Crook and Ladder Prize Guide: Fire Chief Moe and his Animations

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Crook and Ladder mini event hit our Springfield’s last week and with it arrived a whole bunch (ok a few) of Fire Themed prizes for our Springfields!

This event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes.  For part two through 9 of We Didn’t Start the Fire you’ll have to earn crookandladder_medal_ via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.  Three of the 8 prizes are Fire Chief Moe and tasks related to him.

So let’s take a look at these Chief related prizes and just what happens when you unlock it them your Springfield. 

Once you’ve completed We Didn’t Star the Fire Pt. 2 you’ll automatically be awarded the Fire Chief Moe and you’ll see his character unlock message pop right up:

And Moe is the first in the Volunteer Fire Department Character Collection:

Moe will automatically become Fire Chief Moe, and start helping you earn crookandladder_medal_ for the next prize!

Moe does not come with his own questline, since he’s part of the main (We Didn’t Start the Fire) questline.  So you’ll need him to unlock the rest of the prizes. 🙂

Now once you unlock Fire Chief Moe not every task will be unlocked.  You’ll unlock two additional outdoor/visual/animated tasks for him as you progress through the event.  Prizes 2 and 5 are both animated tasks for Fire Chief Moe.

Prize 2 unlocks the “Fundraise” Task…which is a hilarious 8hr outdoor task involving Moe, his boot & Cash..

Again these are both basically outdoor/visual tasks for Fire Chief Moe, and nothing more.  I know some of you are questioning the animation…and saying you’re not seeing anything.  It’s simply an animated outdoor task…nothing more.  So if you watch Fire Chief Moe and send him on those tasks you’ll see the animation… 🙂

    I heard someone ask already but is the rallh in dalmation costume task really truly gone just after that one 60 min task??? 😞

    Just a friendly reminder
    Beware the public buildings that normally are vandalism buildings.

    You might wanna be careful if your still on the fire quest when you tap matches on vandalism buildings it may appear as graffiti on the other persons end..

    If your still on the lighting matches quest part of the event and the other player has finished that quest and gotten the fire station then it will appear as graffiti on their end vs if they had been on the lighting matches quest still it would only appear as fire with a fire hat…

    I’m not s big fan of skins (I, personally, wouldn’t pay donuts for one) but giving them away as prizes is fine. But having his animations/tasks as prizes seems…I don’t know, lazy. If they can’t think up other prizes, and want X amount of prizes for the event, how about giving us donuts? Prize 2 could be 5 donuts and prize 5, 10. Or whatever seems fair.

      It’s a bit alarming how many cats there are in the trees of Springfield, I guess it’s probably a result of the Crazy Cat Lady constantly walking around throwing cats everywhere.

    Hi, I am not getting any medals on my friend visits. It’s been well over 24 hours since I’ve gone to my neighbors. Anyone else experiencing this?

    Lovin the animations….fun stuff. Ralph task is permanent “8 hr. Do Tricks” I’m happy to burn (hehehe) thru this event fast. It’s giving me time to rearrange my town with all the new additions. I’m also happy about the “fight fire” options for the fire dept although I wish they would have added more choices for time lengths. Kind of like the drive in, wish it had more choices but no complaints, still fun 😀

      So, I know that there will eventually be a post on this, but I have ?s about the fire station. ……

      I’m done with the event as well, now we juse use the building to set/put out fires as a way to earn cash?

      Does it use the characters? Any associated animations? (Other than the fire)

      You’re saying it’s basically like drive in, chanel 6, etc….?

        After you’ve finished the questline, tap the fire station and you should get a menu offering firefighting jobs, see my comment on the burning questions thread

    Really excited about this event as seems fun! Already unlocked all the prizes and am loving all the skins and funny animation! The outdoor task for Ralph (become the mascot) is this permanent as when I finished the event questline the task disappeared!
