Springfield Showoff Annoucement: Boardwalk and Pier

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

With some downtime in our games, and summer looming large in the coming weeks, what better time then now for another edition of Springfield Showoff?! This is where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

With summer rapidly approaching, I thought now would be a great time to show off those Squidport Boardwalks and Springfield Heights Piers!

S0000….we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Saturday (June 11th).  So show us what you’ve done with your Boardwalk and/or Pier!

So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about 9pm EDT Friday (June 10th). We can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com.  We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots.  We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images.  Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too).  We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two.  If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week.  You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page.  We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme.  Remember, this isn’t a contest.  There’s nothing to win.  It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts.  🙂

    Not really tech savvy, or have much time at the mo, but recently made a little Venice section, by putting the most recent SH buildings on the SH Boardwalk at angles, with a semi visible courtyard area.

    I’ve also, I think, maxed out or will be after this one, on tiles I can earn for Squidport, other than through usage of the submarine. I wish you could buy/ make more more quickly…

    My submission for the show off. The only thing I wish I could change is the walls allowed to be placed on the pier tiles. I think the SH walls would have looked better for this design. Oh well, it looks better than what I had before the show off was announced. 😁

      haven’t been able to take part in any of the past few showoffs, so despite my heights pier and beach not really being complete, i wanted to get this submitted while i had some time to stitch it.

      on a related note… sure would like more of those beach towel and umbrella decorations, didn’t get nearly enough during the easter 2014 event. i remember trying to dupe more of them during that awesome inventory glitch, but they required donuts to do so (can’t recall how much) even though they’ve never been re-released, premium or otherwise. now that donuts aren’t an issue for me, i’m wishing i threw down some for a few more. oh well, here’s to hoping they find an excuse to bring em back this summer!

    I never really did much with my pier besides the Casino event when I used the mod to place Burns Casino on it. The pier is sort of a joke since they don’t have enough good items to even place on it,,,,they need to add more. Hopefully By next month they will….since the pier has “summer” written on it. lol

      I was SO excited when Database came in the game and actually used a building on the boardwalk. It looks so darn lonely with no one ever walking on it. Even the boardwalk performer gets bored and wanders around town!

    Just a side-note, I can’t seem to find any way to buy things for springfield heights since the chili cook-off event! I need to get rid of some furniture but I can’t seem to find anything to buy with it anymore.
    HELP!

    Back to sleep, worry tomorrow when I have to choose what yutz to cast my ballot for.

    Here’s some nice incentive for me to get my Springfield organized after my most recent nuking. I’m going to work on my Boardwalk and Pier area and send something in by Friday.

    In the meantime, found the pic I emailed you on May 24 2014, when you last had a Showoff for Squidport, long before SH ever existed. The pic was included in that Springfield Showoff two years ago.

      Safi……no……I was specifically thinking about your port when I saw the showoff thread. You have to post a shot of when you put TORONTO in the boardwalk! You have a shot of it, you must. It was so very cool. And I don’t even live in Canada.

    Really excited to see what everyone’s oceanside looks like! It’s been a struggle for me to design nicely since it’s release haha

      Ditto. I’ve given up on my Squidport because I could really do with some more ocean towards the south, rather than always east to west. I’d like to put my ships, islands etc farther out to sea & thus make the area look more realistic, rather than the cramped up mess I currently have. So I’m really looking forward to seeing what fellow addicts have done….💜X
