Wild West 101: General Store (Act 2)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Time to hitch up the wagons and head out west, because the Wild West has hit our Springfields! With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up!

With so many layers to this event, it’s easy to get confused with what’s going on.  But, that’s where we come it!  To guide you through the ins and outs and break it all down in a manageable way, that anyone can quickly understand.

In this post we’re going to break down the General Store, for Act 2.  By the time we’re done you’ll have the ins, the outs & and the know how to fully understand why you’re getting a cleaned out message for Act 2!

So let’s get to it shall we?

So let’s start with the changes for Act 2….

The General Store comes with prizes.  Prizes you’ll unlock each day just by doing hand ins at the store.

Here’s a look at the 14 Prizes you can unlock during Act 1:

Prizes will repeat when Act 3 hits, as well as some new ones will hit.  So, if you see something you like chances are it’ll come back around 🙂

Also, if you miss a day…you can go back and get that prize.  So don’t panic if you miss a day or 2.  You will be able to go back and get them 🙂 (as long as it’s in the same act.  Don’t skip the donuts because they will disappear when Act 3 starts if you didn’t get them yet)

 

 

Now let’s talk about the caps…..

DON’T PANIC!!  This just means you’ve reached your Badge cap from the General Store for the day, and you can earn more tomorrow.  Think of this as EA’s way to slow you down, and prevent you from speeding through the Act in 1 day.

This Event is fairly easy, as in you shouldn’t have a problem earning enough Deputy Badges to earn all of the prizes before Act 2 ends (As long as you regularly tap…remember it takes regular tapping to unlock everything.  You can’t just play once a day and expect to get everything)

So What Are The Caps for Each Day?

Here are the Deputy Badge earning caps for Act 2 (Remember these are via the General Store only.  There is no cap on Badges you can earn via tapping bandits…)

After Day 13 the cap is essentially lifted…as Day 14 you can get up to 144,000

This is a running total.  So if you skip a day you’ll be able to collect the Clues to make up the difference.  Basically you can earn between 2,200 and 2,600 Clues per day you can earn via the General Store (until you get to the last day, which then shows the caps are essentially removed).

  1. Why are the day 14 donuts still locked??? I’ve had day 13 completed for over 24 hours.

  2. I’ve unlocked the Day 13 prize, but the Day 14 prize of 3 donuts is still locked! I’ve tried restarting both the game and my phone. Any ideas?

  3. What are people doing with all the rock formations? I have so many in my town!

  4. With 2 days left before act 3 starts I have redeemed all the prizes. Will any of the squished bandits, hats, pick axes, or pistols carry over to act 3? Or is everything for naught until Tuesday?

  5. Great site…first post. Usually I am able to get answers to my questions by reading content and posts here, but, I was unable to find info on the general store daily prize track. How do we get the final prize after the donuts? The prizes reset before it’s available. Thanks!

    • After the donut prize on the last day of the act it goes to the next one. The final daily prize is the donuts.

      I wonder if you are confusing the Act 2 overall prize track, which is achieved by amassing badges and culminates with Corral and Princess, with the daily General Store prizes that are acquired with 5 resource trade-ins each day (which is what this article is about). As Wookiee mentioned, the Day 14 donuts are the final daily General Store prize because Act 3 starts the next day. But, if you mean the Corral and Princess final prize, you need to reach the required level of badges before Act 3 starts to win it for free – only 2.5 days left!
