YeeHaw! The Wild West has arrived in our pocket-sized Springfields! With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up! So bust open the vaults and grab those donuts because there are loads of new Wild West themed premium items in our stores!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Wilted Rose to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Old Folks Brothel to your town.
Building/Decoration: Wilted Rose

Pros
-Comes with a questline
-Hilarous 4hr animated task for Agnes
-Fits nicely with the western look if you’re doing a western area in your town
Cons
-Adds no value to the event itself, no currency bonus, no bandit spawns
-Agnes’ task does not, currently, pay at a premium rate

So here’s the deal with this one…the only value it adds to your Springfield (besides the cash and XP..which most Premium Players don’t care too much about) is the hilarious animated task for Anges. So this is one of those, if you like it get it items for me. It’s not a bad buy, certainly better than Frink’s spider that’s for sure!
Freemium:
Honestly, pass on this one. It’s not going to add much value to your Springfield and you’re going to get a ton of Wild West themed buildings throughout the remainder of the event. So I would pass on this and save those donuts for some premium characters coming down the pike…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do. And I can tell you I will probably end up picking this up before Act 1 ends, but I’m still on the fence just a bit. Whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games on May 3rd.

Wilted Rose Building – I would consider buying this towards the end of Act 3 (of this Event), however, EA just committed an epic fail by making this building available for a limited time only (during Act 1)! Tappers should be getting plenty of Freemium Buildings during this Event (60 Donuts is a nice price, though, but Im not spending Donuts now and no other Premiums available interest me!)
Just thought I should let you know that there isn’t a link to this page with the other “Should I Spend Donuts On” pages on the main Wild West Event Page. I was also wondering if there’s one for the quicksand? or if anyone has an opinion on it, I looked thru lots of comments but only saw one person who said they bought it for the animation. Thanks 🙂

Did you get the quicksand? I’m thinking about getting it too but now sure since I’m freemium. but I have saved up a bunch.
I got it, I wouldn’t exactly say I regret it, but it’s a lot smaller than I was thinking & I don’t really think the animation is as funny as the comment I read made it out to be…I wanna make sure I have enough stuff to make my Wild West area look filled out, so that’s really the only reason I don’t fully regret it.
I bought it. Good looking little western building for a wild west strip of street. No regrets, and I’m mostly a “Freemium” player.
I bought it and don’t regret it. If you want to make a decent western town in your band lands you’re going to need the buildings to flesh it out. Fairly cheap for a building, animated, actually has a task (which is more than we can say about a good deal of the premium buildings they offer us) but, mostly, it’s just not a western town without a brothel 😉

Seriously, Agnes justifies every sprinkle. Note how I attempt to justify every doughnut purchase. I’m still trying to come up with a reason to justify that 200 doughnut Gil deal.
Don’t do it…it only encourages them. 😉
It’s so plain, it almost looks like one of the Tetanus terminal add on pieces. If it was prettier or had a really cool sign I might’ve bought it but it’s so blah. And I don’t care to see Sagnes lettin it all hang out 😉
I’m holding out for other buildings (hopefully quest-line/event rewards). Just saw the bandit stronghold, courtesy of good ol’ Gil – it’s pretty big, and 200 donuts is a bit much… Going to wait for the Additc’s SISD article on this one 😉
It’ll probably be up tomorrow (i’ll try for later today, but work’s a little crazy)…but it’s not worth it. (IMO)
Thought as much – I’m generating more than enough bandits at the moment that I’ve finished this act already… Plus with it being the size it is, I’d rather use the space for a variety of buildings than just the one!
This has been a “meh” building for me since I first saw it in the store. Meh.
Hmm, a lot of items (if not all) are a pass for you I see. I hope Act 2 will bring better stuff.
