YeeHaw! The Wild West has arrived in our pocket-sized Springfields! With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up! And nothing says Wild West like the Deputy Sheriff, and the Credentials that go along with it. Now I know many of you are trying to decide if this card is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to help you decide what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if the Deputy Credentials are right for you? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of being a Deputy!

What Does it Do?: So, basically this card that helps you earn MORE game currency when tapping Bandits in your neighbors towns. With out the card you’ll earn 1 
per Bandit tapped, or 3 per town . With the Card you’ll earn 2 per Bandit Tapped, or 6 per town. Also, I noticed with the card I earned pick axes AND hats from tapping bandits in neighbor’s towns…from the same bandit. Without the card it’s either or. (it does not increase the amount you earn for those, it just increases that both will appear from 1 bandit)
So basically this will double the amount of game currency you get from visiting friends. This does NOT impact the amount you earn when tapping in your own town.

-Earns double game currency when tapping Bandits in your neighbors towns.
Cons
-EXPENSIVE…
-Not an actual item so once the event is over, it’s gone.

For this event, I’m passing on the card. I just don’t think it’s worth it. Sometimes I’ll pick these up, if I don’t have a ton of time to tap, but lately they just don’t seem worth it to me. I haven’t purchased this type of item in over a year…
Before you purchase/don’t purchase it I would say take a look at how often you can get into TSTO to tap during this event. If you’re a diligent tapper this is something that really isn’t necessary since it’s pretty easy to earn currency throughout the event. However, if you’re someone who won’t be able to get into your town frequently during the event this might be something you want to consider getting. It may only be a little boost, but it can still give you a boost.
Of course, don’t buy it if neighbor visits are difficult for you to make on a daily basis, since that’s the only place it will help you.

Honestly, this is one you may want to pass on. 90 d0nuts is pricey for something that won’t be tangible in your Springfield once the event ends. Plus you can earn currency fairly quickly if you tap frequently. So if you’re a diligent tapper, save your donuts and pass on this one.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do, and this is something I plan on taking a pass on. Whatever you decide, just remember this is one item for the event that’s better the earlier you purchase it. So if you’re on the fence, I’d say try to make your final decision by this weekend…this way you can get the most benefit over the rest of the event!

Stay far away from this one. Unlike other events, you can only get a bonus fron 10 neighbors or less! Not unless the number goes up. Better spend an extra 60 donuts on a premium character.
Seems not worth it any more, since the number of actions decreases all the time. Those were the day, when you could get event currency from all your neighbours.
This time around it has gone down to around 10 neighbours or 30 actions – can anyone confirm? I am always kind of zoning out when I tap neighbours…
Anyway, if it is not even 90 actions any more, it’s definitely not worth buying.

I am kinda curious though on the number of people who actually buy these during events. I mean does it really end up making a difference in the end? If it’s only from visiting neighbor’s doesn’t currency only drop from the first 90 actions?
Seriously, does anyone actually buy these on purpose?
I never get these because I don’t get any item out of it. It would be okay if there was a decoration (even a rather tiny one) that would represent the purchase. It could be a small statue or billboard or even a funky plant. The decoration could even have characteristics that followed the event (i.e. a cowboy hat statue/wild west billboard/special cactus for this event). Examples for past events could be a mini Radioactive Man statue/caped tree; a Rigellian billboard; or for that dreaded Easter event: a golden basket (LOL).
But then they’d get more people to purchase it…even people that didn’t care about the bonus feature.

It would essentially be the purchase of another premium item. The ‘bonus’, in its case, would be a limited time spree (or whatever you’d call it), rather than a cumulative increase in conform-o-meter %.

As long as we are speaking of FRIENDS, sadly I just removed a half dozen. The one that bothered me the most was one that hadn’t played in only 5 weeks. Things happen in life to take one away from this silly game.
The ones that hadn’t played in the last 8 or 10 weeks – sorry, but it takes a whole lot of runs to get “coffee – with cream – runs,” to load ‘your game’ for nothing to clear.
Does it nag at anyone else to eradicate “friends”?
BTW, this is one of the advantages of these events, easily being able to identify those who are falling behind and then check to see if their play is slow or completely absent.
If you add your name to one of the various friend-seeking lists (there are several on this website and on other websites) then you might eventually find that your attitude about dropping inactive friends tends to shift a bit.
I added my own username to a list on another website (before I had discovered this site, mind you… 😉 ) at a particularly opportune moment: they had just closed out the previous version of their list, and I was fortunate enough to be the first person to notice; thus, I was the very first name on the new list. Now I have a fully populated roster of one hundred friends *and* a list of about forty friend requests waiting in the wings, which still grows to this day. I obviously can’t accept any new requests without dropping existing friends… and many of those new requests are probably from new players… who clearly need my friendly taps in their town far more than do any inactive players.
Thus, I tend to prune inactives regularly, and at this point, I experience not a whit of remorse at dropping someone who isn’t even playing the game anymore. (I’ll probably prune again towards the end of this event, since as you observed, leaderboards make that determination much easier.)
What is great about this game is that there is no shortage of getting new neighbours/friends. This site has a great source for players looking to be added. This also means that if feel like “un-friending” any current neighbours for whatever reason, then you can do so and not feel like like your in a sudden shortage of FP or roaming “clickables”. That reason could be because of a certain amount of inactivity (a good reason). Some players will drop others because they tagged a building (The Horror! -sarcasm). Whatever the reason you can always cull the list and add new friends. My limit to inactivity, btw, used to be 4wks, but I’ve mellowed considerably.

No qualms at about removing friends that aren’t playing. But then, my TSTO friends are all just names picked from the Add a Friend section that have accepted my invite vs a real world friend. They are there as part of one of the requirements of the game, nothing more.
Yesterday, I was only getting one friend point for visiting neighbor’s towns. Today, that seems to be fixed, but now I am not getting any game currency. Has that been happening to anyone else?

Maybe so. My friends got split into two groups, which I don’t usually do, so I might have lost track of where I was in my collecting. The 1 FP thing had me worried since I don’t have enough friends to get to that point. I’m sure I’ll get all the prizes even without visiting friends, so I suppose I shouldn’t be too worried. 🙂
Hold up… which game currency? Do you mean in-game cash, or pickaxes/cowboy hats? Because I did observe that for this event, they don’t seem to be awarding both in-game cash *and* event currencies for clicking on bandits… it’s initially pickaxes/cowboy hats, and when you max out on event currency, it switches over to in-game cash.
I actually like that; it’s a more obvious visual clue that you’re done collecting event currency, which is quite useful when you’re just too busy to collect from all of your friends on a given day.
I don’t have a lot of friends, so I don’t have that problem. 🙂
I noticed with the casino event that after every act the price goes down by 30 donuts! Will this happen in this event! Thanks Alissa, I personally don’t get the point with this card but if you don’t have enough time then I guess it’s OK!

Thanks Alissa! I’ve never bought these cards in the past but I might actually pick it up this time. I usually complete the events without any trouble but I’m moving in a week so I might need the extra boost since I will be busy and not be able to get into the game as much as I normally do. I should have cowboy Homer by tonight so I’m moseying along pretty good. I will feel it out. I have to say I thought the Super Hero event was my favorite so far but I am really enjoying this one. It’s a very nice change of pace and the new scenery and decorations are looking good.

As always such cards are a waist of donuts. If you work diligently such are is totally not necessary.
I have a very difficult time getting to neighbors SF. Yesterday I got a cup of coffee – with cream – and back to my desk before the game scrolled to the next town. I’ve about given up on that portion of the game so this is a complete pass for me. Even if I had to buy a final prize I would think it would be a close call and cheaper.
I’ve stopped playing TSTO on my iPad2. So dramatically slow! I bought bottle of Air 📱(quite expensive 💶💶). It’s much better now 🚀
I use BlueStacks Android emulator. The game crashes a couple of times throughout the day, but the neighbor loads are so fast that I won’t do them on my handheld anymore.
