for the revenue loss to do that, I think that new premium items will be (already are) more expensive than premium items used to be.

So, basically, EA’s trying to find ways to make the game fun and accessible to both newer and older players alike.

(It’s kind of the same strategy as when they sell older freemium buildings more cheaply as new levels are introduced. If they didn’t do that, it would be very hard for newer players to reach the top level in a reasonable amount of time. I mean, when I was a newbie, I think the top level was maybe something in the 30s (just a guess based on a vague possible memory) and it probably took me maybe, I dunno, 4 or 5 months to reach top level? (I really have no recollection.) With 59 levels now (and the cost of new buildings at the higher levels being very high), it could take a new person over a year to reach the top (of course, new levels would keep being released during that year, too) if they didn’t make the earlier levels go more quickly, and I don’t know whether players would have that level of patience. (Plus, it’s a lot harder to play events if you’re also working to level up, too, and if you don’t have some of the characters you earn as you level up.)

At any rate, I’ve given this some thought (and way too many words here…sorry, once again!), and I really think I’ve sussed out (did I spell that right, my UK friends?) their strategy and I wish I knew a developer at EA so I could validate it.

Okay, back to eating my dinner now…

    • An interesting theory, but nope, the game is ending…tomorrow afternoon around 3 in the afternoon. 😉

    • You have an interesting theory, and I would like to add to it. The last new level (level 59) was released in October. Yes? That’s a really long time compared to the historical average for this game. I think EA is definitely making it easier for newer payers to catch up. Otherwise they would have released level 60 months ago.

  8. Ok. I realize the new Daily Bonus is “new”, so I suppose they will be working bugs out. So, I did the next Daily Challenge, “Go to KrustyLand and play Sideshow” x 2. I have done it once, and the action DID NOT register with the Daily Bonus. It STILL says I have to do two. Has anyone else reported or had this problem?

    • Similar, my task was “collect krusty land tickets” it did not register. So I dismissed the task to get a new one. But now I have an idea, wait until you get to krusty land then click On the task. (top right corner where the new task box is) then then click on the krusty land task. It might be a krusty land glitch that doesn’t register for some reason. Poor krusty land 🙁

    • I only had a task to collect 40 KL tickets, but that went without a glitch.

  9. So, do we know yet exactly how this works? I felt that it was a bit confusing because the starting questline seems to have assigned each of us 4 Challenges within the first “day.”

This mislead me into thinking that the bonus reward needed to be earned within 24 hours. But I think that is not the case.

If I’m understanding this correctly, you only receive anywhere from 1-3 Challenges daily (the reset timer is Midnight PST). The Bonus donut reward is for completing multiple challenges, but has NO deadline assigned to it. It’s just awarded for completing a group of Daily Challenges. Based on what I see in the other comments, the bonus would require anywhere from 2 to 15 days to earn. (2 days if you are assigned an average of 2.5 Challenges and your goal is 5 and 15 days if you are assigned only 1 Challenge daily and your goal is 15). It does seem that the bonus reward and requirement are also random, since we have reports of 3/6/10 donut rewards and requirements of 5/10/15 challenges and I know it’s not linear, because my second bonus is 6 donuts for 5 challenges.

Just trying to clarify this because from what I’m reading, I think many of us thought that the “Daily Challenge” applied to the Bonus.

  10. ANy idea when the Nararobics tasks are removed from the select player’s task lists? Or at least put in order so they’re not always at the top? It’s throwing me off when I send out all my 2hr folks…

  11. Wait? I’m confused by what’s going on? Is this a new thing? I got this yesterday afternoon, but I had a lot going on and didn’t focus too good on it.

  12. When completing a challenge (Collect 5 Smartphones) and then tapping the challenge icon in the upper right corner, the app crashes to the iOS homescreen on my iPhone. Darn. 🙁

  13. I used to play ea theme park game then all of a sudden they dropped the price of everything and there was a sign when u logged in that theme park is closing in 30 days. Just happened out the blue. All these free donuts seems rather fishy. Or maybe I’m looking into things too much. Just saying!!!

    • I think it’s just EA’s way of listening to player feedback honestly. And it’s a way to get you some donuts..but not enough to buy what you really want. So it’s almost like their trying to tempt you to buy more…since these take a while to earn. For example the next challenge awards 6 donuts, but it takes 10 days to get them…
Plus they’re not dropping prices, if anything I think we’ll see prices increase.
But hey, let’s wait and see 🙂

      • I agree. I think anyone who’s bought just one or two things with donuts, realizes how much more they want, and once that “seal” is broken, it’s easier for most people to go premium. In my case, I’ve been gifted iTunes cards for my birthday and Christmas which tend to go mostly to Halloween/Christmas purchases. Purchases I never saw myself making, but I justify because it was gift money and well…..I loves me my premium stuff now! Mind you, it can be really hard to draw the line at what you should buy and leave – especially if you’re a completist type like me…..but pretty proud that I’m managing to do it.

        • I divide them between TSTO and music addicted t,o both you should see my cd collection was asked how long would it take for you o start at beginning OMG cd collection & play all way through. How the heck should I know? Would beh very long tome, now I just buy on iTunes so no knows how man,y I have on devices, plus so easy to just plug phone into car😏,
