Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well many of you have been requesting it, so what better time than now for another edition of Springfield Showoff! This is where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
With the Wild West event wrapping up (Act 3 ends May 30th), I thought now would be a great time to show us your Old West towns!
S0000….we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Monday (May 30th). So show us what you’ve done with your TSTO Wild West Stuff!
Of course those are just some of the many Wild West items dropped into our games from this event…
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about 9pm EDT Sunday (May 29th). We can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

FYI fellow tappers: i just found the perfect app for stitching photos together. It’s Photoshop Mix by Adobe and it is free in the Apple App Store. It is really easy to use (now that I know what I’m doing), and it has a lot of different editing features. For simple stitching, just import your photo, shrink it, then import the next photo and shrink. Line up your pics and adjust the size to fit the box. When you are done just save it to your camera roll.

Why, oh, why did they make the wagons and horses facing opposite directions? I really wanted to make it look like one of the horses was hitched to a wagon (even if I had to block part off it to make the illusion), but I don’t think there’s any way to do that. 🙁
The only thing I can think of to do is use the back of the wagon as the front but it still doesn’t look quite right. I’m sure you can figure something out though. ☺️ Maybe even add some more horses to your stage coach. If I remember correctly they both are the same direction.
Completely agree. My solution was to turn my carriages and horses into a “parking lot”, next to the blacksmith. All carriages have horses (included in the reign-mount (???) or not) except the “reverse” carriage. I figured even in the WSW, there was some idiot whom parked the wrong way (similar to my Mall parking lot, all cars mostly line up except of course the Canenero, 2 slots sideways, and Rich car, forgot whom it was, but parked right outside Costingtons :).

Eek! My first time entering one of these. I really wish I knew how to stitch photos – it would look so much better. I believe there’s an article on here somewhere, but I’m wondering specifically what some of the people on this thread did – they look very good! In the meantime, I hope I can be forgivenm 4 images, as I put them in an album format. I’ve never used imgur before so please bear with me if this doesn’t come out right on the first try… Oh….so nervous….please be nice!!!

That headless bandit is creepy… I also like how you captured Homer mid-tumble.
And, of course the design is great too. I like how you used shrubs to transition from grass to dirt.

Glad I got the event finished yesterday, since I’m off to Switzerland and won’t be playing much.
Surprised I haven’t seen more friends / neighbor-eenos using the level 18 friendship prize in their Wild West Towns… Bloodbath & Beyond Gun Shop, I know their is already a gun shop available in this event but you can never have too many gun shops.
I really wasn’t kidding about the drum of horse parts at Princess’ stable…

Call out to Only_cybersilly. He has an awesome Wild West town with a really cool use of all the rocks, Springfield gorge, Carl’s dads cave and anything else Rocky all tied together leading into town.
How does one upload pictures?
you can either email them to us or use Flickr, Dropbox or another photo upload program (imgur is another that readers here frequently use) to upload your photo and then paste the URL in the comments.

I really like what you’ve done with the Old Mine! I bought it just because I liked it and it’s currently sitting on its own so I can see all the bandits produced. Now that I’ve unlocked the Caverns I can put some rocks around it. I’ve also got the Gorge in my Wild West area.

Can’t wait to see what everyone has come up with! My phone has been really slow with this update so hopefully I’ll sort my design out once the event is over!
