Wild West 2016 Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 9 Corral and Princess

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Wild West is alive and well in our Springfields!  As the Wild West Event has hit our games and it’s full of old west inspired decorations, buildings & characters!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Deputy Badges         (ico_wildwest_deputybadges_md) to unlock each prize!

The ninth Act 2 prize is awarded at 33,320ico_wildwest_deputybadges_md is the Corral and Princess because it’s about time Lisa’s pony made it into the game! (Note: Princess is not an actual character…)

So let’s take a closer look at this ninth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 33,320 ico_wildwest_deputybadges_md you’ll automatically be awarded the Corral and Princess.  They’ll be awarded separately, so you’ll need to place (or store) one to get the other.   You’ll see these messages popup:

2016-05-11 22.03.41

Once placed (or stored) you’ll see this one:

2016-05-11 22.04.07

You’ll have the ability to place or store these in your town..remember if you store them you’ll need to go into your inventory to retrieve them.

Let me also be clear that Princess is not a full fledged character.  Lisa will have a task to ride Princess, but it will require Lisa…so if you’re thinking about spending donuts at the last minute..I don’t think it’s worth it.  Of course that’s just my opinion.

The Corral and Princess come with several questlines.  All of which will start right up for you once you’ve placed, and built.  Remember the questlines can wait, and will be around after the event.  That being said, here’s a look at the questlines:

Nothing!  You are done until Act 3 starts (tomorrow).  So just sit back and collect those resources….cause you’re gonna need them for Act 3!  And badges are now worthless…they cannot be collected for additional donuts.  So just focus on earning the pickaxes, hats and guns…

What do you think of the Corral and Princess ? Have you unlocked it yet?  Or will it be a last minute push?  Holding off on the questlines? Ready for Act 3?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I got a malicious “flashplayer.exe” try to download when I visited this page too. Chrome thankfully blocked it, and Windows Defender still detected something downloaded and removed it.

  2. Just barely got this last prize for my son’s game before bed. Thanks to all those who helped by dropping prospectors. I made sure to help you first with prospectors from my account when going through my friends list to help any who were also close to getting that last prize.

  3. I missed it by 300 badges – so frustrating! I’m tempted to shell out the 25 donuts to pick it up, but only because it’s the first event prize I’ve missed out on for years. I’ll probably give it a miss though as the whole Wild West thing will probably end up in my inventory fairly soon anyway.

  4. Just a minor heads-up Act 3 rolls out. if you’ve already unlocked the Corral and Princess, please do NOT waste your resources doing the new additional task that pops up (collect 1750 badges).

Unlike previous events, you won’t get any bonus donuts for completing the task, and it’s impossible to clear it without exchanging items that you’ll sorely need for Act 3.

    • I finished Act 2 five days early, so I unlocked that task easily just by collecting bandits and doing the 5 daily tasks to unlock the items & 3 doughnuts. But yeah, definitely not worth spending resources to unlock specifically as it just gives you 500 cash or something like that.

  5. Shoot! Really thought I was gonna be able to win this prize but it looks like maybe not. I’m at 32,000 and only 3 hours to go! If anyone is still up (well, it’s late here on the east coast) could really use some prospectors! Old or new friends welcome, I’ve got around 10 slots available. Thanks so much!

    • Yaaay! Thanks to all my new friends I made it! I got the price down to 5 donuts and happily bought it at the very last moment! Thank you all so much and look for some prospectors coming your way very soon! You totally just made my day, er, morning. Tomorrow is gonna suck sleep-wise, but it was totally worth it! Thanks again everyone, and thanks as always to the mods for such an awesome site. You guys rock!

  6. I can’t get the day 14 promised donuts 🙁

  7. I know it’s a long shot but the corral and the talk of feces has me really hoping for a chance to get the pig crap silo and spider-pig.

  8. The last prize expires at exactly to the second that it unlockes. Why?

    • You have until tomorrow morning at 0800 GMT to unlock it. After that you can no longer get it for free, since Act 3 rolls out

      • Sorry I probably put this on the wrong thread. The bonus things… First you get 3 doughnuts then some carriage type thing! I have played every day and earned my prize each day. Seems odd that the last extra unlocks exactly as they roll over to act three.

        • The reason it says, up next and not Day ___ and it doesn’t really clearly show you what it is…is because it’s nothing. It’s a teaser for whats up coming in Act 3.

        • The 3 doughnuts / Day 14 are the last unlock for Act 2. It unlocked yesterday, with a full 24 hours to complete it before Act 3 begins.

  9. So cute watching her ride.

I’ve missed out on the last two final prizes but to be honest i couldn’t care less…. i really don’t like westerns anyway and can’t wait for this event to be over….. WORST EVENT EVER! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  11. Had this for a couple of days in my A game, but for my freemium B game this was close. Not as close as act 1, but I only made it because I started piling on prospectors from my A game. Is it just me, or are these events getting harder every time?

    • Harder? Only thing I found harder about this event, was getting bonuts, since we couldn’t other than the “day 14” prize. Rest was a breeze imo compared to previous events.

    • Harder? For me this has been the easiest one so far… I finished Act 1 with 2 days to spare, and Act 2 I had 5 days to spare (kept maxing out the store each day). Right now I have over 220 prospectors, 9000 pickaxes and 3000 guns and 3000 hats. I reckon Act 3 will be quite easy too!

      • Yeah this feels like an extended mini event. Really, really, really easy which is cool, it let’s me focus on my rail yard without having to worry about falling behind

  12. Probably not going to make it to get this prize. Way too busy during this act, not enough tapping. Should I spend donuts, and if yes, what would be a reasonable amount (based on how close I get)?

  13. I was so pleased to see Furious D finally involved!! He’s one of my favourite purchases 🙂

  14. Yes – that’s what I saw.

  15. For the second act in a row, I’ve played 4 times a day every 4 hours or so and I’m just gonna miss out on the final prize. Most of my friends are running into this problem too. Does anyone have any insight to get all of a phase’s prizes??? Thanks!

    • Try to have 2 jobs going in at the town plaza each time. Ex if you r currently collecting guns, send allcto get guns except Homer. Have him rile people up and that opens opportunities for Bart and Marge to collect hats and badges. I got the final prize today but have 20k, 8.5k and 6k pick axes, hat, and guns respectively ready for act 3. Also only have lurleen as premium

    • I am in the same boat, Chris, and I am bummed. This *keeps* happening to me! With 9 hours 43 minutes left, and me only having 29343/33320 badges, it doesn’t look as though it’s going too happen. Wish I’d seen Alfred’s tip before I put everyone in “Abuse Lawlessness” tasks. 🙁

    • Wow I’m glad I’m not the only one who has trouble getting the final prize. I missed out on the last one in act 1 so I thought I would play act 2 a little faster, however once it gets the final two prizes, I can’t seem to get enough badges, guns, whatever’s.

    • It should be doable even without running two town plaza jobs at the same time:
      1. play three or four times a day at 4-hour intervals,
      2. tailor the craze at the town plaza to suit your needs,
      3. send everyone available to the town plaza jobs,
      4. clear your town of bandits every visit before releasing the bandits from hideouts (and clearing those too),
      5. visit at least 10 neighbours each day,
      6. drop prospectors as you get them,
      7. trade in resources at the general store as needed (for currency, not just for the daily prize),
      8. catch the big bandit everyday, and
      9. complete the main event questline.
It should be impossible not to get all the prizes. The only way you should be missing out is if you can’t play more than twice a day or you’re not using the town plaza and general store. Is there something interfering in one of these things for your game?

    • Are you turning in supplies at the General store until it says you can’t? Don’t just do the five needed for the daily prize. Also, make sure you change the craze at the saloon to what supply you need .

  16. Comment to the moderator only: I have AdBlocker Plus turned off for your site, cuz I luv ya. I just had a pop up ad from this page that Chrome told me was malicious. I’m positive that you’ve signed up for a great ad service that promised you this wouldn’t happen. Please use this comment as fuel to hold your service accountable.

I do appreciate all you do and hope you’ve found this comment helpful. If not, post it and call me out. I’ll be properly chastened. Otherwise, lets keep this between us. No need for people to pile on.

    • Thanks for letting me know. I’ve been getting similar pop-ups from this and other WordPress sites with ads. Did it try to update your adobe flash?

      • I am getting pop ups everytime I use this site , saying security certificate issue and whether you want to continue. I just say continue. Generally the pop up will be issued three times at a go. Just stating my experience and whether this is normal. I mentioned this before. I am using an android phone. If on PC I am on win 7.

        • Yea…i’ve mentioned it to WP as well..

But the security cert is up to date and fine on this site.

          • As you know I used to get that error myself, but was a while ago, and haven’t received it since. Mind you, on pc I’m on Vista which I know is outdated (and cr4p lol ….uh, can I say that here? 😀 )

        • WP advised they moved everything to https, but not 100% of the site is moved. Which is why you’ll occasionally see that popup. (the security certificate issue)

      • Just another data point – I also have Adblocker disabled for this site, (your site is unique in that regard… solely because you asked politely, in a post awhile back) but I’ve never actually seen any pop-ups coming from this site. It’s possible that there’s a pop-up blocker running by default in my browser, which I just haven’t paid any attention to. I’ll keep an eye out for alerts… though there aren’t any live alerts right now, so it seems likely that those rogue pop-ups have already been purged from the WordPress ad delivery system. If not, then it’s also conceivable that the pop-ups were spawned by something not necessarily *directly* related to the site itself. (Local malware, for instance — though, multiple reports make that scenario slightly less likely.)

        • Yea the popups shouldn’t appear at all. The only ads are banner ads at the top and sidebar and video or sometimes larger ads in the posts.

      • Ok…I think we’ve finally isolated and fixed this issue. Anyone experiencing it, can you please let me know if you’re still having it happen?

        Thanks!

    • I too, have gotten a malicious blocking this add warning from my Internet security program a couple of times.
As far as updating my Adobe, that might be why I am constantly getting it updated.
