Final Thought:
Premium:
This is a classic item many of you have been asking for since finding out about the Casino Event.  And this is another one of those if you want it grab it items.  There’s really not much as far as a practical side to it..strictly a want item.

Freemium:
Personally if I was a freemium player I’d pass on this.  It may be hard to pass up, but you’re not really adding anything to your game.  You’re just giving an existing character and decoration a new look.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ve caught the casino fever with this update and I’ve been adding many of the premium items…so I’ll most likely be picking this one up.    However, they are limited-time.  So if you’re thinking about getting them make sure you make your final decision before this combo leaves our games on March 17th.

  1. Well the Casino Reward Points payout is generous (480), but I think EA only delivered half the goods with Casino Bart / Casino Treehouse (both Bart & Milhouse should’ve came with permanent 3 hour Tasks that generated Tokens or Poker Chips – that I would’ve spent Donuts on) ….

  2. Hey Alissa the tie-in update fixed the payouts on Casino Boss Bart. Add that it earns at a premium rate on the SIB.

  3. Kim (kimberlyah794)

There’s got to be someone at EA, maybe a new programmer (?), who is messing up the coding on these things. If it’s a premium item, surely it should have premium benefits. I just don’t understand that.

I’m still on the fence about his one, and leaning toward no. If it changed the treehouse to generate currency at all, even non-event currency, I’d be tempted. I already have a few premium skins for Bart, so paying premium for a skin that pays as well as regular Bart isn’t enticing at all. I think EA dropped the ball here.

  4. Kind of a side note, but I’ve thought for a long time that if you have a premium skin for a character then ALL of that character’s skins should pay at the premium rate — so essentially getting a premium skin for a character turns that character premium. It’d be a nice way to let you use different skins and see different animations without losing the extra earning power that you paid for with donuts (or however else you got it).

    • Usually they do. This one however is only paying at the regular rate. Whether it’s a mistake in the programming or intentional that’s how it is currently.

      • Sorry, I didn’t say that clearly. What I want is that after obtaining a premium skin the character would be premium no matter what skin you had on. For example, if you have the Homer Stonecutter skin then Homer would pay at a premium rate whether he was wearing the Stonecutter skin, another skin, or just his default (no skin). There are some skins I’d like to use but I kind of feel like it’s a waste since I have purchased a premium skin for the character.

  5. I mean EA might patch it. They can’t just leave a premium skin like this.

  6. Wish we could get Robert Goulet to perform at Bart’s casino.

  7. The biggest problem with this item is it lacks Robert Goulet…

  8. No Robert Goulet? Pass.

    “Are you from the Casino?”
    “I’m from _a_ Casino.”
    “Good enough!”

  9. Where’s Robert Goulet? You’re going to give me Bart’s casino, but no Goulet?

If he complains about being in the game, just tell him that his agent told him to shut up…
    “Vera said that?”

  10. No Robert Goulet, no deal. 😉

Robert Goulet: Are you sure this is the Casino? Mr. Burns’ Casino? I think I should call my manager…
Nelson: Your manager says for you to shut up!
    Robert Goulet: Vera said that?

    • At least three other Robert Goulet posts! Lots of love and respect for the velvet mustache from my fellow Tappers.

  11. The make it rain task sounds like the non-family friendly song by Fat Joe and Lil Wayne.

  12. I wanted this at the start of the event (before I knew it would become available) because I thought all the kids could go and earn event currency, but they don’t which is a shame because the treehouse casino was a part of the episode.
    I got it anyway,
at least magic muggle Milhouse has somewhere to do his act
    🎩 🐇 ♠ ♣ 🙂

  13. So is it just me or whenever I put a 9 into Cletus’ Dice game I get 11 11 7….
Is it better to stick to one number or switch?

  14. Mr burns long hair crazy germ. Costume lol

  15. Do any characters have tasks at the lucky casino?

  16. I got it because I liked the look of it. Happy to have it in my Springfield 🙂

  17. Casino started over when I checked it. Oh well

  18. Meh. It’s ok, I don’t understand the hype over this. Haven’t really gotten to check out his outdoor jobs yet but that one with the security guards looks promising

  19. Wait – how can a premium skin not provide a premium payout? That doesn’t seem fair…how would a player who doesn’t hang out at a site like this be expected to anticipate that when making his/her purchase?

  20. I earned enough bonuts to buy this, so I grabbed it. Even if there is no benefit, I just loved it from the episode.

  21. I got it. So far I kinda wished I passed. The treehouse doesn’t light up and the skin is kinda meh

  22. After visiting a neighbor, I got one of my answers. The sound when tapped is children laughing along with (assumably) dice roll and arcade game noise.

    :/

  23. If it earned at a premium, I’d most likely be in. I don’t have a premium skin for him, and this would have been a good price….
Still, if I can rock the bonuts this week…doubtful since I’ll be camping this weekend and then it’s Spring Break!!! Wooooooooo! 🙂 LOL, I’m way too old for “Woooooo Spring Break!!”

    • Ooo you just made me remember Homer chanting that “Spring Break!!” Which I believe was the Florida Gator episode, which makes me think that some year EA might do a Spring Break event (like beachy stuff, swimsuits, sandcastles, which sounds like a summer event…) I still will like to see a Be-Like-The-Boy / If-it-feels-good,-Do-it Event and that idea can merge with the Spring Break idea.

Something New to think about 🙂

    • Watch out for the Bunny’s 🐰 in the woods 🌲🌲🌲🌲 .
      O I mean the bears 🐼 .

      See ya bye . 🌞 💎 .

  24. They still haven’t fixed the payout for Helen, Ruth and Patty at the she-she lounge. Will they ever fix it?

    • Maybe eventually…

      • That was doubly inconclusive as an answer. Well done.

        • Would you rather her say “you should Contact EA” ?

        • In Alissa’s defense, its the best answer she can give, like in most/all cases, only one that knows is the EA Execs, and sometimes they may not even know until they decide a few weeks/months/year from now. Could have other things on their plate to code or design.

          • Just to be clear, “maybe” is a fine answer and inconclusive.. “Eventually” is also an answer and also inconclusive. Both are along the same lines. I was just stating that Alissa’s answer, which makes a lot of sense, was the same thing twice.

Maybe I was just being weird. Sometimes people ask questions and I think … Who knows unless you work for EA? Alissa and group here sure do a lot for them, but I don’t expect them to be my answer desk either.

            I’ll slink off now.

            • It’s all good, reading between the lines I knew what you meant. Guilty of “jokes” that come off wrong myself more often than not. Was just standing up for Alissa (NOT that Alissa needs someone to stand up for her, I’m sure she’s more than capible on her own 😀 ) as she, Bunny and Wookie are not EA, can only presume what EA may or may not do, and have most of the information the same time we do (far as I know lol) Although rumor has it Bunny has a crystal ball and can forsee what the future of Tapped Out might be. She predicted a few characters that were introduced quite recently.

        • Not so: “Eventually” alone means that it *will* happen some unknown time in the future, whereas “maybe” simply means that it might happen, or it might not.

Her statement simply means that it is a possibility, but will likely take some time. It was not at all “doubly inconclusive.”

    • In the past they often fixed things like this. So while it doesn’t seem unlikely it may also stay this way.

    • Which tasks exactly? Patty doesn’t do the 4hr Party at the She-She Lounge task, but in the quest she goes to Moe’s and that does not pay premium. In my game, Helen and Ruth do pay out premium for the 4 hour Party task. The building itself is still not paying premium, which should be 300 not 200 for 12 hr. Are these tasks what you were talking about, or is it something else. 🙂

    • The best action is to keep talking about it, someone at EA™ will see it and get round to it …..maybe, eventually 🙂

  25. I would like this but as a Freemium, I must resist. The two outdoor tasks don’t excite me. The casino not payingout tokens or chips is a slap in the face. Also would think Magic Milhouse would at least have premium tasks there.

Is it Animated when in use (if so what)? what sound effect when tapped? (Now I have to check my neighbors towns)

  26. JohnTappedOut

I picked this up right away. I’m a character collection completist so I grabbed it but even if it wasn’t for that this one is a lot of fun 😀
In a side note are the Platinum Sratcher Tickets a one time deal? I was only able to buy one in the beginning of the event and they haven’t been available since (?) Thanks again TSTO addicts for all the awesome event information!

    Happy Tapping All!
