It’s episode tie-in time! And who doesn’t love a good episode tie-in?! After a bit of a break from these, EA’s brought one back to go along with this Sunday’s episode The Marge-ian Chronicles.
Of course like all updates this one comes with a little questline. Something to keep us tapping, and as it progresses you’ll unlock the free item associated with the episode tie-in (I promise it’s not just an update full of premium stuff…). So let’s take a look at that short little questline now…and just who you’ll need to keep free to complete it.

Oh good, another boring building with a radar dish that moves. Man that’s original. I guess I’ll watch the show Sunday but I don’t have high hopes. I’m basically an older episode fan.

Colony is decoration only after being fully upgraded and doesn’t appear to be providing any bonus. Frustrating
So I bought the Mars Colony today, and the next time I logged into Tapped Out it was missing from my town and back in the store. And the spent donuts were still spent. Fortunately EA corrected the issue (by adding 200 donuts back to my account so I could repurchase the colony). Here’s hoping it’s there the next time I log in.

It seems you forgot about the should I buy for the Mars Colony thing, releasing ‘where did they come from’s for the vegas wives, which everyone knows where they came from.
I didn’t forget about it…it’s coming. Sometimes I like to post some behind the game stuff for everyone’s entertainment instead of constant should i buy posts. (I’ve had like 7 go up in the last 2 days…i think people need a little break from them). I like to break things up because not everyone is interested in every article. I posted the submersible first because there was a lot of buzz about it. The mars colony is expensive and doesn’t appeal to many players, so I decided that a little lighthearted Simpsons recap would work just fine and dandy there for those players that don’t really care about premium stuff.
Remember this is a blog for all kinds of players, not just premium ones. I have been doing it for over 2 and a half years, with just a bit of success…so I think my system works just fine 😉
I merely mentioned it because you also didn’t mention it anywhere in this post, and also I don’t know the timer, but its an ep tie in, I’m assuming it has like a 3 day expiry.
Turbo Tappin’ posts, are separated as main questlines that are for everyone and premium ones. I never cover premium questlines for new purchases in the main turbo tappin’ posts. Also, there’s a timer in the store, doesn’t leave till 3/16. But the post is up now anyway 😉
When the building is tapped I think it says “K(ate), once you enter the Millitary you’re Okay”
I can’t seem to find the building all I have are the premium stuff. But it says i built it
Have you checked your inventory? Make sure to check the main inventory, not just the categories. Hope you find it. 🙂

I was able to send any adult…
I guess after the Exploration Incorporated building is complete…..? I ask this because when I click on the task: “Space is hot right now, pt 4- make “candidates” be Guinea pigs”- it takes me to Apu- who is currently bleeding out in the gift shop.
I was able to send Apu, Marge, Comic Book Guy..
So the building needs to complete its build before I can do the task?
For part 4? Yes
After the Exploration Inc build was done I was able to send 41 adults to be guinea pigs – including Miss SF. Of the adults that I tried only Mona couldn’t go and it’s not because she’s a ghost because Maude went happily…
Just finished questline and can’t wait for episode! I have 150 donuts at the moment and was wondering wether to keep saving for the mars colony or a premium building\character. What do you think I should save up for? Is the mars colony worth it? What is the best premium item for me to get? Thank you so much in advance!

Exploration, Inc. disappeared from my town where it was building and the whole quest is gone. Is this a glitch? Am I SOL? 🙁
Probably a glitch…try going to krustyland and back. If that doesn’t work contact EA

OT. Anyone ever have EA roll back their game? My Where’s Maggie Game has been stuck for weeks with 3 wins. I tried everything to clear it and couldn’t so EA is offering to roll back my game. They would give me 500 donuts BUT I would lose everything from the roll back date to the present. 500 sounds like a lot, but consider everything we got in the game in the last month or so.
Same problem here, talked to the support three times and still wait for a promised e mail by a specialist since a week. There are many players with this issue, they have to find a way to fix it with an update and reward the donuts that we couldnt win during the bug. I dont want to roll back the game, and never was i asked to do so during my conversations. It is really frustrating. My redwood tree stucks too right before the update to the next level. It is a shame that i had to spend hours of my time to explain my problems and they dont answer or say they will fix it but dont.
i always think i will wait for the SIB but anyone who knows me on here knows i am full of it LOL

How long will we have to complete this questline? I’m halfway to Cregg and I want to focus on that so I don’t want to send Lisa away until I have him.
As long as you start it you should have at least a month to finish it

Not Blazing Saddles??
I always think of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre with Bogart, isn’t that the original source of the quote? Then Blazing Saddles… What are the other options?
My first thought was UHF (if you see my other comment). That’s where I first heard it, and a movie I watched many times as a kid. Then I learned they got it from Blazing Saddles. Today, after looking it up, I see that The Monkees also used it, and, the source is Treasure.
If the Monkees used it I have no doubt that’s where I would’ve first heard it because when I was little I loved the Monkees TV show. Although I don’t have any specific memory of them using it. But, as an adult, Treasure of the Sierra Madres is one of my favorites, and that scene is so memorable.

Loved the opening banter back and forth and have to agree with TGG, the building fits in great with the earlier released space items.
Can’t see spending 200 donuts for the Mars Base. Now, if you purchased it and it took you to Marsland similar to Krustyland? That would be awesome!
I get to “Space is Hot Right Now Pt. 2” and as soon as the text ended I already had the task to build the Exploration Inc Building marked as done, and now I’m left without the possibility to build it! I didn’t see the unlock screen, it isn’t in the store nor in my storage… What can I do?
I don’t think there was a task to build it. You just got a popup after part 2 saying you won it do you want to place or store
I never got this building😕 just realized it when I went to a friends Springfield & seen hers. I know I completed these tasks. Is there a glitch that you know of?
There’s no glitch that I’m aware of. It was just part of the episode tie-in questline. You may have gotten the popup and not realized and accidentally stored it. If you don’t see it in your inventory and you know for a fact you did the full questline, then contact EA
The building is nice. It fits right in with the rest of the NASA stuff we got a few weeks ago and is great in expanding the little spaceport.
As far as the purchases re concerned, I’m not too thrilled. I’ll try to keep aliens, monsters & co. out of my Springfield, so No.51 is rather uninteresting, while the mars base seems way to steep for a decoration without a character at 200 donuts
Love tie-ins! Love the free building! Tho with all the stuff hitting us lately I’ve had a heckuva time figuring out how to redesign. I had been stuck since the land expansion before last. There are some places, like the airport I like to stay on the very end so the runway appears to keep going and isn’t unusually gimp!
I finally had some ideas and started the tedious process of moving every item one by one counting tiles (ocd). I swear that very day… More land!! Argh! Hard to complain about more land but… Laugh? Cry? THEN I read on here they added cut and paste!!! Best feature ever!! Still can’t figure out design tho 🙁
Love the little yellow submarine! I am not so sure about spending so many donuts on an upgradable deco especially since my aliens are alienated off in an area that’s sorta blocked off from the real world! Along with castles and stuff that doesn’t belong… AND… This was one of the only areas I was able to figure out a redesign for but there’s no room left!! My luck lol now they need an option to hire designers for donuts lol
I am sad I can’t move an area I built on the water which I have sorta connected to the alien area as I added spooky groves. They could be added to the pier tiles when they came out but not anymore. I thought I might sneak around it with c&p but nooooo 🙁
I was hoping we’d get Scharpling and Wurster’s (the guest stars) characters in the game. Funniest people ever. Still though, pretty awesome!

But I also like 5hr energy. It’s the only non coffee energy drink i can do. (red bull and i are NOT friends…especially when it’s mixed with vodka..ugh)
I’m with Alissa, I love my coffee. That being said I also use Q Energy from Canada. The big thing for me there is it actually is good for you (not just caffeine and chems) and tastes awesome. Keeps me tapping!

When will EA learn not to use characters that are needed for an event. Unless of course this is all part of a clever ploy to slow people down so they can’t get through the track prizes as quickly. I’m onto you EA (shifty eyes and slowly puts on tin foil hat)
Yeah, it’s bad enough I’ve only got 3 folks to send for metal recycling right during this event because the other 3 are at the casino. Now they want me to pull characters off recycling and the event for these questlines. I know they don’t want to handcuff the low level players, but they need to stop using the same characters for everything.
