Where Did THAT Come From: Carl’s Dad Caverns

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. That is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Carlsdad Caverns Large

The cool looking building Carl’s Dad Caverns appeared during Act 3 of our Wild West Event as Personal Prize #9.

You can find more information for the Should I Buy HERE.

This post I will be going over the Origin of Carl’s Dad CavernsWhy is it in our games? What does he have to do with Springfield Wild West? Does it have any significance? Let’s dive into the Simpsons TV Series to find out more.

The Seemingly Never-Ending Story: Season 17, Episode 13

The Episode opens right up to Carl’s dad Cavern (Discovered in 1956 by Carl’s Dad).

Carlsdad Cavern (1)

The Simpsons family is making their way inside to go exploring. Bart seems the most excited to see it. It’ll be dark with rock and mineral formations.

Carlsdad Cavern (2)

It actually does look pretty cool inside of the Cavern. Of course Homer has to do his usual thing and ruin the moment for everyone else. While observing a really old Stalagtite, Homer decides to get a lil eensy weensy tiny piece to bring back to work. It of course results in the entire piece coming crashing to the Cavern floor causing a whole that sucks up all of the Simpson Family down deeper and deeper inside.

Carlsdad Cavern (3)

The Episode then continues kind of like Inception in that Lisa tells a story within a story within a story within a story…  to a stuck Homer (he couldn’t fit through the hole the rest of the family fell through). Short story long, Homer set the family up to go to Carl’s Dad Cavern to find a loot of Gold Coins that are hidden somewhere in the Cavern.  In the end, Marge tosses the Gold Coins even deeper into the Cavern and all involved leave… except Mr. Burns… he’ll be right behind them…

Carlsdad Cavern (4)

There you have it, a cool looking cave in the TV Series that now has a bag of Gold Coins hidden deep down in it’s depths… and is now a permanent fixture in our silly lil games. It does add to the ambiance of the Wild West look of our Wild West Event. I wonder if the Cavern will give us some Gold… hmmmmm.

Do you remember the Episode? Wonder if the Gold Coins are still buried down deep inside or if someone has found them? Find a cool place in your Springfield to put the Cavern? Let us know.

  1. Did you know that the name was a parody of Carlsbad Cavern (fact from Robobot!) 🙂

  2. To my favourite bunny
I love all your posts and I hope you realise that you are an amazing person with incredible talent! Sending you carrot medicine and plenty of hugs! *hug*
    Get better soon 🙂

  3. Two things I want to address.

First and foremost, great post Bunny. I enjoyed it and I hope you get well soon. 🙂

Second, I got Carl’s Dad Caverns on May 24, 6 days to spare til the takedown of the west. To be honest, as soon as I got Carl’s Dad Caverns unlocked and because of the fact that there are no Bonuts for this event, I really felt like having this event be done and over already. I know there are some people still working into getting that last prize, but for me, I’ve been burned from this event. I mean if earning event currency earns no value at this point, you’re better off having the takedown now.

You can buy decorations with Guns, Axes, Hats, and Coins; they’re just buried in in the standard purchasing menu instead of being accessed through the General Store.

The TNT is worthless (after CDC), and I wish I could ‘pile it up’ as a decoration at the completion of the event, but…

  4. If you only have 23.8k TNT at this point, is it still possible for a freemium account to get Carl’s Caverns? Holiday weekend will help me get more robbers but not sure if it’s possible to get enough for the final prize.

Also just wanted to say thank you for the staff’s hard work in updating this website. I saw a pretty ungrateful commenter in the last post and couldn’t believe my eyes. The nerve of some people…

  5. I set aside the perfect place for this, but I won’t have near enough TNT to get it. Frustrating!

  6. Hey Bunny! I haven’t seen you post in a while. I heard you were sick, are you feeling better? 🐇🐰
