  1. In my Quests bar on the left, I have an icon and I don’t know what it’s all about. It’s a partly closed box. You tap it, and the icon changes to a mostly open box containing a doughnut, an Oscar award, and something blue-green. Nothing happens (you don’t get the doughnut or the oscar or anything–the icon just changes). You tap it again, and the box closes again. Mine also has a “1” in a red circle to the lower left of the icon. What is this supposed to be telling me?

    • It is your “Task Storage” container. That way if you have a LOT of open Tasks in your game… it helps to minimize them by putting them in the box. You tap the box to expand it and see the other tasks, tap it again to close it back up. The number indicates the Tasks stored… so only one is in there.

  2. I just got a huge 6 donut reward from the daily tasks after dismissing a 32 gun earning task.
    Woohoo!! 😄
I’ve been getting donut earning tasks for the last few days when I dismiss an event currency task. I guess my luck will run out soon.😦

  3. On some of the character tasks there is like a speed symbol or shadows what does this mean

  4. I seem to be stuck in EA glitchness again…
    I cannot see whom Prospectors I tap…

    • I’m getting that as well and it’s really bugging me as I like to return the favour to my neighbours that help me out, so if I miss anyone I haven’t forgotten you I just don’t know they are from you 😊

  5. Have been trying to maintain a “boardwalk” with all the new buildings, pity the designers of each building didn’t collaborate, you can tell with the mis – matched corners and “road-end-points”…

  6. Liking the dirty addition to Springfield, have found most appropriately designed buildings and decorations can be under – pinned with dirty goodness! Have already spread dirtiness around the town…
Although I must admit the dirt roads are a bit hard to incorporate…
Thanks to all neighbourinos for prospecting with alarcity, I’ve been try to share the prospectingnessmous as much as possible, but seem to be stuck with minimal prospecting myself, only 10-15 ish a day.

    • Just went to your town to drop off a bunch, but your counter was at 0. Will try again later! 🙂

  7. My beautiful cat, Samantha, died on Thursday. She was blind, deaf, had arthritis and a heart murmur. I had to have her euthanised because her quality of life was not good.
She was 17 years old (about 85 cat years) so had a good long life. I will miss her very much.
    RIP Samantha😪

    • My heart aches for your loss, you do realise the age old dilemma that you have raised though, don’t you?
To euthanise or not to euthanise? Do you let them die naturally? How much pain are they really in?
I don’t know how I could possibly make that decision with any of my cats… is that foolhardy, stupid or what? I honestly don’t know.
I recently had a situation where one of my cats, Mistig a 8 month old blue tabby boy had his life taken from him, it happened within half an hour of me coming home from the supermarket, he seemed perfectly normal until I looked out the back door after feeding his sister and the rest of my adopted strays with some roast chicken I brought home with me, and there he was lying dead on the back lawn.
Why did he die I will never understand, which makes it even harder to move on from.
There are so many questions that go through your mind when you lose one of your friends who has given you their unconditional love and trust.
Your Samantha looked like a beautiful friend, at 17 years I can only imagine she had had a beautiful life, albeit short.
She looked very pretty, I too can only wish her peace at rest.

      • bogancatlady

I’m sorry to hear that smeggling

      • Thanks for your condolences. So very sorry to hear about your cat who was so young to die. You must have been absolutely devastated. I can’t imagine how upset you must have been.
Samantha was a stray too and had a tough life before we took her home with us. We met her on a farm where we were staying for a weekend and the owners didn’t want her. She was living off the fat left over on the barbecue. We don’t really know how old she was. The local vet said between 5 & 7 years but she looked much younger to me. I’ve based her age on how long we have had her (14 years) plus 3. She could have been 21, I don’t know.
I really didn’t intend to open up a debate on euthanasia. That wasn’t the reason for my post but somehow I feel the need to justify my decision to you.
I had my reasons for choosing euthanasia for Samantha. I didn’t want to prolong her misery. If I had been her I would have chosen that for myself and I would expect my family to do the same for me. My 83 year old mother has reiterated time and time again that I am to choose euthanasia for her if her health is so poor that there is no enjoyment left in her life. She’s very active and healthy so I hope that time is a long way off. Hopefully her death will be quick and there will be no need to choose this for her.
I assume that you are against euthanasia. I wouldn’t call you foolhardy or stupid. I respect the fact that whatever decision you make regarding euthanasia for your pets is something that you and only you have to live with. I do not judge you for that and certainly hope you are not judging me. It’s very much a personal choice. I have lived with Samantha for most of her life. I knew when she was happy and for the last part of her life, she wasn’t.
She did have a beautiful life. I made sure of that. She was part of our family.

        • Please, there was no criticism or judgement intended, far from it.
I was merely expressing my thoughts on the immense pressure you must have been under to have to make the decision you did. I am neither for or against euthanasia, I believe it is an individual decision that must be made in some circumstances, but to take a life is not a decision to be taken lightly, I personally would hate to be in that position, maybe that makes me weak as I know I would have to battle my emotions… enough pondering.
You obviously loved Samantha very much and I’m sure that love was reciprocated, I’m so glad you were able to have the vet come to your home, something I hope to do, if and when necessary as I feel that to take any of my cats away from their home to die would be out of the question. I think I would see it as a betrayal of my love for them, and their trust in me.
One of my black moggies is similar in facial features to your Samantha, but she is a long hair, another is a short hair and the other is a tuxedo. Mistig’s sister is a brown tabby and then there is a grey tabby ( I used to have eight) but even though I didn’t choose them I think I have a greater fondness for the black ones.

Thanks for replying, oh and the name is Iain.

          • Hi Iain, I’m sorry I misread your post. I guess I’m feeling extremely sensitive at the moment. You are obviously a massive cat lover. I’d love to see some pics 😸

          • I took my cat to the vet to be euthanized and didn’t feel that that was a “betrayal.” He was so listless and out if it that I think he was ready to go. (I realize that I may have been projecting, but he honestly didn’t even seem distressed when we put him in the box, like he normally would be.) The vet gave him a shot and I stroked him until he fell asleep for good.

    • justinmwat151

Sorry for your loss. I’ve been there and know it isn’t easy.

      • Thankyou, Justin. No. It wasn’t easy at all. In fact, I think she suffered for longer than she needed to because it hadn’t crossed my mind until the vet mentioned euthanasia. It was the kindest thing to do for her. The vet came to our home because I didn’t want her to be unnecessarily stressed out as she always is when I take her there. She would know as soon as I put her in her travel box where she was going and the last few times I took her to the vet she had to have injections to ease the pain of her arthritis and antibiotics for bladder infections. I wanted to make it as quick and stressless for her as possible.

        • Honey, you did the right and loving thing to do, it’s a heart wrenching decision, I know I’ve been there with dogs. I have a great vet who helps with decisions and he is so loving, he swore he would never put an animal down unless there is absolutely no hope so hope that brings a little comfort. I lost my Buzz(dog) in October he had cancer for 3 & 1/2 years and wasn’t suffering in fact he enjoyed those years. I made him homemade dog food after a lot of research on natural cancer fighters, vet approved recipe. He was given 6 months at most so we were blessed with the extra time. Not only did I love him he was my healer when hurt or sick. I knew when the end was near and he was suffering. I was eye level with him and was last thing he saw, it was painless for him and ended his suffering.Mine however was just beginning. I still miss him, but I don’t question my decision foe one moment and neither should you. Also a year before that had to put my Yorkie down, was my soul, I thought I would die. I asked my vet what can I do to honor Buster, he said go rescue a Yorkie now! I thought he was crazy, but like I said I love my vet been with him 16 years, so my husband located a abused silky who looked nothing like Buster, I said No! The two of them talked me into going to se him, everyone here knows him, he is my Handsome Hank, he is so loving and grateful to be in a “safe” house.

          • Hi Cindy, what a distressing time you have had. It’s so upsetting that a pets lifespan is shorter than ours. Although I think it would be worse somehow to die and have to leave a pet mourning for you. They don’t understand death the same way that we do. Apparently we humans are the only species who know that our own death is inevitable.
It always upsets me much more when I hear of an animal being mistreated than a human for some reason. Maybe it’s because animals are so dependent on us for their wellbeing.
HH is a very lucky little guy to now be with you.
On a happier topic of conversation, how is your move going? We’ll have to have a virtual housewarming for you when you get to California. 🎈🎉🔑
            Sue

            • Hi Sue, happy Mother’s Day!
The packing is slow and overwhelming mostly because of back grrrr. My poor lil furry babies are very accused with all packing and people coming and taking away stuff. I can’t wait till this is over. Probably will still be couple of months.
Husband took my jeep which has 148,000 miles on it (jeeps will go for 200,000-300,00 if taken care of). They found $1,300 worth of repairs that need to be done. I’m a lil nervous about me and boys in vehicle with that mileage alone across country, but new car not in budget with all other moving costs. I’m hanging in there, I go between sad, leaving his parents and FL beaches to being happy to be going back home to CA where I belong. Also know long ride won’t be easy on back plus lifting doggies in and out of car. Hubby will be driving his car, but my boys are Moma boys, especially Hank would be upset if not with me, Bogey is closer to Dave so maybe once we get going he can ride with him on & off.
I’m trying to focus on what needs to be done and not look at big pic. I think a welcome to CA celebration here is a great idea, thank you. The support I get from all the addicts on this site is awesome, you guys keep me going.

    • Sincere condolences and hugs….I’ve been there myself, and I know what a difficult thing this is. She had a good long life (thanks to you) and a merciful death, so perhaps there is at least a little consolation to be found in that.

      • Thanks, Sandra. Yes, there is some consolation knowing that she was very much loved and that was the reason for euthanasia, to give her the least painful death possible. You have mentioned before that your cat was the ripe old age of 22. That’s a very long life for a cat and he/she must have been a huge part of your life. I’ve never had to have a pet euthanised before and hope I won’t need to again.

        • Yes, I got my kitty from the shelter when he was just 6 weeks old, so we spent pretty much his whole lifetime together. My at-the-time boyfriend spotted him in the cage of kittens first and we chose him because he looked bright and curious and willing to connect (IYKWIM) and was incredibly cute. I can still remember this baby kitty climbing up my pants leg with his little needle-like claws when I was standing at the kitchen counter getting ready to feed him, lol! I have sins really nice pictures of him from when he was around 3 or 4 years old, but one of my biggest regrets is that I never took any pictures of him when he was still a kitten. (Picture taking wasn’t quite as easy and automatic back in 1981.) He was an incredible jumper…I do have a picture in which I was standing on top of a bar stool (in my apartment) dangling a cat dancer and he’s leaping all the way up to touch it. Granted, I’m very short, but still…

I really miss having a cat and if, god forbid, anything were to happen to my husband, I’d probably get another cat pretty soon after.

          • *some, not sins

          • Oh and I’m with you on the topic of euthanasia…pointless suffering is, well, pointless. Animals (including humans) should not be forced to live in misery and people should have the right to do with their own life as they choose (although I’m okay with some level of intervention being required before that, so that decisions aren’t made in haste and, possibly, in irreversible error).

          • I know what you mean about photos. I can’t blame the 80s, I’m just hopeless at taking pictures. I always forget. Samantha used to play soccer with me, batting around a ping pong ball with her paws. She would jump into the bean bag to find it and the ball would get lost in the folds. It was the funniest thing. I still have some nice long claw marks in the curtains where she tried to climb up them. That was a long time ago. I think I’ll miss having a cat too. Do you have to wait till your husband dies to get another one?
I’d love to see your pictures if you have the time to post them. 💕😄 Sue

            • Yes – no cat while my husband is still with me for two reasons… First, he’s actually allergic. Second, he doesn’t get the whole “it’s better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all thing” – even thing it took him a while to warm to my cat when my husband first joined us, by the end they were well bonded and he can’t deal with going through that loss again. Short of getting a Galapagos tortoise (and my house is way too small for that 😉 ), I think pets are out of the picture for my husband.

As for pictures… He died before I ever had the ability to take digital pictures of him (he’s been gone for about 12-13 years now), so I’d have to scan them. Maybe at some point I’ll get around to that.

    • I’m so sorry about your kitty. It is so hard to lose our furbabies. Sending you lots of hugs.

    • bogancatlady

My deepest condolences suerees. What a gorgeous cat she was and sorry that you had to make that difficult decision. I can imagine how hard it must be to lose your four legged friend especially after 17 years together. I feel for your loss :(. Big virtual hug for you

    • I’m so sorry for your loss! I know how hard it is to lose a fur-baby. I’ve had to euthanize two of my kitties and one dog (in my adult life). The hardest was my cat Smokey who was only 12 on Christmas morning. She was my baby and wanted nothing to do with anyone else if I was there. That was 10 years ago and I still have her Christmas stocking and cry every year when I hang it.

      • Oh no! how sad for you at Christmas😪 I really feel for you. The thing with cats is that they don’t just befriend anyone. They choose you.
So sad to lose your cat at what should be a joyous time of the year.
I remember an absolutely beautiful moment with Samantha lying stretched out on the sofa with her and feeling so much love for her and her purring so loudly. I’m sure my feelings for her were reciprocated then.
Hope your Christmases are happy from here on❤️ Sue

    • I’m so sorry to hear your news ♡

We’ve got two…used to be three but he’s now buried in the garden and we still don’t know how he died! It’s very distressing to loose a pet under any circumstances *hugs*

      • Thanks so much, Brooders. So sorry for your loss. Did you get your cats at the same time. How do they get along with each other? I believe that cats are fairly solitary animals and they need to be brought up together to be able to get along. My sister-in-law has several, all adopted at various times and they each have their own little territory in the house. ❤️ Sue

    • Suerees I’m so sorry, the loss of a beloved animal is a horrible pain. All the words in the world won’t help, but know I’m thinking about you.
      Hugs❤️

  8. Has anyone else seen a serious decline in prospectors with act 2? I am getting about half as many to give as I did with act 1. I have tapped every four hours, religiously….and I get maybe 5 TOTAL to give away. Total conundrum.
