Yup I’m fully aware there are many questions regarding today’s update looming. But there are also many questions about the Wild West Event…remember that thing? Still going on for another 2 weeks…
So i’m going to break things up. A couple Wild West Posts, a couple Level 60+ posts…it’s all coming I promise. Just give me time to write it. 🙂
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Time to hitch up the wagons and head out west, because the Wild West has hit our Springfields! With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up!
With so many layers to this event, it’s easy to get confused with what’s going on. But, that’s where we come it! To guide you through the ins and outs and break it all down in a manageable way, that anyone can quickly understand.
In this post we’re going to break down the General Store, for Act 3. By the time we’re done you’ll have the ins, the outs & and the know how to fully understand why you’re getting a cleaned out message for Act 3!
So let’s get to it shall we?
We broke the basics down in another post already. So if you’re still confused on the General Store check out this post.
So let’s start with the changes for Act 3….
The General Store comes with prizes. Prizes you’ll unlock each day just by doing hand ins at the store.
Here’s a look at the 14 Prizes you can unlock during Act 3:
Day 1
Days 2, 6, 9 & 13
Day 3 & 10
Day 4
Day 5
Day 7
Day 8 & 11
Day 12
Day 14 (last day)
You’ll see an Up Next icon in the store after Day 14…there is no Act 4. So don’t worry about it. Day 14 is the last day of the Event.
Also, if you miss a day…you can go back and get that prize. So don’t panic if you miss a day or 2. You will be able to go back and get them 🙂 (as long as it’s in the same act. Don’t skip the donuts because they will disappear when the Event ends…
Now let’s talk about the caps…..
If you see this message popup in your town
DON’T PANIC!! This just means you’ve reached your TNT cap from the General Store for the day, and you can earn more tomorrow. Think of this as EA’s way to slow you down, and prevent you from speeding through the Act in 1 day.
And YES…this has been happening for the ENTIRE Event. Many of you just didn’t hit the caps during Acts 1 or 2. I promise it’s nothing new.
This Event is fairly easy, as in you shouldn’t have a problem earning enough TNT to earn all of the prizes before Act 3 ends (As long as you regularly tap…remember it takes regular tapping to unlock everything. You can’t just play once a day and expect to get everything)
The Cap DOES NOT apply to TNT in general. You can collect as much as you want via Bandits, Town Plaza Tasks etc. You can also use donuts to speed through. It only applies to how much TNT you can earn from the General Store in a given day.
So What Are The Caps for Each Day?
Here are the TNT earning caps for Act 3 (Remember these are via the General Store only. There is no cap on TNT you can earn via tapping bandits…)

After Day 13 the cap is essentially lifted…as Day 14 you can get up to 144,000
This is a running total. So if you skip a day you’ll be able to collect the TNT to make up the difference.

Is there any benefit to collecting more TNT once all the prizes have been accumulated? Most events have a way to earn donuts with excess event currency but I haven’t seen that yet…

Alissa do you know what the “coming soon” part of Act 3 general store prizes means? It says “something hot” and i wonder what that means

What is up with all these in-game updates ? It’s been the third one since last night… It’s really making me not want to play anymore… It just keeps taking up more and more space on my tiny 8 giga phone, and every time it takes around 20 minutes to install… Am I the only one experiencing this ?
They’re trying to patch the game to fix the issues…

Another in game update and still server issues. I’m done tonight. So much for playing. Maybe they can get their stuff straight by the morning.
Depending on which issue you’re having, it may have been noted elsewhere. There is the ongoing problem for some people of having been kicked from their game, supposedly due to rapid level-ups… does that sound at all familiar?
I’m taking it by no reply that others are having server issues too. Doesn’t surprise me with all the problems that are going on right now.
I found a glitch on my game, I don’t have enough dynamite but I already have Longshot Skinner.
I saw something similar, it happens when you send him on the quest task about the showdown. If you rotate through his cousins it’ll go back to the regular task list and skin.
Consider it a preview of his skin and task list 🙂
Mine did that too but he disappeared as soon as I tapped him
Store Skinner or the school and place him/it back solved the problem for me.
Derp two weeks? Thought this act was it…guess that explains the final box on the prize line (One that’s usually greyed out not showing something)

I wish they had brought back the hay cart from Clash of Clones as one of the prizes instead of offering us fence pieces over and over that we can easily buy with in game cash.

Every since my game updated to level 60 I am having a real hard time getting on the game.I have only been able to get in the game 2 times since update…..I have tried resetting my WiFi and unstalled the game twice and reloaded it and I still can’t get in the game……
Are you getting the server error like me?

I’ve always been confused about how sensitive you guys are to typo corrections. I know that when I used to write a blog I would always take them as constructive criticism and be grateful for the opportunity they gave me to correct a mistake.
Now, since the verbal inflections and indicators that help us decode tone are missing in written comments, it is possible that sb’s comment was haughty and superior (in which case a rejoinder in kind may be warranted), but why not give him/her the benefit of the doubt and assume they were just trying to be helpful. This is not the first time I’ve noticed a defensive reaction to a typo correction either, and I have to say I find it utterly bizarre. We all make typos, spelling errors and grammatical mistakes, why not accept the opportunity to correct them?
It doesn’t seem to me that pointing out a typo in a post is equivalent to not appreciating the work that went into writing it. Just the opposite, I think most typo corrections are offered in the spirit of wanting to help the writer put their best foot forward in a public forum.
This is just my opinion, I understand yours may differ.
It depends on how it’s said. And also who says it. Some readers we know better than others, so we know then they’re teasing etc. BUT it really comes down to how it’s said. I appreciate typos being pointed out, but as long as it’s done nicely.
That being said…I also just think Wookiee was defending me because he knows I’ve busting my butt covering both events so he can focus on school and bunny can focus on getting better…he’s a little protective of his “sisters” 😉
Thanks. Well said. I don’t think sb intended anything with that comment, but sometimes you have to do a little dance before people become familiar with you and you can then make that exact same comment and not offend anyone. Or, it was just bad timing.
I know, with the tools that WordPress provides, that that kind of typo is caused by starting with a “template” which is basically a copy-paste situation. Then everything has to be updated. I’d just go ahead and blame WP since they should provide better and smarter tools. 😉

Is it just me or does it seem like there’s a lot more bandits wandering my town? Not in the hideouts, just wanderers.
Doesn’t seem like more to me, I’d guess it depends if your regular tapper, they congrue regularly.
Those wanderers flock together when you don’t scroll around in you Springfield for about a minute. Quite normal.
Anyone else getting the server problems? I can’t get into my game just keep trying over and over but nothing but the Bart screen 🙁
