Wild West 101: Town Plaza Level Up (Act 3)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Time to hitch up the wagons and head out west, because the Wild West has hit our Springfields! With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up!

With so many layers to this event, it’s easy to get confused with what’s going on.  But, that’s where we come it!  To guide you through the ins and outs and break it all down in a manageable way, that anyone can quickly understand.

In this post we’re going to break down of leveling up the Town Plaza, for Act 3.  By the time we’re done you’ll have the ins, the outs & and the know how to fully understand just how upgrading works for Act 3.

So let’s get to it shall we?

Town_Plaza_3

So as we covered in the Act 1 Leveling Up post, leveling up for the Wild West Event is the simplest leveling up we’ve ever seen!  So easy even Ralph can do it!

Just tap those bandits…that’s it!

Leveling up doesn’t require turning in resources.  It doesn’t even require thinking about it…it just happens, as long as you’re playing the game as you should be.

So here’s a quick break down of each level for the Town Plaza and what it does…

For Act 3 you’ll be able to upgrade from levels 11-15.  It will stop you at Level 15.

So here’s where we left off with Act 2 and level 10…

If you remember…Level 10 unlocked the ability for Wiggum to earn currency at Town Plaza.

To Upgade to level 11 it will require you to tap 250 Bandits

2016-05-17 11.50.57

Doing so will increase the Bandits that spawn from hideouts.  So instead of 6/4hrs, you’ll earn 7/4hrs.

2016-05-17 11.51.05

To Upgrade to Level 12  it will require tapping 500 Bandits (after you’ve upgraded to Level 11)

2016-05-17 11.51.25

And doing so have bandits spawn from Moe’s…

2016-05-17 11.51.33

To Upgrade to Level 13 it will require tapping 500 Bandits (after you’ve reached Level 12)

2016-05-17 11.51.37

Doing so will increase the Bandits that spawn from hideouts.  So instead of 7/4hrs, you’ll earn 8/4hrs.

2016-05-17 11.51.45

To Upgrade to Level 14 it will require tapping 500 Bandits (after you’ve reached Level 13)

2016-05-17 11.51.51

And doing so will now unlock the ability for Bandits to Spawn from Part and Parcel Postal, so you’ll get 8/4hrs from Part and Parcel Postal

2016-05-17 11.51.59

To Upgrade to Level 15 it will require tapping 500 Bandits (after you’ve reached Level 14)

2016-05-17 11.52.03

Doing so will increase the Bandits that spawn from hideouts.  So instead of 8/4hrs, you’ll earn 9/4hrs.

2016-05-17 11.52.10

Once you’ve reached Level 15, you’ll have reached the max Town Plaza Level….you’ll see this in your Town Plaza:

2016-05-17 11.52.14

So EA has capped us at 15 Levels for the event.

The best part of all of this?  As long as you’re playing as you should be, simply clearing bandits when you can…you’ll upgrade without even thinking about it!  And add new benefits to your town with each upgrade.

So don’t stress about upgrading, it’ll happen naturally and on it’s own (literally there is nothing to turn in or click.  Once you reach the required number of bandits your Town Plaza will automatically upgrade.  It’s about as autopilot as you can get!).  So simply play the Wild West Event, tap those bandits, earn that currency and you’ll be fully upgraded in no time!

And that my friends, I believe, covers the full rundown of Leveling Up/Upgrading the Town Plaza for Act 3!

What are your thoughts on upgrading?  Have you played other events where upgrading was more of a chore?  Are you enjoying this new format?  What level is your Town Plaza?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I completely leveled up 2 days ago. What do I do with my 38,000.00 tnt that I have left. If I don’t use them do I lose them.

  2. I was hoping that licorice Smithers would be a part of the event 😬

  3. My game is still glitched, i just levelled up level 16. Check the screen shot below.

  4. For the life of me, I can’t find where to buy the Part and Parcel store, and no amount of searches is leading me to it. Any help?

  5. Wish I could find the act 3 calender, always a difficult task. Wish it could stay at top of event page during event. Gil deal missing, hoping they extend it .
I also wish items that you miss in events would be available somewhere even for donuts but at any time. Some items I have seen in towns and I have never seen in store. If you are on vacation during an event, you should have the ability to eventually purchase items. I have a friend started game late in monorail event and has no way of ever finishing even a basic circle ( 1 curve short). Trading between neighbors could help with some of this as maybe you earned an item they missed or you have several.
Sorry for long rant, just some thoughts since you have EA’s ear.

    • You could also Search. It really does work well. FWIW, I think the rarity of items is what drives a lot of this game. If you could get anything you want, your Springfield couldn’t be as unique as it is. I wouldn’t play if I knew somebody could just buy donuts and get all the unique items I’ve “worked” for. I don’t have any monorail, but I appreciate the fact that I missed out because I started too late, but I’d rather deal with that than see the Western decorations in a new Springfield years from now. I also like that they randomly bring certain things back for purchase much later. Like Tuxedo Krusty came back for the Casino Event, but even moreso, during Black Friday when some rare items pop up again. I’m glad it’s not every past item though.

  6. Experiencing task bar pile up with this event(namely Homer)? Since he can participate in all things saloon, most belong to him. Waiting till event ends to knock those off. Also, is there an act 4 or will event end? If the latter, then what to do with leftover resources?

  7. I’m really enjoying this Wild West event but I thought some stand alone cacti trees would be the perfect way to finish everything instead of just big rocks. And yes I have purchased the square field of cacti.

    • Yeah, same here. I wish there were some more freemium decorations instead of just the fence and gate. Some standalone cacti would be a nice way to spruce up the landscape. Plus they’re giving away too many rocks, so I threw the ones I couldn’t fit into my Wild West town at the Heights beach.

    • I’ve also been hoping for the stand alone cacti. This event could be called The Rocky Western Show.

  8. When I reached Level 11 and started earning bandits at Moe’s Tavern, 8 characters with completed jobs were locked in Moe’s. Solved the problem with a technique I learned at TSTOAddicts-I stored the tavern and replaced which freed up the captives. Hope EA fixes this as I frequently send characters to Moe’s.
    Is this a common problem?

    • First i’m seeing it honestly…with this particular update.

      • I’ve experienced this already when the Android’s Dungeon was turned into a hideout. Groening was doing a task at the time, but I couldn’t release him after he was done. Problem resolved itself after I cleared bandits the second time. Hasn’t been a problem since.

    • spiny_norm886

      I’ve seen this, too.

All I had to do to fix it was go to the neighbors screen and then return to my Springfield; the characters in Moe’s Tavern are no longer locked in.

    • It happened to me too. I released the bandits from Moe’s and when I tapped the building I could see some characters there with their jobs completed (when looking at Moe’s there were no thumbs up on it, like it should be), next to the time bar there was a “collect” like button, but when I tapped it nothing happened. What I did was hard close the game and when I came back the thumbs up were there and I was able to collect he money and xp
