In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
Woohoo! New stuff courtesy of our dear unlucky friend Gil. I know this particular deal came with its own challenges and frustrations for some tappers and others couldn’t afford the sprinklies but I thought it’d be remiss of me if I didn’t quickly knock out an origin for the newest addition to the game. It seems sort of silly to write about something I already dreamed about in a Krustyland post but I realize everyone doesn’t read everything here so I’m at it again. Let’s check out the Best. Show. Ever.
“Selma’s Choice” (S4:E13)
I think it’s safe to say that this is considered to be one of the classic episodes (it’s the one right after my very favorite episode). Just that alone made this an instant premium splurge for me. Right from the beginning, we’re introduced to Duff Gardens courtesy of a commercial with Captain Lance Murdock. The Beerquarium is right there in all its glory.
“See the happiest fish in the world at our fabulous Beerquarium.”
Homer and the kids are stoked to go but their plan is delayed when they have to go Littleneck Falls for Marge’s Aunt Gladys’ funeral. Selma decides she wants a baby so she doesn’t end up a childless spinster like her aunt. Fast forward through this awkwardness and we see that the Duff Gardens commercials continue on TV. The Duff Gardens castle and the Beeramid are in an ad on TV.
The Simpsons make plans to go for the weekend but stupid Homer gets food poisoning from a really old ten foot hoagie he saved from a company picnic. Selma volunteers to take the kids instead. Our first site of Duff Gardens is the Beeramid again with the castle behind it. “The Beeramid contains so much aluminum it would take five men to lift it. 22 immigrant laborers died during its construction.”
So much goodness in the theme park like the castle but it’s the Little Land of Duff that brings us the strange gnomes you can stockpile if you bought this deal. The Dizznee ride this lampoons is one of my tiny humans favorites.
Bart dares Lisa to drink the water and the outcome is awesome in a Jim Morrisonesque way. Lisa trips the light fantastic and the Duff Electrical Parade (including the Duff Statue of Liberty) is one of the things she whacks out on. She can see the music.
In the end, Lisa is caught swimming naked in the fermentarium and is hailed off to security. No surprise Bart was already there. This of course is the oft repeated famous Lisa line of “I am the Lizard queen” and why I mentioned the Doors frontman above. Behold the origin of the new Lisa skin.
Selma realizes she doesn’t want to be a mom courtesy of the antics of her niece and nephew. This episode is also interesting because it is one of the few, if only, episodes in which Patty and Selma aren’t rude to Homer. Seriously, watch it and see… it’s spooky.
So there you go. Duff Gardens in the Best. Show. Ever. and the appearances of the new stuff that was made available in the latest Gil Deal. What do you think of it all? Were you able to/did you even want to buy it? I’m thrilled with this new addition but not quite sure on how I plan to make my own little Duff Gardens in my town. Seriously hoping more gnome varieties arrive in the future. I’m probably alone in wishing all this stuff was in Krustyland but maybe they’ll bring all of KL stuff to our towns somewhere up in the Springfield Heights area? A fuzzball can dream, right? Absolutely agree, two gnomes for “duff stuff” is woefully inadequate.
Duff gardens “stuff”? I bought duff gardens but didn’t see any “stuff” to add to it. Did I miss something? I bought it cuz it sounded like there would be a bunch of decorations to go with it but I didn’t see any. Any help would be appreciated.

During the past few events, I became a completionist and had to have everything, but sadly I couldn’t get help from EA to buy this.
I hope they bring it back, but being a Gil deal, I guess that’s very unlikely.

I’m glad I got this, just for Lisa saying she’s the lizard queen when she completes a task, now. It’s the first Lisa skin I’ve heartily enjoyed.
Do you think EA will give us a chance of buying Duff Gardens as mine disappeared when I left to buy doughnuts
We all hope that they will for those who missed it. EA definitely wants people to spend donuts so I don’t see any reason not to.
Just wish they would of patched is so I could of bought it , not good EA 😩
I had the Gill glitch too. It popped up, I declined the offer so I could think about it then it disappeared. Today I carried on with the googolplex quest, placed the mountain and the gill deal popped back up! Hopefully it will for others too
Well, Day 10 of my Road to level 60 so I can use this thing: I’ve moved up one level, to 45… I am now trying to get $300k so I can buy 3 Rat-Traps or whatever give you the most XP. I have enough donuts saved up to turn on my XP multiplier. Will 3 Trucks give me enough XP For a new level?
I don’t remember how many XP is required from 45-46…
1 Did the trick, 2 got me up 2 levels. Partly helped by the Corn Pro Tip, I assume.
One of the aboslute best episodes, from start to finish.
I know this view might be unpopular but unless different attractions/decorations are added to this(in which case I presume the offer will return) it’s awful. Wish I’d never seen it,got it and if I could regift it to someone I would. It does have possibilities but at the moment a pile of pony.
Couldn’t agree more. I thought it would expand and change and so on, but it’s boring and stupid. The only good thing about it was the Lisa quest, which was pretty awesome.
I saw the offer, closed the window, bought donuts and it was gone, never to return. (Yet) Still bummed and surprised they didn’t fix the glitch. Ah well. I guess ill live. 🙂

I feel sorry for those who missed out on the Gil deal, especially for that glitch that made you never get the deal if you were to decline it. Kinda disappointed that I read a thread about the deal being permanent instead of being limited time, given the fact that it’s now already gone. 🙁

Everyone who played tapped out when they it was superhero event, on issue 4 when radioactivite man come back there was villain who came and said they will get revenge and come back and in French update it says there be superhero event so it defenitly will be superhero event and it a sequel

Bought it right away, Along with one Beeramid and Duff Liberty! I have Lisa mostly tripping out or defending Duff Gardens or swinging. I would like to place the other Duff statues around it but unfortunately they can still only be in Krustyland. Lance Murdocks Stunt-Pool is going near it.

Duff gardens is a Myth. I think I dreamed that it was available. I would get it if they brought it back. I would think they would as so many people would buy it the second it showed up in their game.
Lol good episode that one. The Little Land of Duff works on so many levels in theme parks. “Duff beer for me, Duff beer for you, I’ll have a Duff you have one too.”, “I AM THE LIZARD QUEEN.” Yep the Duff ride certainly takes the mickey of Mickey and Disney parks.
