Casino Event 101: Crafting Prize Breakdowns

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So a few weeks ago I broke down the ins and outs of crafting.  I explained how to craft, how to level up and how you unlocked the currency.  What I didn’t explain is what each item does, how it impacts your Springfield and if it’s worth crafting.

So now, I’m taking the time to break down each and every craftable item for the Casino Event.  Giving you the info about it, spacing required and if it’s worth crafting or not.  So without further ado I bring you the craftable prize breakdown post…

2016-02-24 03.01.17

Remember, if you’re confused about crafting…and how to level up…check out our crafting guide post that can be found here.  This will breakdown the ins, outs & how-tos of crafting and leveling up for the Casino Event.  This particular post, is just for breaking down each craftable item…what it does, how big and if it’s worth it…

Also, keep in mind that if you’ve unlocked every prize from all three acts you’ll still need around 2,000 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg to unlock the rest of the Players Club prizes.  You’ll have to make that difference up in crafting if you don’t plan on spending donuts on items.  So if you want the Black Diamond Tower you’ll have to craft everything you can to earn enough points.  More details about the players club can be found here.

Let’s quickly talk about Courtesy Chips…

ico_casino_courtesychip_lg

Courtesy Chips are earned when you lose at one of the Casino games.  They can ONLY be exchanged for Prize Chips…10 ico_casino_courtesychip_lg = 100 ico_casino_bluechip_lg.  As of right now there is no other use for them…so turn them in for chips.

Now onto the prize breakdowns….

OK, let’s start with the Level 1 Prizes…

Item: Walk of Fame Star
Cost: ico_casino_keychain_lg
Club Points Earned: 10 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg on first 4
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +10
Size:
1×1
Limit:
Limited to 4 at Level 1, 4 more at Level 2 (so 8 total), Limit is lifted once you reach Level 3.
What Does It Do?:
Nothing, just a decoration that sits in your town
Is It Worth it?:
In my opinion, not really.  It’s pretty tiny and really doesn’t make much of an impact in your town.  However, if you’re towards the end and have crafted everything you wanted it may be good to spend some keychains on this one.

ficusplant_menu
Item: Ficus Plant
Cost: ico_casino_keychain_lg 5 ico_casino_coaster_lg.rgb
Club Points Earned: 50 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg on first 8

Limit:

What Does It Do?:
Nothing, just a decoration that sits in your town
Is It Worth it?:
If you like it, and have crafted all of the other “top” crafting items…go for it.

Item: Cycling Spotlight

Limit:
Limited to 2 at Level 1, 2 more at Level 2 (so 4 total), Limit is lifted once you reach Level 3.
What Does It Do?:
Cycles through various colors.  You just tap once to turn on and it’ll change colors on its own.
Is It Worth it?:
I like this one.  I like that it changes colors on its own so you just have to tap once.  Can really add to the Vegas feel.  I’d craft a couple of these…

Tapped_Out_Constant_Fountain

Item: Constant Fountain
Cost: 10 ico_casino_keychain_lg
Club Points Earned: 25 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg on first 4
Conform-O-Meter:

Limit:
Limited to 2 at Level 1, 2 more at Level 2 (so 4 total), Limit is lifted once you reach Level 3.
What Does It Do?:
As the title says, it’s a fountain that runs constantly…when it runs it’ll look like this (all the time):
2016-03-20 22.26.00
Is It Worth it?:
If you like fountains, sure. However, I like the sequence fountains better…personally.

Tapped_Out_Sequence_Fountain_1

Item: Sequence Fountain 1
Cost: 10 ico_casino_coaster_lg.rgb
Club Points Earned: 25 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg on first 4

Limit:
Limited to 2 at Level 1, 2 more at Level 2 (so 4 total), Limit is lifted once you reach Level 3.
What Does It Do?:
Similar to the Constant Fountain, however this has a “resting” position (pictured in the image above).  So, again like the title, it’ll run in a sequence.  Every few seconds it’ll go up and down (designed to work well with Sequence Fountains 2, 3 & 4)
Is It Worth it?:
If you like fountains, sure. But use it with the other sequence fountains…it’ll create a better effect.

Onto Level 2 Crafting….

ico_priz_casino_neoncowgirl_lg

What Does It Do?:
Just like all of the other signs…although this one is a little on the smaller side.  It sits on the ground and isn’t elevated like some of the others.  Here’s how it looks:
2016-03-20 22.31.50
Is It Worth it?:
If you’ve been collecting the signs then yes.  Personally I do think it’s a bit on the small side, but it’s not a bad addition to the town.

What Does It Do?:
Like the Ficus, it’s just a tree.  Looks cool, but just a tree doesn’t do much else.
Is It Worth it?:
If you like it go for it.  Could add some nice design elements to your town.

Tapped_Out_Sequence_Fountain_2

Item: Sequence Fountain 2
Cost: 10 ico_casino_martini_lg

Club Points Earned: 480 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg
Conform-O-Meter:

Size:

Limit:
Limited to 1 and only 1.  So this is a unique item.
What Does It Do?:
When tapped it hovers in the air, similar to the hovercopter.  But it does not go very far off of the ground.  Here’s how it looks in the air:
2016-03-20 22.32.23
Is It Worth it?:
It’s cool…especially if you have an airport.  It’s one of the better crafting items…but it is a little disappointing that there isn’t more to it. However, based on the items available I’d say this is a must craft…

And finally Level 3 crafting…

ico_priz_casino_neonsigndupes_lg

2016-03-20 22.32.23
Is It Worth it?:
If you’ve been collecting the signs then yes.  I like this one better than the Cowgirl myself.

ico_priz_casino_spotlightmulticolored_lg

Club Points Earned: 10 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg on first 4
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +80

Limit:
Since this unlocks at Level 3, you can have as many as you want.
What Does It Do?:
Cycles through various colors.  However, unlike the Cycling Spotlight, this does not automatically change colors.  You have to tap it to change colors each time.  Here’s a look at the colors:
2016-03-20 22.28.44 2016-03-20 22.28.47 (1) 2016-03-20 22.28.50 2016-03-20 22.28.54 2016-03-20 22.29.01 2016-03-20 22.29.04 2016-03-20 22.29.07
Is It Worth it?:
I like this one too.  Especially if you have several of them, you can set different colors for various buildings/items.

Tapped_Out_Sequence_Fountain_4

Here’s a look at a few fountains together…

ico_priz_casino_nerosfountain_lg

What Does It Do?:
Another fountain.  This one just runs all the time.
Is It Worth it?:
If you like fountains, sure. Adds a nice design element for in from of Nero’s

ico_priz_casino_safaricasino_lg
Item: Safari Casino
Cost: 80 ico_casino_martini_lg 60 ico_casino_showticket_lg
Club Points Earned: 480 ico_casino_clubcardpoints_lg (it’s supposed to award this…at least that’s what it indicated during Act 1…)
Conform-O-Meter:
Consumerism +10
Size:
10×19
Earns: $90. 10xp/4hrs
Limit:
Only 1 per Springfield, so this is a unique item.
What Does It Do?:
Another casino, although this one has a cool rollercoaster animation when in use.  Brockman has a 10hr task there, to Research Fluff News, which will animate the building.  Here’s a look at it when in use:
2016-03-20 22.33.07
Is It Worth it?: It is massive, but this is probably one of my favorite Casinos from the entire event.  I love the animation on the Roller Coaster.  To me this is the best prize for crafting.

And that completes the rundown of each prize.  Of course what you might value as important will be different than what others thing is important.  For example, the Safari Casino was the number 1 priority for me.  But for someone else it might be the Spruce Moose, or one of the signs.  So it’s up to you to look at each item and decide what you would or wouldn’t like to have in your Springfield and craft away accordingly.

What are your thoughts on the craftables?  Any items you just have to have in your town?  What are you grabbing multiples of?  Design ideas? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Hey, I have crafted EVERYTHING possible, to the maximum amount in regards to earning the players club points, and now I can’t earn the last players club reward because it says I am still 5 points off of earning it! Has anyone else had this problem? Anything I can do to fix this without spending donuts? And no, everything is out of my storage, and in my game.

    • Store them… then see if you can buy more

      • I have the same issue and I tried this solution but it didn’t work

      • I stored everything down to one item only out and then crafted more items and placed item then stored item (repeating many times) and I had all the players rewards. After I bought the Vegas wives and got even more than I needed in players points… ✌️❤️🍀

    • I’m not sure why you don’t have enough… I have crafted all of the major prizes, but only 4 of each fountain/spotlight etc. I made sure I placed everything as I crafted it and I didn’t buy anything from the store with club points. I currently have 8,205 club points and only needed 6,660 for the Black Diamond tower. I thought this was one of the easiest parts!

  2. Kim (kimberlyah794)

I’m really hoping that we can put the Safari Casino in KL when the event is over. I think it’d be nice to have a new “ride” there. Poor KL, the forgotten step-child of Tapped Out.

  3. conservationist

The Ficus Plant is actually kind of great. I’m pretty sure it has the highest TH points per square in the game. I made 75 of them just so I could start getting rid of all those Angel Topiaries littering my town.

  4. I have already crafted multiples of everything and I still have hundreds of each crafting material! I really don’t need dozens of everything, so I guess they’ll go to waste. I wish there was a way to gift them to my neighbors who still need them.

  5. If I want crafting supplies I go to the dice den and pick #2, an unlikely number. Then when I lose, I get a courtesy ticket and usually crafting supplies, often martinis.

  6. Crafted one of each to have a complete set, but from now on it is more a question of what crafting currency I have. Martinis are in short supply, but I have loads of key chains and coasters, so I will probably end up with a lot of the level 1 stuff. The rest not so much. I will probably go for the sequence fountains with the few Martinis, they are rather nice as a set.

  7. This event is probably tied with the Superhero event as my favorite. Thanks to hoarding coins, I have 6 days to earn the final prize. I think I will make it lol.

i was nervous at first about leveling up for crafting but I reached level 3 days ago. I have now crafted everything I want and am just crafting random stuff to store for down the line.

I like many of the prizes but I kind of wish EA would figure out the scale of some of their buildings. The Safari casino is huge! But Nero’s is so small, especially when characters walk by it. This seems to be an ongoing problem – some buildings like the Convention Center, YMCA and Powell Motors are so tiny compared to the size of the characters. I have noticed that all the new stores (especially the Xmas ones) are huge compared the stores from the lower levels (try putting Skip’s Diner and the Comic Book store next to the Chocolate Shoppe and Abercrombie and Rich – they look ridiculous lol)

  8. Anybody notice the fountains do not match their crafting image? When you craft a fountain it does match the image and is a different fountain?

  9. How can I get more martini’s? Shaken, not stirred. A lot of the itemsh from the final Act require martini glashesh.

  10. So now that I am almost half way there to get Gabbo and Arthur and there isn’t much left to do other than play casino games. Player Club points are just being collected and can’t be used on anything as I have all 20 levels. So I sit here with 10,600 player club points and can’t do anything with them. They should have made them redeemable for something. Oh well, I guess we will just have to see what they come up with after this event is over.

  11. Hey everyone,
I am loving this event. Got all the unique items crafted, about 6-8 of each fountain, except neros fountain, got 2 and ten of both craftable lights. Of course I went crazy and got about 300 of the white spotlight and 200 neros walls bought with in game cash.
The info box in the game says the neros walls improve your righteousness rating. Is this def true? They could take the place of the training walls and they are a lot smaller.
Lastly, there is no way to get the golddiggers sign if I just bought sleep-eazy and miss springfield with the recent donut rebate deal, right? Overall I try to be very understanding but sometimes EA just doesn’t seem to see things that should be obvious. Thanx and have fun.

    • Not that I’m aware of at this time.

It may seem unfair to you..but it’s a consolation prize, in my opinion, to those who had to pay full price for miss springfield and full price for the hostess costume.

  12. I was able to store all the 4 max items after crafting them & I was able to craft 4 more & still earn cards on them. Yes, that’s a total of 8 paying out cards. The large fountains I was able to do the same but, only 4. 😁 I followed the advise of the original post & did not upgrade or craft till last week. I have crafted every item several times with the exception of the ones that can only be crafted once. Thanks for the research!!😃

  13. I hate how long it takes to earn the prizes, i never spend real money so i never get to the end prize

    • There’s honestly no need to spend any $$ in order to obtain all Event Prizes, as long as:
A.). You read daily through all of the excellent tips & strategies provided by our lovely Addicts team.
B.) You log-in a few times each day (every 4-5 hrs for this one) to complete Event currency-earning tasks.
C.) Your level is high enough to own & use of all (or at least most) of the freemium Characters.

      Best of luck! 😃

    • Hmm to get end prizes no need to spend any real money. But you do need time management. So those that don’t have time, EA hopes that they spend real money.

  14. I absolutely love the fountains! I am building a whole fountain park in Springfield heights.

  15. I wish the cycling spotlights didn’t cycle so fast. I don’t really like it. They should slow down just a little.

  16. Can anyone confirm that the safari casino earns you club points?

  17. The Dupes sign, I placed next to the Steel Mill not only to be a Freudian reference but if you have dyslexia it might say “Dudes” :p

  18. I have something to say about the Spruce Moose but I think I’ll wait for the WDTCF post (presuming it’ll come, right?). I’ll give you a hint what the comment is about (I had to search for the name) “Sea Duck”. :p
