So as you guys know by now…this is a decoration and to me decorations are a personal decision based on what works in your town and with your designs. I will say the fountain looks cool, as it’s always animated. So if it works for you, it’s not a bad buy. (But the bonus % payout is not as great as it could be. Especially when 40 donut items have a 2% bonus…so don’t get it for the bonus % alone)
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ll be adding this to my Springfield. However, this is limited-time. So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games on March 17th.

If it cost 25 Donuts, if it gave you double the Reward Points, I would consider getting this Decoration (it’s just Tappers can use Simpsons cash to get a Fountain, or craft Decor already that has Animated Water) and yeah a shame if doesn’t give 3% bonus – nice try EA 😉
FINALLY reached level 3 yesterday. Crafted the Dupes sign but can’t craft much else with no show tickets! Only about 1000 away from Cregg too!! I was wondering what the difference is between all the fountains? I know the turquoise looking one is constantly going but what is the difference between all the others? No point wasting harder to come by resources on fountains that all look the same.
I believe that four of them, the “sequence” fountains, go up to different heights as they go up and down, while the constant fount stays, well, constantly up. Each one is a slightly different color too. I’ve been looking at them in some of my neighbors’ towns to plan out what I’m going to do. But I’m not crafting anything until I have enough currency set aside to craft the Safari Casino — I’m planning on crafting the more expensive stuff first, then crafting the less expensive stuff of which, in some cases, I want multiples. I don’t know yet whether I’ll get enough currency to craft everything I want, but it seems like there’s still a lot of the event left, so I’m hopeful…
All four activate at different intervals, so if you put fountains 1-4 in a row, fountain 4 would spurt first, then 3, then 2, then 1 til all four are going at once for a few seconds, then they all stop, and restart
Only have sequence 1 & 2 fountains so far so don’t know about 3 & 4…
Apart from the different colour of the surround, the only difference I can see is in the timing. When I put them next to each other #2 starts 1st followed by 1 and then they stop at the same time.
I presume if you have 1, 2, 3 & 4 that 4 will start followed by 3 then 2 then 1 and then they will stop together… But I may be wrong 😄

I loved the look of this, bought it, regretted it terribly, but now am loving it again. I think I was just temporarily overwhelmed by the amount of new stuff and how event stuff always gets shoved together in a clump until it’s over and I decide what to do with it.
I don’t think I’m going to bother crafting the safari casino at this point, unless I have the currency extra at the end. I bought the riverboat one and there are enough other free ones that it doesn’t seem like a must have for my eventual strip.
I’m on the fence on this one. It does look really cool when I see it in neighbors’ towns, but it seems overpriced.
As far as the double chip bonus for tapping gamblers, it’s nice but I wish they would increase the payouts for crafting currency instead. I still have four bars to get to crafting level three and I’ve barely crafted anything since the event started.
I love this fountain! I still haven’t found a great way to set up my Vegas/Springfield strip yet but I’m happy I bought it!
I bought it because we lived in Kansas City once which is the fountain capital of the US. But, once I saw it I put it in the netherland of Springfield Heights. Meh
Alissa: HELP! Somehow my game bumped me when I went to sign in this afternoon. Origin account normally listed as aaronbradl and linked to my e-mail addy from a long time ago. Level 59, premium player. Now that I signed back in I am bumped back to Level 1 and origin idea shows up as aaronbradley11. Same e-mail addy. Now EA says they never had a record of the level 59 at the e-mail addy. Only level 1. What do I do to make them understand how to look at what I did this morning under the aaronbradl?
Why is this happening to me? Also, I was receiving push notifications from Level 59 even though my game had been reset to Level 1. This was just before they had me uninstall and reinstall the app. When I did what they said it came up at Level 1 again. HELP!!!
By the way, I have come to rely upon you for possessing “omnipresent” and “omnipotent” knowledge for everything TSTO! By the way, by the way, cute kiddo!
Not Alissa… but can offer help. Log out of whatever account is showing up now and try again. You listed two separate screen names which tells me there’s a second account in there somewhere triggering two separate names. This happened to me when I accidentally logged into an old email that I stopped using and an old Level 1 account.
Once I realized I switched to my new email account and logged in that way… my right game was back.
So try other combos. Same email, different password. Alternate email and password. Etc. See what happen.
20 chips per gambler is cool. Cregg is already riding his bike so the bonuts may be coming.
Here’s the proof! I am getting +20 green chips for every gambler I tap. In this photo, I tapped two gamblers, and received 40 chips.

nah it doesn’t. my son and i are both getting 20 chips per drop in our games… i’m at gold level, but he’s still on silver.
I shoulda waited for the SIB on the Mars colony… Sigh.
Why what’s wrong with it I’ve really been thinking about getting it before the SIB.
Doesn’t do anything. You upgrade (4 levels) and it just sits there. No tasks (that I can see).
The Alien character has a task there to prove his existance, but that’s it that I know of.

Nope! I am getting +20 chips for each gambler. It’s very strange, but I’m not complaining! I wonder if it’s just me…
I just checked and I’m getting twenty too. This has happened before, in past events the amount we got for tapping stuff changed.
That’s cool, I didn’t realise that sometimes it changes. I’m an oldie really when it comes to TSTO…just I haven’t played it since 2013 lol.
All this crafting and different acts and levelling up and tapping is beyond me!
I think you may be on to something. I tapped one gambler with a clear view so I know that I didn’t tap another, and I got 20 chips!
I actually just saw it before and I tapped on another gambler and they dropped 20 also. Idk when this started.
Awesome! This should really speed up the process…but I hope drop rates of crafting materials have been increased too!
My feeling has been that the drops of tokens has speeded up in Act 2.
It just started dropping 20 each for me too. Sorry for doubting you. 🙂

I had an insane day with token drops from tapping gamblers! I’ve gotten 6 in a day max from tapping gamblers (and my average has been 3 per day, tapping about 14-16 hrs/day). Today, I’ve gotten 26 so far!! I’ve also been getting more crafting materials, more than double my usual haul. When I noticed a few minutes ago that I was getting 20 chips per gambler (was actually only paying attention because I’m close to bonuts), I came to check, and sure enough, it’s not just me!! Yay!!
Anyway, based on my token and crafting currency drops, I think they either fixed it to what it should have been originally or increased it. Either way, it does look like EA increased everything across the board. Or I’m just having the only run of good luck I’ve ever had during an event. 😉 Anyone else seeing the increase in tokens/crafting currency that could confirm this for Ellie?
I read on the forum that EA increased the drop of coins from 10% to 15%. Seems like a lot more than that to me. 🙂
Ahh, OK!! Seems like more to me, too, but I’m getting on average 1 token for every 9 gamblers tapped, so that’s about 11%. I guess it just feels like a lot more since I wasn’t even close to 10% before, averaging 3 per day. I wonder if there was a bug or glitch that had some tappers far below the 10% average, and that’s why they upped the drop rates. Thanks, Ellie and tapebelt, for the info! 🙂

yup, they increased the chance of a token dropping from a gambler in your own town, from 10% up to 15%.
Me, too. I wonder if a lot of people missed out on the final prize in Act One and they figured they needed to increase the drops? I know my gamblers weren’t spawning properly for two days, which is why I never got the final prize even though I check my game frequently. First time I’ve missed it. The gambler shortage was fixed by last Sunday morning and gamblers have been swarming in droves ever since. But 20 chips per sucker should help a lot.
Now if they would only extend the Miss Springfield Bonus Bundle til the end of the event so I might be able to earn the remaining donuts needed….
As a freemium player, I only spend donuts on characters. For my personal entertainment value, they are the only purchases that are worth it.
I like this one also. Looks good with the other Vegas Stuff and I like how it fits on the otherside of the road opposite the buildings. Cuz in TSTO you can not have buildings look good on two sides of the roads.
Got, like it but now to complete my design I need another strip of land.

Oh, puh-leeze – compared to what my house looks like, your “messy” section looks like a 5-star hotel! I am never one to judge other people’s messes.
(Although, I will say I’m not a fan of people who make no effort whatsoever to set up their town and just use all of the space as a big dumping ground for stuff…I mean, what’s the point in playing this game if you’re gonna do that? I mean, the questlines are fun and all, but they don’t really amount to more than a few hundred words of dialog for a whole event!)
But I think we all have those “temporary holding areas,” especially during events….I know I do!

SO SMALL. I crafted one and gave up, you’re never gonna notice them unless you craft a ton. I might buy the fountain though if I don’t get enough of the craftable ones.
Size matters not, sure they are small but I’ve crafted 8 of them, and they make a nifty Walk of Fame type strip.

According to some very preliminary calculations, I’d like to craft at least 14 of them. But I think I’ll save those for the end and see how things turn out.
Still haven’t crafted anything yet…only reached Level 3 yesterday (I think), so I don’t have much in the way of crafting materials right now. I should have more by the end of the evening, when I play a good chunk of the tokens I’ve been earning today.
I like that they are small. Now if only they allowed you to make pavement this size for paths etc…
And while I’m on a roll, how about some nice tall cypress trees that only take 1 square? Even though they are often called cemetery trees (at least in South Africa they are) I like them and they would be great for lining paths/roads or used as screening hedges etc 😄

After working a bunch of 6-day weeks, it was actually kinda nice to take a day off…I might have tried to suck it up and get some work done today (since I work from home anyway), but, besides being bone tired, it would have meant having to keep my scheduled 1×1 with my boss and, even though I love her (we’ve been on the same team for about 22+ years), I was NOT up for that….when I’m sick, everything seems WAY more overwhelming, so I know that if she tried to talk to me about some new project or give me any kind of constructive feedback, I would not have been in a good place to receive it properly.
I think I’m gonna try to take the whole weekend off, too, though I may regret it come Monday. (Speaking of which, today I got a meeting invite for first thing Monday morning. I’m never good with first thing Monday morning in general, but this Monday morning is going to be particular brutal, because, besides the fact that I’ll probably still be at least somewhat sick, it’s the Monday after the time change and we lose an hour. So my body is going to think it’s even an hour earlier than the already too early hour it is!)

Thanks, I have been…just watching TV and tapping all day today. Saw 2(!) movies and the series finale of Downton Abbey (among other things). Plan on doing much the same tomorrow. But I’m very nervous about Monday morning, what with the time change and all. And I’m really hoping that I don’t stay stuffed up/congested, because I’m supposed to be recording some narration on Monday or Tuesday… But I’m going to try to get to bed earlier tonight (which means shutting down my tablet earlier, although I’ve already went passed my originally planned deadline), to see if I can start to adjust my body’s hours a bit.
Coolest fountain I’ve seen in TSTO. It was a must buy for me. Especially with all the other craftable fountains as accents. Looks great on my Springfield Strip.

I have literally bought everything from this event besides the tokens and the Refer-a-Friend, plus the yellow submarine, aaaand No 51. EA found the sucker in me this time around. With all the rain we’ve been getting, and my wife being out of town for a few weeks, I have completely immersed myself in all things TSTO. Damn youuuu EA!! *shakes fist in air*
