It’s Chili Cook-Off time in Springfield! Gather up those Insanity Peppers and get ready to lose your mind, as we take a journey with the residents of our pocket-sized Springfields for the hottest Chili known to man!
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Deep Space Homer and the Fire Department), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the fun chili inspired prizes and take a ride on the insanity side…

Try Insanity Mode- This is a new game that launches. Reset time is 8hrs. For me, for today anyway, it awards Pharmaceuticals for completing. Basically you have to tap tortoises in 30 seconds.

I can still send my characters on quests to collect peppers, but I don’t actually collect them as this quest is gone from my timel Me, any suggestions on where the can see these peppers r is this a glitch?
That event is over, so it’s glitched in your game that you’re still seeing the tasks for them. You may have to contact EA
Is there any benefit to continuing to farm peppers after you’ve finished the main quest line? Can they be exchanged for cash or something?

Liking this quest a lot, this is one of my favorite episode! Which makes it even more disappointing that you don’t have the “It Takes Weeks to Make Muntz” tent available! :((((
I just finished the questline and I got a message not shown here – something like “the insanity cauldron is awarding pharmaceuticals for a limited time only”. So I guess we can expect different prizes (or no prizes at all) in the future…
The decorations from the prize track are all Meh for me & looks a lot like redecorated recycled stuff from the past.
But now I’m a little more motivated to get through the quest line to unlock the new mini-game
I’m up to Part 6 and can’t get the characters to start collecting as it says “Job location not currently available”. Can anyone let me know which location I need to complete this?

How do you get to Insanity Game? I have Insanity Cauldron but it just sits here – in all 3 towns…
As the post your commenting on says…in launches when you’ve finished the prize track.
So is the Insanity Cauldron the timer for the mini-game? I finished the questline earlier today and have played the mini-game once.
Just like the Duff Gardens, I hope they have plans for it to award other/better stuff down the road.

I had 30 days left on corn and it completed early due to the peppers. However, I don’t think I got paid for them. Did anyone notice if your completed crops got paid out? It didn’t look like it to me!

Solved my own problem!! I just messaged about job location not available…. It needed brown house and I had stored them all!!! Just if anyone else is in same position but I guess not.
I’m at the 5th part for the wiggum tent prize, I try to send them to get me more peppers, and it says the building is not there for me to send them to. What building is required for the others to get me the peppers I need? Help..

Having a small problem. I”m on the last part of the questline (For Wiggum’s tent) and what building do they collect the peppers from in that part? can’t figure it out.

When I unlocked the ability to grow Insanity peppers at Cletus’ farm, I was about 20 days into growing corn and finished it for me!!!
Not sure if this was covered yet…the insanity game also gives surprise bonus gifts. Just now I got my 6 SH pharmaceuticals and a patch of sugar cane/ bamboo a second dialog box also popped up saying to keep playing for more prizes (sorry can’t capture screen shots on my tablet …OK don’t know HOW to capture screen shots…)
Don’t forget to use Witch Marge to speed up the Insanity Peppers crops. 6 every 90 minutes…

really stop and give us a break for a week or so. i have hard enough trouble finishing your timed missions now i will be unable to go on for about 1 day so i will be even more screwed. STOP PLEASE AND GIVE US A BREAK/REST PLEASE
Uhm, you do know this blog aren’t the actual game developers right? It’s not ‘their’ timer or choice when to release events? Besides, this is just a mini-event, should be easy and fun. You can choose not to participate and take a break anytime you choose.
agree. I’ve been playing for about 3 years.. and I have ‘chose’ not to play in many events due to other commitments.. some of these themes take a lot of time.
though I am kicking myself about the monorail one 🙁 Hope it comes back!
No one is forcing u to play every event. If u want a break take one.
I really liked the episode, but the event is pretty lackluster. The Space Event and Fire Event were much better in that you were at least given one skin and a building. In this event all we get are decorations which mean little without the main character or building. I hope I can generate enough donuts to get the space coyote before the event is over.
Ever since this latest update, I have to confirm my age and re-log into my EA account and then my device goes through and does a full game “downloading updates”. It takes at least 5 minutes to get into the game every time. I’ve tried hard closing and powering off my phone. By any chance do you know if this is related to this particular update or something unique to my device? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
I only had 96 donuts so I bought and sold a bunch of rat trap delivery trucks until I was broke and had 120 donuts… Anything for the space coyote!! I love that episode!
How does buying and selling trucks give you donuts? I really need to know. ☺
