Should I Spend Donuts On the Nature Bundle?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Gil’s back in Springfield!  This time he’s peddling premium items with a rebate.  Some old and some are new, but all are offered at a discount!  So bust open those piggy banks because Gil’s tempting us all with this deal.

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Nature Bundle to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding things tree-hugging bundle to your town.

Bundle: Nature Bundle
Donut Cost:
100 Donuts (Valued at 205 Donuts)
Includes:
Springfield Greenhouse, 5 Apple Trees, Butterfly Tent, Cherub Bird Bath, Kang Topiary, Kodos Topiary, 5 Orange Trees, 10 Rose Bushes & 1 Tree Swing.
Bouns %: Approx 6.5% -7% of bonus % built into what’s being offered.
Earns: The Greenhouse earns $300, 30xp/12hrs
Size:
8×9
Conform-O-Meter Impact:
Greenhouse is Tree-hugging +400, everything else is returning and will impact either Tree-hugging or vanity.  The total works out to +5400 in Tree-Hugging and + 1000 in Vanity.

Leaves stores on Tuesday April 19th, at 0800 GMT.

Pros
-A really good value for what you get.
-Comes with a quest line
-Greenhouse is a unique looking building in Springfield, goes well with a lot of designs
-At the conclusion of the questline you’ll earn a free SLH Topiary
-Animated when in use.
-Willie has a 6hr task here to Work with Fierce Diligence (earns $350, 90xp)

Cons
-After the questline no characters interact with the Greenhouse Thanks to Torin8337 for correcting me on this!
-Beyond the Greenhouse a lot of items you may already have.  Really who needs that many Kodos and Kang Topiaries?

Final Thought:
Premium:
Buy it.  It’s probably the best return for bonus % and income you’ll get for 100 donuts.  It doesn’t come with a character, but it’s still a great value.

Freemium:
In my opinion, I know it doesn’t come with a value, but this is a great buy for freemium players.  It’ll help you boost your conform-o-meter bonus %.  It comes with a lot of great decorations for Springfield, that you most likely don’t have because they’re premium.  And the greenhouse looks really, really cool.  So for me, this is a freemium buy.
Of course I will caution you…don’t burn all of your donuts on this.  EA has been known to do these sales right before an event hits.  So spend wisely…

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you I grabbed this one. Whatever you decide just make sure you do it before the house leaves our games on April 19th…or you might miss out on this one.

Here a look at the initial dialogue that pops up when you buy the bundle, as well as the Turbo Tappin’ version of the walkthrough…

Lisa: Wow, a greenhouse!  Finally after three years of non-stop urban sprawl, someone has come to their senses.
Blue Haired Lawyer: Indeed, Electronic Arts HAS come to their senses and finally taken advantage of the tax write-off for “green-friendly” games.
Homer: Ewwwww!  What the heck?  This donut tastes like crap!
BHL: Also the frosting on all Tapped Out donuts will now be made from ethanol.

  1. The nature bundle is being offered again this valentine’s… I think I am going to pull the trigger this time…
I wonder if this deal is going to be offered later again if I buy it today…
    not a complaint, just a thought…

  2. Sounds like a great deal. Thanks Allisa

  3. Should I get this nature bundle or the street cleaner?

  4. I’m still torn on if i should get this or not. If i had the donuts on hand, it would be a no-brainer, but it has to be a hell of a deal for me to drop for donuts these days with how easy they are to come by these days.

    • oh why not, it’s just money, right? no point working for it if i can’t spend it on something i enjoy.

  5. My goodness. I thought for sure I’d come here and you all would help sway me one way or the other, except it seems most people feel like I do. Could do without a lot of the extras, like the greenhouse. LIke Sandra, I don’t care about the bonus%. (249% ? SERIOUSLY? That is insane…..but I of course started two years late. UGH).

And I wish I had room in the Heights. I keep wondering why we don’t have more room….there and more water. I feel like I’m just covering up all the water and I have half of my SH items in inventory because I just felt I couldn’t make a good design with all those monstrous buildings back to back to back.

Nature bundle……hum…..damn that greenhouse! I want it.

    • A large portion of the 249% is from three large amounts of tennis courts and wailing walls that I got through glitches (or whatever you’d call it). Lotta people here (or at least among the “regulars”) have a higher percentage than I do.

  6. I like the greenhouse but I could pass on the rest. It’s just too pricey for my taste.

  7. Considering its a gil deal, i was pretty dissappointed w the 6.5%. For 100 donuts, u can get 2 jet engine bikes (30ea@2%) and a devil float (40@2.5%) and u get your 6.5% anytime you want. A gil deal should be compelling. 10% or more would have been compelling.

  8. Thank you for posting this, I got the bundle and I’m so happy I did! 🙂 The greenhouse is so beautiful!

  9. At a 6.5% bonus for 100 donuts it was a no-brainer, and I didn’t even know I’d get an extra topiary for playing the quest. Plus a 6-hour premium task for Willie! Makes it a pretty awesome deal for me 😉

  10. I would like to complain online that I had no idea who papadosio is. I had to google it so i learned something, but I thought Otto was a metalhead. I don’t know what kind of “music” that is, but it dang sure ain’t metal.
but seriously I jumped on the nature bundle because I have been wanting a good deal to bump my bonus up some. Up to about 70% now so i am very satisfied with this purchase. I have about 300 donuts left but i’m gonna pass on the other items and see what comes next.

  11. Is there somewhere where you can see what your bonus multiplier is? I can’t decide whether to get this bundle or not but if my bonus multiplier could do with a boost that might help make my decision

  12. I was thnking that the greenhouse would make a great interperative/visitors center for a desert park or something, but now that I’ve seen it up close it’s a bit too ornate.
