Casino 2016 Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 4 Britannia Casino

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Viva Las Springfield!  The Casino Event has arrived in Springfield…and it’s full of Vegas inspired decorations, buildings and games!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Red Chips (ico_casino_redchip_lg) to unlock each prize!

The fourth Act 1 prize awarded at 71,600 ico_casino_redchip_lg (or +27,300 from Magic Act Milhouse) is the Britannia Casino…because what’s the Vegas Strip without themed Casinos?

2016-02-23 22.45.54

So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 71,600 ico_casino_redchip_lg (or +27,300 from prize 3) you’ll automatically be awarded Britannia Casino and you’ll see this message popup:

2016-02-23 22.46.19

And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield Immediately or Store it in your inventory for later.  Remember, if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to place it in Springfield later…

REALLY IMPORTANT: Britannia Casino awards 240 ico_mhub_casino_eventlevel.  However, you MUST place and BUILD it in your Springfield in order to get credit for 240 ico_mhub_casino_eventlevel.  If you store it in your inventory immediately and don’t place in Springfield you won’t get credit for the Club Cards.  You’ll get credit once you place and build it. So don’t think just because you stored it you’ll never get the Club Card Points.  Just place it in Springfield and wait for it to finish building and the points will be awarded to you.

Once placed in Springfield the Britannia Casino has some dialogue that pops up:

Carl: This casino is like taking a vacation in Britain.
Lenny: The service is slow and everyone complains about the European Union.

And that’s it.  No tasks associated with it, and no additional tasks to help you earn more ico_casino_redchip_lg.  Simply place and that’s it.

Here are some quick facts about the Casino:

And there you have it the details behind the Britannia Casino..the fourth Casino Event Prize!

  1. Using tokens now can help level up the tower. It might be short sighted to use all my tokens and not have them to get a head start on Act 2, but I’m halfway between level 2 and 3 crafting thanks to coaster and keychain awards from the dice and slots games. Allegedly, once at level 3 there’s no limit on the number of items you can craft (except for the unique items) AND all the crafting items are unlocked.

That said, I think it’s great that as Alissa’s posts have said, we’re each free to play this event in a way that suits us individually.

  2. I’m thinking of saving my gold coins (to play games) until act 2, do you think they will carry over?

  3. I have just got the britiania casino and placed it in my casino section! I only have two days until Act 2 and I don’t think I will be able to get Lucius by then. When act 2 starts can you not unlock act 1 prizes ( for example after Monday 7th can I still work to and unlock Lucius sweet) thank you!

  4. Need 9k for this one, can i make up all this lost ground over the weekend?

    Expatrie-

  5. Brilliant building. Love it!

  6. I know everyone is saying this, but hear me out. I won this prize, put it in my inventory, placed it, waited 8 hours for it to build, and then clicked build. I then breifly saw the vip points come out of it but was quickly rushed to a dialogue. After going thru the dialogue I checked my vip points…. the count never changed so I didn’t get any of the points it’s supposed to reward. I’ve tried hard closing, reinstalling, the whOle works. My vip points are no where to be found. Could u supply any assistance before I contact EA?

  7. Hey Alissa my spotlights won’t turn on. Is there a fix?

    • Not that I know of, you’ll have to contact EA

    • I previously had trouble with my spotlights too (if you mean the ones that cost game cash) I needed to zoom the screen all the way in, and tap on it and it worked. Also, I found moving the spotlight away from other buildings etc and tapping on it worked, then you can move it to where you want to place it once it is turned on..

    • Mine took a week before they randomly turned themselves on.

    • Move them to a free space and try again. If you place them too close to a building they will not switch on. After you switched on the light, move it to the place were you want it. The light will still be switched on.

  8. Freshen your drink gov’na?

  9. I have it. Cool looking

As it’s based on an English building, I could ONLY place it the correct way. (Maybe not it’s final position)
NO Totbox it shouldn’t have a moat around it!
The building it is based on is the current Palace of Westminster which was built in Victorian times to replace the previous Houses of Parliament. Designed by someone called Barrie and finished with designs by Pugin. As shown in my screenshot, the river Thames is behind it with Westminster Bridge. The clock is usually called Big Ben but that is just the name of the bell which chimes on the hour. The bell has a very distinct tone which is caused by it having a large crack and a chunk missing. The bell was cast at the Whitechapel Foundry, Whitechapel being famous as the hangout of “Jack the Ripper” The correct name is St Stephen’s Clock Tower. The tower at the opposite end of the building is the Sovereign’s Tower, this is where Her Majesty the Queen enters and gets her robes and crown on (the only time she wears the crown jewels, usually on display at the Tower of London 2 miles east along the river) for the state opening of Parliament when she gives the Queen’s speech (written for her by the prime minister as she doesn’t play an active part in governing the country).
The Queen’s speech is given in the House of Lords, and the members of Parliament are summoned to the entrance to hear the speech, they may not enter the House of Lords as they are commoners, and the Queen and Lords may not enter the House of Commons. On the floor of the chamber of the House of Commons there are two red lines painted, the distance between the lines is
“two swords length plus a foot” this is to prevent sword fights between Members of Parliament with opposing views. There is a public gallery for protesters to throw stuff from. Outside is Parliament Square where there is a statue of Sir Winston Churchill, the bronze statue is electrified so the pigeons will not land on his head and do anything unpleasant.

Within a couple of minutes walk of the Palace of Westminster is the Prime Minister’s house at 10 Downing Street, when seen on TV with the door open, the portrait visible on the wall inside is Sir George Downing who was famous in the old days. In the other direction is Westminster Abbey where royal weddings, funerals, and coronations happen, lots of famous people from the old days are buried there including Percy Shelley (a poet), his wife, Mary Shelley who wrote “Frankenstein” is buried in the church in my local town centre (Bournemouth) because they used to live round here,
there is no way in the world anyone is still reading this

    🎲 🎲 🃏 🙂

    • Actually not that long compared to Sandra’s normal comments
      🎲 🎲 🃏 🙊 🙂

      • I read the whole thing! It brought back some fond memories of my 2 visits to London. I loved England so much would return in a heartbeat. I walked a fair amount of the grand city. Did White Chapel at night to add to the feel of “Jack”. Drank way too much ale that night? The English were quite amused that 2 American women were in pubs drinking strongest Ales. Didn’t pay for a single pint😉 and managed to talk bar tenders out of a pint glass for reminders of each pub!🍻

      • look how much space that took up! you just love filling those spaces don’t you? 😉

    • Read the who thing. Delightful and thanks for sharing.

    • I just liked it, I didn’t read it. 😉

    • I read it and found it quite informative, so thanks for that. 🙂

Hahaha @ the Sandra comment too :p

    • blackgypsyrose13

Read the whole thing and quite enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!

    • Thanks Wiki Lee.

    • That was fantastic Lee. I love this sort of stuff.

    • i read it all and enjoyed it! 🙂

    • Wow…really interesting stuff…really. 😊Thanx!

    • I like the ‘stream of consciousness’ tour guide stuff – you always learn something new!

& don’t underestimate the readers of this site.

      We read everything!💩
(this was the closest I could get to the All Seeing Eye…😊)

For just 120 donuts you could get the Ferris wheel which if placed across the Thames & on the other side of the bridge could then double as the London Eye… 120 donuts is a small price to pay for authenticity!!! 😄

    • I like how you described the public gallery, that it is there for people to throw stuff because they know they will. HaHa. 🙂

  11. I don’t see the 3 hr task

  12. We all space out at times. Use Friday as an excuse. I know I have a couple of times already haha.

Thank you for all the work you put in to help us in game and to build a community of fellow Tappers who look after each other.

  13. jorgeestavo123

Let post another comment about Feddy Quimby having a job here. 😉

  14. Sorry to post off topic but, I have a daily task to ” acquire courtesy chip 1/5.” I have collected from everything, gamblers walking around, charecters at the casino on task & from moe’s/ Cletus’s games & the counter never increases. I have no idea what courtesy chips are or how I acquired the first one. Any ideas on what this is or how to complete it? I’m think if by tomorrow it hasn’t increased I should just skip it.

  15. One of my neighboreenos already has the Safari Casino. Considering how you can’t buy crafting upgrades with donuts, I shudder to think how it was done.

  16. Derrick (chaostheory7777)

Freddy Quimby has a task here for 3hrs called “Pretend to be James Bond”. The Brittania sign then lights up and blinks

  17. I got Lucius Sweet at 3 am today! I should probably take it easy for the next 2 days..

  18. Freddy Quimby has a 3hr task associated with it where the sign lights up!

  19. I never got the dialogue after I built it haha. I put it on my strip like Vegas area next to the Buckingham Pay-less Motel.

  20. The comment about the EU did make me smile due to all the Brexit nonsense

It’s not the most exciting of buildings, only the sign lights up when Freddy Quimby is doing his task there (although “Pretend to be James Bont” is amusing)

  21. Freddie Quimby does have a task there. “Pretend to be James Bont.”

  22. I wanted to put a moat around it or at least a pond in front of it as a joke of being a place “Across the Pond” but neither looked good so I gave up on it.

Just wish when tapped there was a different sound, like a Big Ben (Bell) Dong, or “More Tea Gov’na?” Waitress line.

  23. Freddie Quimby has a 3hr Task there: “Be James Bond”. The payout seems to be a standard amount and it makes the sign light up.

  24. Freddy Quimby has a three hour task there

  25. It does give Freddy Quimby a three hour mission, I think “Pretend to be James Bont” or something like that.

  26. talon8770 / rick

Freddy Quimby has a task there “act like James Bot” that lights up the sign

  27. On the show, this was only a model of a casino (unless there’s another appearance I’m not remembering). Shouldn’t it be much, much smaller? 😉

    Freshen ya drink, guvnah?

  28. I already ended collecting all the prizes so far. I am not spending tokens right now, to use them in act 2. Am I doing the right thing, or do you believe I will lose them all as the act changes on monday? Thanks in advance.

  29. The Problem Child

Actually, Freddy Quimby has a job there. It’s the only time the casino animates. Mainly the sign flashes.
