In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
This post I will be going over the Origin of Casino Nessie.Why did it show up in our games? What happened that brought it into Springfield? Why is it in a Casino Event? Let’s dive into the Simpsons TV Series to find out more.
MONTY CAN’T BUY ME LOVE: Season 10, Episode 21
A New Megastore has opened in Springfield and Mr. Burns is jealous. It seems the owner is a more popular Billionaire then he is, Mr. Fortune.
Back at the Nuclear Power Plant, Mr. Burns approaches Homer. He needs help from Homer. He wants to be loved. Homer is really unsure of just what to do to help Mr. Burns become more loved. Mr. Burns wants people to look at him the way they look when they think of Mr. Fortune, HAPPY!
Homer attempts to help him out. First, they try tossing Silver Dollars off the roof of a building. That doesn’t really work as they become more weapons then a gift to the People of Springfield. Causing shattered car windows and pelting passersby as they try to walk down the streets.
Next up, a charitable donation. There’s a first time for everything. $200,000 to the Springfield Hospital should help, right? Mr. Burns has Homer go deliver it for him while he sits in his office and waits. The praises should arrive anytime now. They never came. Mr. Burns goes down to the Hospital to see what happened. Apparently Homer got the recognition.
How about Mr. Burns shows his face to the public… errr… by going on air. Down to KBBL to do a bit part on the Jerry Rude show. It didn’t go well at all. Mr. Burns feels that maybe he should give up. What’s the use? He will never be popular like Mr. Fortune. Homer mentions that Mr. Fortune just gave the Zoo some pandas. That sparks an idea for Mr. Burns. He is going to give the people of Springfield something they have sought after for a long time. Something even rarer.
Off in Mr. Burns Helicopter they go. Looks like Frink and Willie are going to join them on the hunt for the Loch Ness Monster. Well… seems Frink was more kidnapped and forced to help. Homer gets the pleasure of putting on a very old version of SCUBA gear and into the lake he goes to look for the Loch Ness… like Mr. Burns showed him… but no hat or T-Shirt.
When normal methods don’t seem to work, Mr. Burns resorts to draining the lake instead. That seems to do the trick, but the Loch Ness Monster is not too happy to no longer be surrounded by water. When the others walk away from the Monster, Mr. Burns takes it upon himself to get it… and apparently was successful as we next see it hanging from his Helicopter.
Back on the docks of Squidport, Mr. Burns is set up to introduce Springfield to the Loch Ness Monster. Everyone is in awe and tries to quickly snap up as many photos as they can get. Loch Ness seems to love the attention.
However, this caused Mr. Burns to panic, knock over some elecrical equipment, and end up setting the stage around the Loch Ness on fire. Everyone scatters. Guess he just blew it with his insane rampage.
Now what? Well Mr. Burns realizes just who he is and that he doesn’t need anyone to love him at all. What to do with the Loch Ness Monster though? Why give it a job… at his Casino (Vegas Town Casino). Nessie from Scotland is now security over the slot machines.
There you have it. A grumpy mean Billionaire attempting to fight for attention due to another Billionaire in town that turns into a popularity contest… and a Loch Ness Monster named Nessie coming to Springfield.

Not my favorite episode, but I liked some of it, especially Willie seeing his parents. I’ve always wondered how his dad managed to survive getting hanged for stealing a pig then thrown in the bog, but stranger things have happened.

being scottish, i’m kinda bummed that i’ve never visited loch ness. if there were a nessie like this i would be there in a flash. i love it, just wish there were a few tasks but alas.
But there is a Nessie, only its green, lol. You really should visit, breathtaking part of Scotland, it’s in my favourites Scottish places along with Glencoe, Skye etc.
Yep Nessie is roaming around my Springfield and I have a bundle of tokens waiting for act 3 to start. I wish more crafting supplies would drop from the gamblers, though.
And of course Nessis is purple not green due to an animation oops…

Casino Nessie has replaced my beloved two-unicorn as my favorite NPC. Her plump size is the best and the noise she makes is great.
He’s so cute, I love the little sound he makes. He looks like he’s roaring but it’s just a lil rumble. I think I’m gonna try to find and watch this ep.

Wow Bunny where’d you find a huge pic of Nessie like that? Or was it cropped from the dvd set or hand drawn? 🙂 Amazed mostly because Nessie pics are never usually that clear, kinda fuzzy, black an white, and most times look like a log 😀

Same, but kinda wish he had a task or two, even if its not a full list.
EA gave the Snow Monster a full set of tasks after sometime roaming around as a NPC. So there’s hope.
Nessie is my favorite prize so far, even if she doesn’t have a quest line. Anything casino related is fine by me. I’m all done with act 2 and waiting rather impatiently, for act 3. I have over 100 tokens, and my fingers are dying to hit those slots, lol.
