Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Wild, Wild West is alive and well in our pocket-sized Springfields!
Loads and loads of stuff with this event…and it’ll last until late May. So TAKE YOUR TIME and Don’t Panic!
It’s live on Android and Kindle. If you don’t see it in your update list try directly searching the App, that’s what I had to do.
As always I’ll be back with more as soon as I play through a bit of it…for now know that it starts off with a 6s task for Lisa followed by a task to build the Town Plaza (Free, also takes 6s). This is then followed by 6s tasks for Apu and 3 Springfielders…Then you’ll need Homer free to start the next part (everything else Auto starts)..followed by more 6s tasks lol. Then you’ll have to build the General Store (also free), and the event itself will start up for you…
Also EA made a BUNCH of improvements to the game…we’ll cover those below as I uncover them myself…
First thing you’re going to notice…before anything else…is the look and feel of the game is a bit different. EA made some enhancements to the look of tasks and the character locator.
(Check mark on the character locator now indicates when the tasks are complete for that character..)
EA does explain it all in a popup…
Also, the little icon next to the tasks above indicates that it’s a visual task…nice improvement. (they must read this site 😉 )
New Land!
A new strip of land has been added at the very bottom of your Springfield (just below where the last strip was added). It runs from left to right, starting at the water.
As of right now you cannot place Dirt on the new land…an odd glitch.
Dirt and Dirt Roads!
Just like pavement, roads & water Dirt and Dirt roads are free! So build to your hearts content…

Ok so now onto the event…
As I mentioned above just about all of the initial tasks take 6s. After you do the first task with Lisa you’ll then be required to build the Town Plaza
Then after several more tasks (all 6s) you’ll be asked to build the General Store
Building the store (which also takes 6s, shocking I know) is what will trigger the Event to launch in your game. So once you’ve built it you’ll see the event explanation screen popup, and your Springfield will change over to event mode…
As you can see Act 1 ends in 14 days…so you have until May 3rd to complete Act 1 (and earn the prizes) before Act 2 starts up…
There’s a little bit of everything with this update….item gathering for prizes, crafting, resource grinding…all stuff we should be familiar with these days 🙂
Let’s start with the basics…the new stuff in the store. Here’s a look at the new store offerings…
Freemium
(I’ll come back and add photos to everything later tonight after I’ve gotten Miss Riley down for bed)
Frontier Fence- $250
Frontier Gate- $500
Both improve Vanity and will be around for the entire Event…
Premium
Entire Event…
Cacti- 15 Donuts
Wild West Film Set & Buck McCoy- 150 Donuts. Earns $135, 15xp. Generates Bandits (which you tap to earn currency)
Leaves when Act 2 ends (May 3rd)
Quicksand- 45 Donuts, adds 2% bonus on all cash and XP
Frink’s Mechano Spider- 130 Donuts. Adds a new job for Frink
Wilted Rose- 60 Donuts. Earns $200, 22xp/8hrs
And now onto the Act 1 prizes…
The currency for Act 1 is Dirt River Drawings Files called them drawings, game calls them clues

Ok guys that you should get you through the first part…my iPod died and I have to go get Miss Riley.. (i still don’t see the update on Android as of this typing). So I’ll be back with more info after a certain little girl has gone to bed…in the meantime, play the questline! It’ll always guide you through everything you need to know 🙂 Now that a certain little girl has decided to go to bed I’m back to updating you guys…
General Store Exchange
After you’ve build the General Store and unlocked the event itself in your game you’ll unlock the ability to do General Store Exchanges. This works similar to the Monorail Event, where you collect resources by sending characters on tasks and turn those resources in for Prize Track Currency and other prizes…
As you can see you can exchange pick axes (and hats) for Clues…and the more you trade in the prizes that you see down below you’ll unlock. So by handing in two projects you’ll earn the rocks you see below.
Make sense? For those that were around for the Monorail, and still do the Rail Yard this will all be very familiar….
Bandits
Continuing to follow along with the questline, the next part you’ll unlock is Bandits….
You can earn more by tapping on Bandits. Bandits will roam around your Springfield and they look like this…
Tapping Bandits will earn you as well as 
and the occasional Prospector…
(we’ll cover those in a minute). Remember and are used at the General Store to get more and unlock other prizes. While are used to unlock your Act 1 Prize track prizes.
In addition to tapping the Bandits roaming around your Springfield you’ll also be able to clear them from hideouts. To clear them from the hideouts, simply tap buildings with the 
over them, in your town.
When you tap the you’ll see them appear outside of the building, i’ve been finding 3-4 bandits per hideout. Simply tap them again to earn the crafting and prize currency.
Clearing Bandits will also upgrade the Plaza..
Upgrading the Plaza will unlock Town Plaza jobs for more characters…in this case Marge. (More characters that have Jobs at the Town Plaza, the more currency you’ll earn…) Upgrading the Plaza will also unlock more Bandits and other things, we’ll cover this completely in an upgrade post later on….
Prospectors
Again, following along with the questline…the next thing you’ll encounter is Prospectors. You can earn Prospectors via tapping Bandits, and you can send Prospectors to other towns to protect your Gold..
When you leave prospectors for your neighbors, they’ll be able to tap them in their own town. They’re actually pretty good..1 can be tapped multiple times. I got 24 pickaxes from 1 on 1 tap and could tap him again. I do not see a benefit to you just yet on them tapping or not tapping them.
So far it just looks like a nice thing to do for your neighbors…
Starting a Craze and Generating Resources…
So a little different with this is you can decide which crafting currency you want to earn from the Town Plaza.
Starting the Craze with Apu will earn you and starting a craze with Homer will earn you . Choose wisely because you can only do one at a time. So if you’re working with Apu and earning , you won’t be able to earn .
To start click on your town Plaza and start a Craze
And decide if you want or
You’ll then be able to send other characters on 4hr tasks to earn the resources…
The characters are the same for both crafting currencies…Homer, Apu, Lurleen, Cletus, Marge, Bart, Buck & you’ll unlock more as you upgrade…(Gummy Joe, Moe, Krusty..)
Story Finales…
You’ll unlock these as you unlock more prizes. But here’s a quick overview…
We’ll cover this more in depth in another post…but basically every act will earn you an animated scene…the finales.

Very old thread I realize… I wanted to use the Frontier Fence (log fence on diagonal legs) in the new land expansion — but I’ve searched and searched and they no long appear for sale? Can you confirm? (I have 9 remaining in storage but hoped to use many more…)
They are not for sale, but can be earned as random prizes from the dig site.
Thanks Safi – and to clarify, you mean the one called “Excavation Site”? (ie, not the “Old Ruins” digging site?) Or is there a third dig site I’ve perhaps stowed away…?
I’ve run the Excavation Site through probably 200 “Shovels” now — and never once got a log fence… plenty of Barrels, Castle Walls and Castle Towers, Dead Tree and Gargoyle / Iron Walls, Hieroglyph Wall, plus Rock Pile and Ruined Wall — but not once the log Frontier Fence in all that time. Which made me wonder if I was using the wrong dig site… (Or if EA has “removed” the Frontier Fence from the dig logic…)
I need some neighbours that are daily players. No players below level 30 please. Thank you!

What was that last mystery prize??
There wasn’t one.
I keep collecting dynamite but I dont have anything left to buy or trade with it. Every thing has been compleated. Any ideashat we will need the dynamite for.
So my new daily task is to capture a wanted bandit. I tap the go to button and it takes me to the icon that says “the town ain’t big enough”. I then tap the ok button and nothing happens. Why is this? I tap on my bandits. Is there something special I’m to do?

It’s not a regular bandit. It’s a buff guy with a rope over his shoulder. Find him and continue to tap on him till he dies.
My western world stopped working and screw all the rest of the actions like the upgrading the reach buildings, this happened about three weeks ago, Apu is stock selling overpriced supplies at the western town since then. Anyone knows how to fix this?, I have uninstalled the game twice already but nothing the same stocked game.

Hi. I want to add neighbours and be added to other people’s neighbours lists. I’ve tapped on every blue thread thingy on these tsto addicts pages and I just get sent around in circles between each version of them. Which is the actual active Add-Me thread thingy/page please? I’m not fussed about whether or not I get graffitied. Having said that, I do however, like receiving prospectors or whatever themed bonus thingy prevails at the time. Please help in directing me to the correct link to receive and be added to as a neighbour. Thankyou for your time.

do i have to complete the last build (i thinks it’s 8 hrs) in order to get the sideshow bob skin? i’m wondering because i might not finish the build before act 1 is over.
Yes. Timer doesn’t matter though, you’ll be fine getting the skin since you unlocked the prize.

Do you have any idea what the icon (looks like a running man with hands in air) next to tasks means? Some tasks has it some don’t.
Animated tasks. In other words…you can SEE them on it.
how do i unlock moe and krusty for the general store? i’ve upgraded as far as it will and it still has not unlocked these two characters. what more do i need to do?
You need to wait until acts 2 and 3 are unlocked
Today’s daily task is to send my Springfielders to the town plaza. But I’m not able to see any tasks in their task lists that would allow me to do that. Is there a trigger event or task I need to complete first?

I’m behind in the act, thinking about skipping one of the prizes by using donuts. I just earned prize 7, the bank and top chop barber shop. To skip ahead and get prize 8 400 hats I can spend 45 donuts. I’m thinking this is an affordable way to catch up. Can anyone inform me of how much it will cost (how many donuts) to skip from prize 8 to prize 9 wes doobners rib hut? I have a feeling it will be in 200 donut range at first.

Hey. Love your page. Just wondering with the new update as well. There is a new icon nect to characters jobs… it looks like a little man getting electrocuted or something. Just wondering what that one is for? Doea it give you extra items for this quest or just a job with more money? Thanks heaps.

Ive noticed an icon next to the time it takes for a character to do a task. It looks like a reverberation artifact of a person. Do you know what this signifies? Its not on each task – only some.

I’m DONE! After playing DAILY for over 2-1/2 years! I’m still getting booted. I’ve freed up space and un/re-installed the app. Not to mention the real $ spent on donuts over this time. Way to go EA. You’ve ruined another great thing. Sort of like POGO.
Has anyone noticed the general store exchange options become larger (but differently named) every time you turn something in?
I can’t play this event. I updated the game, it went fine. Started the game, said not enough space to upload the cool stuff. Wait what?! Then huge cleaning craze to get room for the upload. STILL not enough space. Ugh. Unistalled the game, then istalled it again, thanks to having an account, got my springfield back. It uploaded the event for half an hour, then i finally got to play wild west. Until this morning when i started the game and it said again not enough space for the cool stuff. I don’t get it. How many times does it have to upload something? And i’m pretty sure i have enough space, thank you very much. It’s has to be game, is there some sort of glitch?
You need like 2 gb of space to download it is what we’re finding..
Superb disappointed… Seems to thing I don’t have enough space to update… Despite having around 500mb of free space…. 😖
I can’t turn in product for points like the hats a picks. It boots me out right away. Anyone else have this issue. Very frustrating.

Remember it’s not just device… it’s game content too. Are you pushing 5500 limit? Lots of outdoor animation right now? If so, store it away til event is over.
Both my accounts are pretty neck and neck but one allows The Rich Texan to have a task at the Town Plaza yet the other doesn’t. Really weird.
I’m so annoyed! I only just got the update, it didn’t tell me there was one even though I’ve been playing it every day. This has never happened before 🙁

Got about 11 neighbours who have played recently but still don’t seem to have started the event so you are not alone! Think EA should consider making the start of an event a ‘forced’ update!
Enjoying (???) my first ever EA support call. At 4am my General Store worked fine.
When I started things up again today at 7am, game locked and when I restarted it I (in a 60 second span) had tasks from Deep Space Homer (build launch pad), Exploration Inc, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, and light fire in neighbours towns…. As well as the game letting me build a second Bowl-a-rama and giving me a 120 donut refund from buying it (which I had not done this AM…)
I have a Wild West quest around the jail and my bandits give me revolvers along with hats and picks. My General Store was offering to exchange items to get TNT….
Sounds great, except that after the usual logoff, login, device reset, app delete / reload, where General Store is now offering clues again, game crashes every time I try to exchange picks / hats for clues. Happens on my i-device and android device (when logging into the same account) My b and c games on the same devices work fine.
I did talk to EA at lunch. This ramble is all leading up to the question – for those that have to go through a roll-back to get their town working again, how long does it usually take for this to be completed?

Depends on when they roll it back to, last time they offered that too me it was 48 hours. Keep trying until you get someone else. They got mine taking care of after 5 chats and 9 phone calls. Ask them where they are and if they don’t say Ireland or preferably Texas hang up and request another call back and never ever use chat.

Just happened to me too, don’t know if it fixes itself or what, anyone else have some input? Is it worth calling over, I won’t be able to finish act 1 and the store itemsI turned in for TNT in lieu of didn’t tally up in my count…
What is the new little running man icon next to some of the tasks? Like for Homer, there’s one next to the “play with mypad” task

I have to wait 12h to start this event. I did not know there was one until my sister told me, right after I put Lisa on the task to help Bart (running with the bullies questline). I wish bluestacks told me when an update was available for this.
Not only that but to get the event, I needed to uninstall it, go to IE, go to google play and download it again because bluestacks thinks its not available in the UK.

The general store is a free building you place and can find it in the store….if you don’t see it, contact EA.
