It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. The Simpsons are back this week with an all new episode! Are you excited for the new episode? Valentine’s Day ended in Springfield earlier this week, did you manage to unlock Mona? And in it’s place we got some new “busy work” in TSTO…in the form of the Redwood Tree. What are your thoughts on the Redwood Tree? What do you think will be next in TSTO?
Baseball is back! As teams reported to Spring Training this past week…I know i’m excited!
Anyone else a child of the 80s and 90s? If you are, are you just as excited about Fuller House as I am? Seriously thinking about binge watching it on Friday! (yes I know I’m a nerd…have you not figured that out already? 😉 )
How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? Can you believe this is the last full week in February?

I finished the second week of Valentine’s Day quests. However, it’s not showing that I completed the task of having Willie make a love poison. I’ve had him make it several times and it still won’t show that it’s completed. I cannot get groundskeeper Wilma until it’s completed.
Has anyone else experienced this? What do I do?
Just the ones who don’t scroll up in the quest box. You have to do a task with bart, willie and collect fertilizer to complete it.

I been playing this game a few months now, I have to stack crap because I never have enough dough to open more land. Also the tasks you end up doing for 24 hours or more, you only get 100 bucks? I think they need to add different (more) houses. I see pretty much all my neighbors have the same issues. Farming buildings to try and get enough, which takes up valuable space. My only compliant… lol
P.S. I need a money collider not and xp collider
Keep playing…in a few short months, you’ll have more money than you need to do what you need to do, and, not long after that, you’ll have more money than you know what to do with.
In the meantime, try and keep your characters on the shortest duration tasks you can reasonably keep up with and be sure to have the full 100 neighbors and visit them all daily. (When you max out on FPs, you’ll start getting TRIPLE the $$ and XP for neighbor taps.)

I went two whole days without a donut! I’m really not complaining. I remember when I’d go months without a donut. That’s how much the game has changed, for the better IMO. I did get 3 donuts from friends today, and should get 3 more from Maggie tonight. 🍩🍩🍩
Oh yeah, the game is definitely plentiful with free donuts lately not denying that, just when you get used to it, and then you go two days with zip, and what used to give donuts, gives event currency instead…. lol
I completely agree with you. It felt weird to go so long, two days, without. Then I thought to myself, remember how it took you about a year to save up for Otto lol. I actually don’t mind the daily challenges giving currency. As long as it’s crafting currency. I know it’s a long event but I’d like to craft as much as I can.
Actually, I’ve discovered that some of those event tasks DO yield donuts! 🙂
Weird thing, though… This morning, I had a task to get courtesy chips that was going to yield a bunch of horseshoes or something. I got greedy, wanting donuts, so I dismissed the task and got……a task to make and get lattes (D’oh!). So, I figured that I’d wait until tomorrow and use my one “dismiss” to fix that (and hope that tomorrow’s task was at least for event currency. But, when I got back into my game this evening, the dismiss x was back! I dismissed the lattes and got a task to basically collect Lisa from the casino (which it was time to do anyway) for which my reward was…..a donut!
The TSTO gods smiled a bit at me today. 🙂
That’s cool, so far the past three days now all I got was event currency. Got 3 donuts from Maggie, but that’s a different aspect of the game. So far since the event I’ve just got crafting currency, which is still nice to get, just y’know, donuts are that much nicer lol.

Cheers HH, great to have you as a new neighbourino! Looks like you’ve been playing a while, I like the event areas around the edges of your lil’ Springfield, took some time to ‘splore!
Been playing 2 years as of Feb 13th. I move things around a lot and now with casino update grrr, just placing in back corner till over then might move down by water, but I like my mansions by beaches reminds me of home in CA so what to do lol will wait till event over and see what I have.

Stitch Face, if it’s any consolation I’ve had 8 permanent teeth removed, all 4 wisdom and all 4 eye teeth… was able to keep all of them after removal (not normally allowed apparently). Never really caused a concern. And losing your nose? Seen what happened with that in Se7en?!?
But yeah, cyber-me-up-baby, as soon as there’s a better and more replaceable part starr cutting and hacking!!!

Cool that they let you keep your teeth. They wouldn’t let me keep mine. The assistant even tried to give me one of mine, but the dentist stopped her. Hah. Not a big deal. Probably would have meant a small amount of comfort (or crying) for a week and it might have just got tossed after that.
Sorry about the loss of your canines (what I call them). Those are some of my favorite teeth. I like being a vampire.

Won’t spoil Se7en for you by describing the scene, but you’ll know it when you see it…
I had two sets of canines essentially, think vampire with double fangs top and bottom. I really wanted to keep them in too, but not really my choice given the age I was at. Still have a couple of photos with them in, I look like some sort of weird, pale human-piranha, probably good I did get rid of them!
Oh. Double sounds cool, but yeah makes sense to get rid of them.
