Popping in to give y’all a quick roundup of the latest and greatest bugs impacting our pocket-sized Springfields. (ok some are old…but many of you are noticing them more now..)
So if you’re having a problem with: Missing Neighbors, General Store Crashing, Missing Dirt When Visiting a Neighbor, Where’s Maggie…this is the post for you.
So now let’s get into it, shall we?
Let’s start with a bug many of you may not even realize you have…
Missing Neighbors Glitch
So we’re seeing more and more reports of this in the comments. You suddenly realize you’re missing a neighbor and a lot of you just think someone deleted you. However, it may not be that simple. There is a missing neighbors glitch going around where you can’t see a friend, but they can see you.
Currently, Wookiee is impacted by this. In many of our towns, mine and Bunny’s included, Wookiee is simply missing from our neighbors list. Now we know Wookiee wouldn’t just delete us (especially knowing that we know where he lives 😉 ) , so we approached him about it. He didn’t delete us. In fact he still sees all of his neighbors. Unfortunately, his neighbors don’t see him.
Boom…Missing Neighbor’s Glitch.
If you’re noticing this is happening to you, i.e. you’re missing a neighbor. OR if you notice you’re not getting friend visits…you’re most likely impacted by the missing neighbors glitch.
Resolution: Right now there is no fix for this. EA is aware of the problem and their working on it. If you think you’re impacted my best advice is to contact EA directly. Personally, I always think it’s better to contact directly (as frustrating as it can be) so they can look into your game and see you’re impacted too. At the very least, if you simply don’t want to/can’t deal with EA, add your Me Too to the forum thread, which can be found here.
Frozen General Store/Game Crashes When You Try and “Hand In”
This is a bug that’s impacting more and more of you. You try to hand in resources at the General Store and your game freezes/crashes every. time.
Resolution: If this is happening to you, first know that EA is aware of the problem and they’re working on a patch. Even though they are aware of the problem I still ALWAYS recommend letting them know you’re impacted too by contacting EA directly. Personally, I always think it’s better to contact directly (as frustrating as it can be) so they can look into your game and see you’re impacted too. At the very least, if you simply don’t want to/can’t deal with EA, add your Me Too to the forum thread, which can be found here.
Second, DO NOT PANIC!!! I know it’s frustrating and you feel like you’re miles and miles behind. But, even though it feels like it, you’re not. Continue to collect resources (such as Hats and Pickaxes) and build up those totals. Once it is patched simply turn everything in and you’ll catch right back up to everyone else.
This means that even if it doesn’t get patched until Monday, the day before Act 1 ends, you’ll still be ok. As long as you’ve been collecting your hats and pickaxes for trade ins.
So while it is frustrating…you’re not out of it and as long as it gets patched before Act 1 ends you’ll be able to get all of the prizes (as long as you continue to collect the pickaxes and hats.)
Inability to see Dirt & Dirt Roads in Friend’s towns…
Just as it says, you can’t see dirt while visiting a friend.
Resolution: This is another known issue, and EA is working on it. Even though they are aware of the problem I still ALWAYS recommend letting them know you’re impacted too by contacting EA directly. My Where’s Maggie Game Freezes (or My Timer Is Giving me Less Time Or I’m not Getting Donuts)
Just as it says…the game either freezes on you, you don’t get the donuts you’ve won or the timer appears to be giving you less time.
Resolution: First the timer. If your timer is giving you less time, check to see if you’ve stored buildings recently. As the timer will reduce if you’ve reduced the number of places Maggie can hide.
Missing donuts….on this one, contact EA directly.

Oh and a couple of things to note…since I keep seeing these asked over, and over, and over again in the comments…
This icon:
means visual task. So when you see it in your task list it just means that task has animation that you can see. (we’ve covered it in multiple posts, but more specifically here)
And yes, if you’re down to a short time on your task bar you can speed up the task for free. It’s not a glitch, it is intentional.

My glitch is with Springfield Downs. The next time I can race is as of now… 24,855 days and 3 hours or for 30million plus doughnuts. I should reach out to EA I’m guessing.

I am having issues completing one of Homer’s quests from the past wild west update. I completed the first task with the buried treasure but now nothing is popping up. Its still just a pile of dirt and no characters are starting the next part of the quest. Anyone having the same issues??
It’s because the event is over. You’re not able to complete it as you originally could
How do I know what level I am o. In the googolplex? It shows I can play a movie (the first one) but no levels are showing. I don’t want to spend money if it’s not going to level me up.
You’ll need to finish the Level 60 questline in order to play
First I should say that I’m playing this game anon on my Kindle. My problem is that I’ve lost Kang. I need him to complete a quest for Carl’s Dads Caverns, but can’t actually click on him or actually see him. A window will randomly pop up to tell me he’s finished a job and his icon has a check mark next to it, but I can’t see him or click him. If I click the icon, I get sent to some random green area that I can’t move out of. I’ve tried everything I’ve seen in forums …any advice?
Every tip i would have for you would require you to have an EA/Origin Account…so you don’t lose your progress.
I’m getting a glitch with the Googolplex. When I click on PLAY MOVIE, no options show up. Consequently, I’m not able to complete the quest to get the Homer mountain.
Yep separate things. Homer mountain is the last part of the level 60 questline. The plex unlocks for movies after you’ve finished the level 60 questline. So what’s currently in your taskbook?
After getting all the event loot, like usual there is the ability to get bonuts… But after one round the ability is no longer available. Maybe it is how it is designed but they usually don’t do that.
I know it’s not your fault. And I’m sure you’re just too busy to read every post I’ve written…but for the 1 millionth time (literally) there are no donuts. None. Not even a little bit. There is absolutely NO way to get bonus donuts from collecting TNT. It doesn’t exist. Not with this event.
Hi, my sister and I both keep getting the ‘Your device is full’ message despite having over 1gb free on each device. This message prevents us from playing the game.
Uninstall completely and reinstall…as long as you have an EA/Origin Account

Im in Act 3….the 3 boxes in the General Store suddenly greyed out and will not allow me to trade in. It does not crash as others have seen, it is just all greyed out

I just got the first prize the water tower and as I went to place it the game crashed. When I came back no water tower. I continued collected no and got the next prize gold coins but still no tower. Anyway I can get this?
Are you sure it’s not in your inventory? Check your ENTIRE inventory…the full scroll list when you first hit your inventory.
Checked inventory and it is not there. Restarted the game and still not there.

I’m not sure if it counts as a problem, but is anybody able to place older decor onto dirt ? I am able to put the newer stuff like the Old West stuff and also the Whacking Day stuff into dirt, like the snake rocks and logs, etc. is this going to be permanent? I would like to maybe try out some older decor to spruce up my west land
Hello! I have been unable to receive my quest for donuts after achieving all of my objectives for Act II of the the Simpsons Old West. My wife has two quests and she said she didn’t have to do anything special. Can anyone help?
Because….as I’ve said many, many, many, MANY times…there is no quest for donuts. There are no donuts after you win all of the prizes.
The only donuts you can get are available today via the General Store, and only achievable by handing in resources. It just unlocked today regardless of where you are in Act 2, it’s on a timer to unlock today.

My act 2 corral and princess achievement will not let me collect it even though I have more than the required 33320 badges needed for it. It says I need -15(negative 15) donuts to unlock it. Can anyone help?
Ugh. My game is Crash City lately. Like crashing 5-6 times in less than 10 minutes. Sometimes it crashes while it’s loading. I’ve been super-busy IRL lately, but so I haven’t been able to read through all of the comments on the threads. Is anyone else having this issue? I even un/reinstalled to no avail. And I know it’s not a memory issue – I have over 2 GB free on my device.
*bangs head against desk* And this, in case any neighbors of mine see this, is why I haven’t been visiting neighbors lately. The crashing is even worse during neighbor visits. I’ve got 400 prospectors to send to neighbors’ towns now. *frustrated sigh*

I have the game on my iPod and kindle and on both it says the other device didn’t save your game. I deleted the game off of both devices and reinstalled but still saying the same thing. What do I do?
Don’t worry. No big deal. I see it all the time. It just means that you left the game too soon and it still thinks you are in there. Happens with one device. Happens with multiple. Just play anyway and continue on. 😉

Hi all!
I’m having a really strange problem & I’m not sure where to post it. TL;DR : I lost all of my progress on Act 1 and Springfield Heights and I’m not sure how to get it back. :/
Details:
So I play my game on 2 “devices” (emulator and my tablet). Whenever I switch between devices I get the error message to save on the other device to prevent data loss. On Friday, I did not get this message and I found that all of my progress on Act 1 was lost (General Store, Prizes, Prospectors and “Once Upon a Time in Springfield”). But, all of the prizes that I earned & traded in were still present (I ended up missing out on Wes Doobner and the 400 Hats prizes). I also can’t finish the Once Upon a Time task beyond level 3 (can’t Make Springfielders Buy Overpriced Supplies). So I’m stuck.
SH – My highest progress In the Heights was the Ziff Mansion. Now I only have 2000 real estate points (sent Cookie out 2x) and all of my materials are reset to 0. I can’t make anymore (I’m guessing because the quest line doesn’t pop up since it was previously completed).
I’ve already contacted EA: suggestions – Uninstall/reinstall game & allow it to sync with the servers (did this several times on both devices and didn’t work). When I called EA, they couldn’t find anything wrong with my game…the only advice that the guy had was to reset my device….
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do or a way to better explain my predicament to EA??

Best thing to do is wait until tomorrow after 9am Eastern, as long as you’re in the us and do the call option to EA….

Tell them your game rolled back all of the suggestions aren’t helping and you need a previous save reloaded to your game.
If you don’t get someone in the US, hang up and try contacting them again. Keep trying until you get someone in the US.
I’m having difficulty trying to contact EA. When I go to ea.com help I keep getting sent to the Forums but I don’t think that is going to help me with my problem. All the audio is gone from my game. I have tried all the usual fixes including uninstall/reinstalling the game and nothing works. Any idea how I can contact EA directly? Thanks.

I am stuck on A Fist full of brothers part 2. The quests for Snake and for Sprinfielders to promote lawlessness have not appeared. I’ve deleted and re-installed to no avail. Where do I go from here?

(Spoiler Alert/Unknown Glitch)
I think I saw a “glitch” that I wasn’t supposed to see. When I was loading the regular TSTO buy items store, I noticed several (really cool) items for purchase that hadn’t been there just moments before clicking the items store icon. Not realizing that this was a glitch, I closed the store out (probably to find a clear spot to place these cool new items) but to my avail, when trying to open the store again a dialogue box immediately came up stating something along the lines of: “sorry for the inconvenience, here’s 15 free donuts,” and sure enough the donuts were given. Sadly, thereafter, the game crashed, and there were no more cool new items. I did catch a glimpse of a very cool character for Maggie named “Prairie Maggie?” I don’t recall the exact items, but several were redeemable with TSTO money (I hate spending donuts!) I wonder if these items will be in Act 3…? I believe they might be considering this glitch happened very close to the opening of Act 2. I’m excited to wait and find out!!! -TSTO Addict, ClayseSB
My game jumped to the third week of the Wild West act
I have an odd thing happening now and then. Sometimes when I click on prospectors that a neighbor has left, it does NOT tell me who left it. Is this a known glitch?

I lost Sideshow Bob. When I scroll in the Town Hall Census to find him, it give me the image of Wes Doobner. When I choose the name “Sideshow Bob” it takes me right to Wes Doobner. BTW, if I scroll to try to find Wes Doobner, he’s not even listed in the list

Is anyone else unable to do today’s daily quest? It’s saying ‘locked’ but the picture doesn’t show a padlock & it’s normally available by now.

For some reason it decided to start working again about 5 mins ago! Hopefully it was just one of those things & it won’t happen again.
I’m not sure it this has been addressed but I don’t have dirt or dirt road available to construct. Is this a glitch?

try scrolling down, the dirt is under the water, pavement, road on the sidebar.
I can’t send Snake on a task to promote lawlessness. I can see it as an option, but when I tap the town plaza, it doesn’t appear there as well as in Snake’ own task menu. Does anybody have this problem too?
Do you have someone else doing a craze? Are you making hats? or Pickaxes? You can only do 1 craze at a time.
Visually all of my minor decorations are at the front and my characters and buildings are behind so I can barely see anything. Very frustrating
