Tapped_Out_Peacock_Lounge

Building: Peacock Lounge
Donut Price: 80 donuts
Earns: $150,13xp/8hrs
Size: 10×10
Conform-o-Meter:
Vanity +100

Leave Our Games March 29th

Pros:
-Comes with some short dialogue
-Character task here, Mrs. Muntz has a 10hr task here (sweep the aisles, pays $350,90xp)
-Lights up when in use
-Earns 480 Club Card Points when Purchased

Cons:
-Fairly large building
-No real benefit to it.  It’s just another building, although there is a task there.

Final Thought:
Premium:
It’s basically another casino.  Actually it IS another casino building for your town.  I’d only recommend getting it if you’re collecting the buildings and you want another.

Freemium:
Personally if I was a freemium player I’d pass on this.  It’s not adding anything to your game other than another casino building, and you’ve alread earned many of those for free.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ve caught the casino fever with this update and I’ve been adding many of the premium items…so i’ve already picked this one up.  Also, the name and signage designs mimic the Flamingo hotel (or Flaming-O, as Wookiee calls it) hotel in Vegas (even though the pyramid design mimics the Luxor Hotel) and I have many fond memories of the Flamingo hotel.  It’s one of my favorite hotels on the strip, so that’s another reason I picked it up.    However, it is limited-time.  So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before the event ends!

Here’s a look at the dialogue that comes with it…

Ralph: This must be a lounge for peacocks.
Wiggum: Hee hee, little kids think such silly things.
Homer: Out of my way!  I’m going in to eat peacocks!

And here’s how it looks when it’s animated by Mrs. Muntz’s task:

  1. I saw Wayne Newton perform at the Flamingo several years ago and stayed at the Luxor. Seems like it was meant to be. But I’m freemium so no go.

The neon also reminds me of the Peppermills. I had an insanely large fruit plate. It was enough for maybe 6 people.

  2. I’ll probably get it, since I was hoping for a pyramid-shaped casino. That said, I wish it was lit up all the time, not just when in use. 10 hours is an odd task time, too.

  3. …and again, the one task that takes place there doesn’t even pay at premium rate. Such lousy deals should really be boycotted by all players…

  4. If it had a 2% or more multiplier I’d get it.But I’m gonna pass. This event has given many mucho bonuts and I know something I *must* have will come along.

  5. I normally don’t buy just buildings but since it was basically free with all the bonuts I got for this event. It does put the final touch on my casino area and it is a pyramid I had to have it..

  6. I loved it right away, but I hate spending that much on just a building. I love the colors and the resemblance to the two real casinos, although I’m not a gambler in real life either. Nothing about this post changes anything for me, good post but about as I expected as just a building. But I’m afraid it will be like the Shamrock lounge for me, I passed the first time but coveted its night colors every time I saw it in another town and I jumped on it the next year… I think I’ll get it.

  7. It’s so pretty and I LOVE Peacock but I just don’t have the room for it on my strip. So I might hold off and just hope one day it will return. Plus I try to save my sprinklies for female characters. Though it would be nice for my mutant peacock to have a place to call home hahahaha

  8. I bet that Hostess Miss Springfield works here. 🐱🐱

  9. The thing with premium event items is that there is no permanent benefit, after the event has ended they are useless.

  10. Ms Muntz gets $35 an hour to sweep here? Where can I get a gig like that? That’s a paddlin’. Seriously though, it’s a decent building IMHO.

  11. (Sorry if I should be asking this elsewhere, but…)
I’m seeing more and more people with white staircases outside Burns Casino. Does anyone know how they got them? I’m not seeing anything in the store…

Ik you don’t like Add Me requests in your posts, but this is more specifically asking as to how I can add Alissa, Bunny, Lee, Ciera, etc (Active people on the site :p) as neighbors because I’d love to see what you’ve done with your towns xD

    • For the Addicts… email us the request. We get a lot and try to do what we can to add people when we can.

For seasoned Players, Addicts Open Thread is way to tell them you’re interested… but still try to take it to friend request page otherwise our regular posts are overtaken by friend requests

    • Feel free to add me 🙂 I have a bit of a queue of people waiting but if I’ll see what I can do.

  13. Really disappointed. Love the look of it and my imagination was running wild. Couldn’t wait to see it lit up. To quote Comic Book Guy, lamest animation ever.

    • No, the Woodstock casino has the lamest animation ever IMO.

      • The casino in itself yes, but I put a bunch of colored lights around it, moved Otto’s Bus next to it so he can jam out and liven the place up a bit. It’s not an interesting individual item but a good base for design.

        • Yeah, mine makes a nice transition from my Farmers market to my new militia area with the wrecked prison bus to explain the downed fence. I frequently send Chalmers to live off the land at the campfire behind the stage so I’m still pleased with it.

  14. Hey Alissa I sent you a reply, did you read It?

  15. Thanks Alissa, I passed
    🙂

  16. I actually really like the look of it. If it were 50 donut or less, I’d probably jump on it. As it is, I think I’m going to pass. I’ve also made big surrounding courtyards for Brittania, Nero’s and Burn’s, so it would cost a bunch of space, to boot.

  17. Guess I’m glad I passed on this one (and La Belle Frottage or whatever its called), Buildings without a character/skin just don’t seem worth it to me anymore.

  18. The Problem Child

It’s not casino-y enough for me so I just added it to my gay area. It looks great with a pride sign and rainbow trees

  19. I was waiting for this post…but I went ahead & got it because I liked the colors & uniqueness of it. I’m not a gambler IRL either,, so I’m surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed this event. I have spent more donuts on this event than any of the others put together! (probably) I’ve been playing since Halloween ’13. This has been a really great event,,IMO.

    • Right there with ya. Never felt the urge to acquire everything from an event until this one. This has been my favorite event to date. Now if only they would incorporate a “night” setting for our SF, how cool would our strips look all lit up!!!

      • It seems like I’ve been hearing that a lot lately…hopefully EA will hear the mumbling of their players & implement something like that. The streetlamps could light up….anyways..I’m usually tired of the event this far in,,but still enjoying it-might even be a bit 😢 when it ends. Only a few days left. I even picked up the Pow-Wow!

  20. I would love to have it but I am a freemium player 😭😭😭😭😪😪🙀
The little donuts I manage to accumulate I prefer to spend them on characters. I will pass on this one and enjoy it in other towns.

  21. I totally got this casino, no regrets but I thought it would’ve lit up awesomely like the lucky casino. Oh well, still a cool decoration for my casino area 🙂

  22. I don’t gamble in real life, not a fan of Vegas, would rather be in mountains, or at beach away from people. Was going to stay away and save my donuts, you guys are bad influences😝now I’m not sure. I do like purple & peacocks! I’m so confused!!

  23. FYI – the test failed. Bummer – maybe comments just don’t show up in the app.

  24. App test- wondering if I can see comments in app if I post something.

  25. Still not sure about this one.. I like it allot but im also worried i wont have donuts for limited premium characters soon after this event

  26. Is the Muntz task permanent?

  27. Got it! Love, love, love it!

  28. I looooove it 😍 But if memory serves when Muntz is animating it I thought the letters lit up in yellow?

    • Nope, they’ve always been pink. (I remember because I spent quite a bit of time coordinating some of the spotlight colors to the lounge.) There are blinking yellow lights along the top of the peacock-feather-looking sign, but those light up regardless of whether the building is occupied or not. Really, the windows lighting up is the main change I’ve noticed when occupied.

  29. I’m a bit of a sucker for anything pyramid shaped and purple is a favorite color, so I couldn’t resist this one. It’s the only premium building I badly wanted this event.
