Should I Spend Donuts on the Tailgate Party?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Gil has once again returned to Springfield…this time bringing a tailgate party to town!  All to celebrate the Big Game!  Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Tailgate Party to your Superbowl fun?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this party area to your festivities!
tailgate

Building/Decoration: Tailgate Party
Donut Price: 200 donuts
Size: 11×17
Bonus%: 4%
Conform-o-Meter:
Vanity +1500

Leaves Our Games on February 9th

Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Various animations at the tailgate, depending on level
-At the end you’ll unlock a task for Homer at the Tailgate

Cons:
-HUGE, takes up a ton of space in Springfield
-EXPENSIVE! 200 donuts is a TON for a decoration with no new characters (heck it’s a ton for a building/character combo)
-You’ll have to level it up, which is time consuming

Final Thought:
Premium:
I’m honestly not a big fan of this one.  It’s massive and really adds no great benefit to Springfield, other than a 4hr task for Homer once it’s fully upgraded. Yes it has a 4% bonus with it, but is that 4% worth the space?  Honestly it’s not worth the donuts in my opinion.

Freemium:
Stay away.  Stay far far away from this!  Do not spend your hard earned donuts on this.  It’s just not worth it.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I will not be picking this one up.    However, this IS a limited-time item.  So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games on the 9th.

  1. My tailgate wouldn’t upgrade past the 3rd level even after all the tasks say 4/4 done. Any tips? Thanks!

Hi-hi! I know this is an old post and might not be seen by anybody except by a moderator, but I have a question. I got the Tailgate a couple days ago in my endeavor to get Coach Pommelhorst in the Yard Sale Mystery Box located in the Flanders Reunion section.

Just a bit ago, while I was going to sit on my bed, I needed to switch my tablet to my other hand in order to move a wayward pillow and triggered a short dialog between Marge and Sanjay. I missed the whole 1st word bubble and in the 2nd word bubble only caught a words… “Disco Biscuit”

I’m assuming this 2 word bubble conversation is related to the Tailgate, as the only other things I got from the Yard Sale Mystery Box before the Coach was “Concert Hall with Wolfgang Amedeus Thrash H1-Bomb Mozart! “, and “Bookaccino’s”. Didn’t see this dialog for Bookaccino’s or Mozart/Concert Hall, so that leaves Tailgate. also makes sense since Sanjays’ been squaring there to level it up.

Please… Does anyone know what the dialog was. I am one of those anal players that reads them all, coz I JUST MUST KNOW! 😜

  3. I bought the tailgate and fully upgraded but now, all of a sudden, the tailgaters have disappeared. Is there a reason this happened?

    • I picked this up in the Yearbook, 30 doh nuts.
Absolute steal, it fits great with the stadium and reinforces my stereotypes of Yanks…perfect!!

      • So…just curious, how is this different than a gathering of football hooligans on your side of the pond? Oh…that’s right…because they aren’t setting fire to anything. LOL!

  4. I think it is great if you have the donuts. One of my favorite items yet.

  5. Would be cool if the foam finger squid monster just walked around within the scenery and took a beer cracked it open drank it looked if sky finger was looking and just walked off.

Lil stuff like that would be funny. Or yeah if the tap ball fans could go to other Springfields and do stuff like toilet paper their trees and stuff like that and when you’re neighbors clear them you get points for being rowdy. Those points can be stacked up for either cash or random prizes.

I mean honestly if they do stuff like this that involves people having mini events or long time stuff that stays like mini games like find Maggie for those who buy premium mini game things like this could be then more ppl would. It could be more worth it for us the fans. Also it would support the game a lot better.

Also I bought it just cause I thought it would look different from other stuff, as well as I like having a place where the tap ball fans can stay. Even if they can only be partying 24/7 in the lot.

  6. I have it and I fully upgraded it, but I noticed something strange the fans that are on it had wandered away and were standing around in different parts of my Springfield, is that supposed to happen

  7. This is one that I actually wish I could buy.

  8. Anyone else notice the vanity “Bort” license plate on one of the cars? Also, like Lee mentioned, this is one of the few items where they didn’t bother to fix the backwards mirror-image writing when you place it at a horizontal alignment. Potato chips, “Bort” and the Duff logo are all backwards.

  9. I bought it, it seemed like a fun little scene. So different from anything else you can buy. Plus, I love to have all the tap ball fans now, each with their own little animation when tapped on. And Dancing Homer is priceless! I am even thinking about expanding it, with more vehicles, maybe the Duff beer tree and Mindy and Brockman in their lawn chairs… OK, I am off now, redecorating 🙂

    • Thanks for pointing that out. I wouldn’t have thought to tap on the fans and they’re my favorite part. I was super disappointed they weren’t available after the event. Plus the squid monster from Halloween when tapped on has oversized foam #1 finger and it always reminded me of Tapball

      • That foam finger seemed odd at the time… I wonder if I can make that thing hang out at the party now. I know, not possible, but sometimes I wish you could ‘fence’ the NPCs.

  10. “You’ll have to level it up, which is time consuming”

While 99% of the time I get the “cons” … This is a waste of time game through and through. Visiting friends is time consuming too.

I bought up but it went great in my stadium tap ball area. I easily had the space though. The biggest space wasters? Billionaire heaven area… Luxury resort and Ned’s thing.

  11. Probably gonna pass. Really like how I think it’ll look outside my stadium, but… just so many donuts for so little. Tempting though.

  12. No way. Too big, too ugly, ridiculously expensive and I don’t care for American Football.
