Update: Now that i’ve been able to get back in, I’ve updated the post below with a few more bits of info. The update of this post now explains WHY you can’t get Snake to do the task at the Town Plaza & about the Wanted Bandits. Also, some of you are confused about a “mystery prize” in the General Store after Day 14’s donuts…that’s covered below as well.
Servers are having issues…I’ve been booted 5 times now. Info is best I can get you for now…I’ll update anything I need to once it’s not 4am 😉
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Welcome to the wee early morning hours…at least here on the East Coast. It’s just after 4am…and the showdown begins at dawn! So much for high noon! Act 2 of the Wild West is upon us…so have at it my friends!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Things should auto-start for you with a task for to build the Jail, you’ll need 5 Springfielders for 30 seconds. This is then followed by a quest for Snake (4hrs), Wiggum (2hrs) & Springfielders who can go to the Town Plaza…
Just what does Act 2 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
Update: Snake’s Task at Town Plaza
Seeing reports from many of you saying you can’t get Snake to do his task at Town Plaza. Please keep in mind that this isn’t an ordinary task, this essentially the new “craze”. So if you’re currently earning Hats or Pickaxes (i.e. Homer is getting people Riled Up or Apu is Selling Supplies) you WILL NOT be able to do Snake’s task.
In order to do the task you’ll need to select it from the list at town plaza:
If you don’t see the Start a Craze option, it means you’re doing another craze at the moment and once you’ve cleared that task you’ll be able to select another.
It will not be in Snake’s task list. It’s ONLY accessible via Town Plaza. And ONLY if you don’t have Homer or Apu doing a Craze.
New Prize Currency for Act 2..
Deputy Badges…because as Sheriff Woody says, “you’re my favorite Deputy!” (you’re welcome DaPimp…)
So the ability to earn Clues is now gone. (so none of us have a Clue…) Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to 0..because you have 0 Deputy Badges. So forget about the Clues and now it’s time to start over Deputy Badges.
You’ll earn Deputy Badges the same way you earned Clues in Act 1…
-Tapping Prospectors (and sending them)
-Hand Ins at the General Store….(tasks at the Town Plaza)
Act 2 Personal Prizes
200 Revolvers- 1,910
Ordnance Express- 3,890
400 Hats- 5,870
Outlaw Snake- 9,200
200 Revolvers- 14,960
The Kid with No Name- 20,720
800 Pickaxes- 27,020
Corral and Princess- 33,320
Act 1 Prizes…
F you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT ONE PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at. (just like every other event)
New Currency For Trading in at the General Store…
As I’m sure you gathered from the prize list above, there’s a new item to trade in at the General Store….Revolvers
Pickaxes and Hats are still around, the Revolver just adds another depth to everything. We’ll break it all down in a new General Store post for Act 2…
You won’t see these until after you build the Jail…
New Items in the Store..
Cow Tongues- $45,000
A couple of new premium items have dropped…
Hootenanny Barn & Luke Stetson– 100 Donuts
Old Mine- 180 Donuts
Hitched Horse from Act 1 is also available for 25 Donuts (no bonus %)
Characters that Have Tasks..
Same as act 1…
Homer, Apu, Lurleen, Cletus, Marge, Bart, Buck, Gummy Joe, Rich Texan, Belle…as you upgrade you’ll unlock Moe, Krusty & Wiggum. Also if you purchase Luke he’ll have a task as well.
In addition Snake will now be able to start a Craze to earn Revolvers.
Again, we’ll break this all down in detail when it’s not the crack of dawn here 😉
Update: Big Bad Bandits
New element added with this Act is the Big Bad Bandits.
I’ve got to do some research on the spawn rates etc, but you’ll see them roaming your town and they look like this:
Tap them and you’ll get currency…and he’ll turn red and run really fast (like the Leprechaun does)
You cannot tap him when he’s running, but stay with him because he’ll slow down and you’ll be able to tap him again. Tap 4 times (from my experience) to completely clear the Big Bad Bandit.
I’ll further break this down in another post…but there’s the basics on it.
Update: “Mystery Prize”
A number of you are confused about what happened after day 14’s donuts in the General Store. You thought there was a Mystery Prize, but were never awarded anything….mostly because you saw this:
That Up Next! Is not a Mystery Prize. It’s just a teaser for Day 1 of Act 2. Which does not start until Act 2 starts. Now that Act 2 has started, there is a Day 1 for Act 2.
I promise you didn’t miss anything. There was no Mystery Prize…it was just a teaser to let you know more was coming when Act 2 hit.
It’s even there again at the end of Act 2…to let you know more is coming when Act 3 hits…
And before you ask…
Here’s a list of posts we’re working on that should be up soon…
-Act 2 Calendar
-Act 2 walkthrough
-SIB for New Content
-General Store Breakdown, including prizes and caps
And that my friends concludes the quick rundown of the Wild West Event Act 2!
Remember this is just a quick rundown…as we have time to play through Act 2 ourselves we’ll break everything down in more detail. If you need help with the basics check out the Wild West Event page…in the meantime.
Thoughts on Act 2? Just like Act 1? Excited about these prizes? How’d you do with your Act 1 prizes? Will you be buying any of the new premium items? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
