Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s that time…calling all Casino designs! We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Casino Event designs! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
Now that Act 3 has hit, it’s time to showoff your towns. So send us your Casino Event deigns and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Saturday March 26th…so you’ve got a full week to prep your towns.
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm EDT Friday (3/25). Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

I ran out of time and was only able to set up a couple designs real quick. I also had to break the rules and submit 4 pics lol but a Pimp has to break the rules every now and then!
Can I just blame it on Alissa for not waiting until a week after it’s over? Yes, I think I will just go with that. It’s all your fault! Lol 😬

Thank you! This is one of the most stressful designs I’ve ever done. Lots and lots of sleep was lost so I could get enough crafting material and in the end I still ended up spending a few doughnuts on those blasted walk of fame stars lol.

Just sent my entry, hope you recieve it Alissa. (or Bunny, or Wookiee, whomever gets the e-mail first. 🙂 ) Took about 3-4 hours but finally got the images stitched together properly (I think)

That’s the problem I’m having, past few days been trying to stitch together images. Reminds me why I was never good at sewing class in high school, I suck at stitching. Oh well there goes my dreams of being a surgeon lol.
Lol ya I tried for about 15 minutes and gave up. I have better things to waste my time on 😛

I’ll tell you what, leaving the characters in made this a lot harder to stitch together. Not only did I have to line up the buildings (and don’t look for it but they’re not all perfect 🙁 ) but I had to pick character actions and locations and not have duplicates (*cough*). Then, in homage to maborder’s neat effect during DSH, I dimmed some of the periphery (too subtle?).
So, like, I’ve never been to Vegas, nor am I familiar enough with the strip concept. So, mine is more like a mall/campus.
(My other casinos are not really designed out except for Nero’s. But, Nero’s needs some work and a new location. I might share that later.)

Oh, and I haven’t done much with the lights and water since level 2 of the Player’s Club. Maybe later.
We really need an edit button (or I need a filter). I planned to have more characters roaming, but they weren’t cooperating. The last few were hovering over in the West side of town. *shrug*

If you post images here maybe just say what app(s) you used to edit/stitch/post images etc & whether iOS or Android?
eg. iOS. AutoStitch. PS Express. Flickr.
Lots of people seem 2 want 2 know how it was done & it will also let us compare the performance of different apps?

I used Photoshop on my PC, transferred over from Kindle via email.
Previously I used an app called Bimostitch for Android. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a much larger area this time or what happened but it was blurry so I opted for Photoshop. It takes a lot longer but the picture turned out better. I’m posting using Flickr because I didn’t know any other way to post a pic comment. I was bound to cave eventually. 😄

Here is my entry (I hope it works, first time for me) :))
I redesigned the “center” of my town into a casino resort area. As you can see it stretches out quite a bit. I am still adding a few craft items here and there, but I am almost done. 😉
