Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Wild West is alive and well in our Springfields! As the Wild West Event has hit our games and it’s full of old west inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Clues (
) to unlock each prize!
The ninth (and final) Act 1 prize is awarded at 25,580 is Wes Doobner & his Rib Hut, because the Old West needs a villain!
So let’s take a closer look at this ninth prize and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 25,580you’ll automatically be awarded Wes & his Rib Hut and you’ll see this message popup:
As always, you’ll have the option to place or store Wes & the Rib Hut. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.
You will have to place and build (takes 8hrs) the Rib Hut in order to unlock Wes. Once you’ve built the Rib Hut and Wes arrives in Springfield you’ll see his character unlock message:

Wes comes with his own questline, and it’ll start right up for you. This is one you can work on, until you need a character for currency in the Town Plaza. (unless of course you’ve completed Act 1 and are waiting on Act 2 to start..)

What’s Next?
Patience. That’s what’s on the menu now. Patience. There are no bonuts for this Event, so there’s no need to go crazy handing in clues. (we covered this here) So just have patience in waiting for Act 2 to start up. 🙂
After you’ve unlocked Wes, here’s what you need to do….each day (until Act 1 is over) you’ll need to complete 4 hand ins at the General Store in order to unlock each days prize. (remember Day 14 is bonuts!) So, just do the smallest possible hand in you can do to unlock the prize.
After you’ve unlocked the prize for the day, there is no point in continuing to earn clues (i.e. trading in items at the General Store). So save those resources, pick axes and hats. I’m not 100% sure they’ll be around in Act 2, but it does not hurt to save them, just in case. (especially since there’s no bonuts)
So, bottom-line? After you’ve unlocked all of the Act 1 prizes, trade in 4 sets of resources (the smallest value) each day to unlock the General Store Prize. After that hoard your resources (Pickaxes and hats) until Act 2 starts up on Tuesday.
So that my friends is the full breakdown of the final Act 1 prize!

Question- I didn’t quite get to prize 8 for Act 1, and I’ve been debating spending the donuts to get it and prize 9, but before I do that I’d like to have an idea how many donuts prize 9 is – any clue?
The image on this post shows the price for Prize 9..375 donuts. I can only assume it’s the same price now
Not sure if this was mentioned earlier but Space Mutant also counts as a glutton. This helped me to keep currency earning characters free.
Did anyone else miss out on Wes’s Rib but because the game skipped a day?
I remember when i could play tap out very casually. Have a life. Not being stuck on my phone.
Yet another disappointing event. I’m going to give up on all events if this honestly keeps up. I stayed up til 4 in the morning. Spent waaay too much donuts and im still short for the last prize. Again. Since Recycling event this game went down the toilet.
Why cant this game go back to being casual? No mindless 2 or 4 hour shift tasks.
I can remember MANY Events I was glued to my phone. Whacking Day 2013 comes really strongly to mind. 😉
I liked Wacking Day. This isn’t the same. The limiting of prizes to time sections of the event is the part I have issues with. I bought several characters and still didn’t get the last item on week 1. Continuing to play the event does nothing to help me get the one character item I wanted on week 1.
The missing of that item leaves a bitter taste for the rest of the event.
Whacking Day you TOTALLY depended on your neighbors. Constant grind in the game daily. Mechanics may not be the same… but the “you have to participate and play to get things” still is in existence in the game since 2012. Some just may not seem as rough as others. This one… if you DON’T tap multiple times daily and your friends don’t help with Prospectors… same as Eggs in Whacking Day, you may not make it to the end items.
I see there is an update, I am so close to getting Wes but think I will run out of time. Will I be able to finishe if I do not do the update?
You have until 0800 GMT (4am EDT) to get Wes. There is no way to delay that…

This might have been asked earlier in the thread, but does anyone know if you have to finish all of the associated quest lines before the time for Act One runs out? I am three hours away from completing the build in Wes Doobners Ribs. I want to make sure I don’t have to complete any associated quests before Act Two begins.

Is it possible to earn 12,000 clues in 48 hours without cheating? One of my neighbours had done this and im scratching my head as to how.

Damn. Did not notice it’s a costume for Sideshow Bob. Had him outsourced…
do we need to spend our pickaxes and cowboy hats tonight, or will they still be valid tomorrow. I don’t want to burn them up tonight if i can use them tomorrow for the daily challenge or to get the daily prize. But i don’t to sit on them and have them be worthless tomorrow. I see in the prospector screen that says which friends helped you, there are 2 more options below the pickaxe and hat. .

I sadly may not be able to get this one in spite of visiting my neighbors’ Springfields a few times a day. I’m kinda bummed because I did so well on the few previous events. Ah well. I’m still having loads of fun with all the western stuff. ☺
Anyone get the quest that says “more clues”! I got it after I built the rib hut. It says 0/1500. If I collect 1500 clues will I get bonuts??
