Level 60 and the Conform-O-Meter (with Duff Gardens info too!)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 60 arrived in Springfield recently and with it arrived a new character, new building and a couple of decorations…and we saw the end of level updates as we know it!  Of course, as always all those new additions mean conform-o-meter impact…

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

Of course with the release of Level 60 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are.  So now you’ll have all the information you need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

Before we get into the Level 60 requirements, I’m going to take a moment to talk about what the end of Level updates, as we know them, means for the conform-o-meter.

So what’s going to happen now?  Will each level increase the conform-o-meter requirements?

No.  After Level 60 increasing your levels will NOT change the conform-o-meter requirements.  This means that the level 60 numbers will remain…unless EA changes them with a future update.  So the requirements below will be the conform-o-meter max requirements for Level 60, Level 260, Level 860 and beyond…(of course until EA changes that..)

Now on with the changes…

Here are the new requirements to maintain a 5-Star Springfield for Level 60:

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
    Gluttony
60 610      360       408/421
Tree-hugging
     /Vanity
Righteousness Socialism
58,195/83,270 421 4,530

This time around Indolence saw a 10 point increase, while Obedience, Consumerism and Gluttony showed no increase.  Tree-Hugging saw a 1,690 point increase this time.  Vanity also saw an increase, this time of 2,850 points. Righteousness increased by 14 points.  And rounding out the list Socialism once again saw a 162 point increase.

So now let’s take a look at how these new building and decorations Level 60 dropped in impact our Conform-o-Meter:

Item Cost Category Points
Googolplex $1,852,000 n/a n/a
Homerlayas Free n/a n/a
Duff Statue of Liberty 60 sidebar_donutday Vanity +100

And since it was initially released with level 60…here’s a look at how Gil’s Duff Gardens deal impacts our meters:

Item Cost Category Points
Duff Gardens 145 sidebar_donutday Vanity +100
Male Gnome Prize Vanity +100
Female Gnome Prize Vanity +100
Beerquarium Prize Vanity +100
Duff Beeramid Prize Vanity +100

And that’s the latest on the Conform-O-Meter requirements for Level 60!  As you can see Level 60 really didn’t bring much in the way of Conform-O-Meter items to help boost our ratings…but it did bring several changes to our meters!

How is YOUR town doing?  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Also can do anyone knw if the XP Collider works on treehuggin points?

  2. Whats the best thing 2 buy for my treehugging rating because what the post i read the points say one thing but when i but them they dnt be what they said they would

  3. Also, still never got back the duff garden deal, even though ea rep promised me it would be offered again after they fixed the problem, anyone have any news on that one?

  4. I had maxed out my conform o Meter a long time ago, and now notice I am back to 4 and a half stars, still have 5 stars in every category except righteousness which suddenly dropped to only one star, why?

    • Have you recently leveled up? (over level 60 doesn’t count)

    • It happens from time to time. You can stop that from happening by buying and placing a bunch of training walls or placing a bunch of Nero walls (if you have them).

  5. I am SO glad I took Gil’s Duff Gardens deal as soon as I saw it. I couldn’t resist having a castle in my Springfield. It seems the people who rejected it are going thru WAYYY too much trouble trying to get him back. EA needs to patch this asap.

In other news, I can’t wait to participate in a Showoff. I was sick yesterday so took the day off work and spent the entire day re/designing my Springfield. I am in LOVE with my Squidport now, which used to be one of the ugliest parts of my town til yesterday. <333333

  6. hi level 101 and Gil is still missing.

    • Did you finish the level 60 questline?

    • I am still missing Gil also. I spoke with several reps at EA and they are very much aware that many people are in the same boat. I was assured that they are working on this. Unfortunately they could not give me any idea of when it will be resolved. I am level 83 and have an empty task bar, so all level 60 tasks are completed.

  7. Hey bunny.. i downloaded your app off the app store and it doesn’t work at all… i thought you guys might want to look into it

    • I could ask Bunny to look into it, but you know she doesn’t often hang around this site so it could take a few months 😉

Android or iOS? It was pulled off the Android market because it wasn’t working. iOS, it should work, but we’ve had so many issues with it I’ve stopped supporting it on my end. It’s not working as it was supposed to.

      • I tried it on Android too. It’s got the cartoon picture of you three as the icon, I think? That was a couple weeks ago, totally broken, so I just downloaded the WordPress app and followed the blog instead.

      • To be frank, i have been using your app since day one on iOS, without a single problem whatsoever. It works fine. Please don’t give up on it, seriously.

        • The problem is it doesn’t work for everyone. And when i discuss it with the developer he says it’s working fine. Yet I get feedback from others that it’s not working. So it’s not that I’m giving up on it, it’ll still be available in iOS. It’s that until they can assure me it’s going to work for everyone on every device, I’m not going to push it. I don’t want to push a product that doesn’t work. I’d rather people spend their money (and their storage space) on more important things.

    • Is Bunny ok?
      Signed, Concerned.

      • Yup. Just busy with work, being sick and the Family Guy blog. She’s around…just not too involved in the comments at the moment

      • OK? Nope! Never! OK is too… normal. Lol.

I have just been slowly recovering from a devastating illness and health issues. I am around, I know it’s not the 24/7 I have been previous 2 years… but I am still here. Lol. I just more push comments lately then answer them. 😛

  8. shawtymclittle

Hello 😊 Ever since I finished level 60, it only takes 40,000 XP to level up. I get that easily just by collecting from my buildings (not even counting jobs) I can easily “level up” at least once in one day. Should I be worried about how quickly I’m leveling up? I don’t want my game to crash. Thank you

  9. No Duff Gardens here…they must’ve forgotten about me. 🙁

  10. The Duff garden for me is good only for the 5 mins tasks available for a Group of premium characters. Other than this, it’s bonus percentage is low and too many gnomes are produced.

  11. By the time a person reaches level 60, I wonder whether anyone is not maxed out in the Conform-o-Meter (even with the increases)? I haven’t had to pay attention to it in such a loooong time…. It would be fun, though, to be able to click somewhere and see what my town’s actual numbers are for the different Conform-o-Meter categories!

    • Probably anyone who at least partially organizes their town, buys a couple of each house, and participates in the events is at least a 4-star. Most people in my friends list have Springfield farms…rows of fences here, training walls there, trees here. It’s not pretty but they maxed the meter!

Personally, I didn’t worry about it going down much each level until after I built whatever new stuff came with it. 🙂

    • I doubt strictly freemium players are at five stars, unless they have a bunch of Kwik-e-marts. Consumerism is a B. I needed a big premium push to get enough stores in my town. (I kept hoping there would be a decoration for consumerism after the khlav kalash stand was introduced for gluttony, but no such luck.)

      • Recent events have added a lot of buildings that boost consumerism. I did have a KEM farm early on because it was the only way to get max stars but, now, I wouldn’t even need one. Except to have Apu. 🙂

      • I used to have nine KEMs! But I made them fit in around town like gas stations. I blew up the town and found out I only need one now to get 5 stars. Never bought a premium shop. Lower level freemium players and newbies? Bring on the farm. There’s no way.

One thing I never understood is how people hid the KEM behind bigger buildings. Never figured it out.

        • I had two behind my high school looking like a little extension. Actually, they’re still there even though I don’t need them anymore because I like the way it looks. I also have one behind the blocko store in my extended mall. (It needed an extension to line up with the mall building, and the kem worked perfectly.)
I also used to have one behind costingtons (that’s gone) one behind the cracker factory (gone, replaced by twelve wailing walls) and one behind spinster city (first to go, did not blend well and was not completely hidden.)
There are a lot of ways to hide them, either in part or completely, but it’s silly to need to go such lengths for it.

      • Not true – I hit 5 stars when I was still a strictly freemium player. It just takes some good strategy…knowing which items have the best ROI and things like that. (And I only have three or four Kwik-E-Marts scattered around my town.)

      • I have premium stuff now, mostly by winning donuts/bonuts, but when i was strictly freemium i was able to max out my stars. And i didn’t/don’t have multiples of stores or houses, so, it’s doable.

  12. Duff gardens seems to have returned to some, not all…. Looked everywhere in the store, it’s not there for me.

  13. I’ve always been short on tree hugging and socialism. I have no friends, but I’ve got so many bonsai trees (and other trees) that I should be at least close to five stars. Oh well, no biggie.

    • You might want to consider getting some friends for this game….it’s really hard to be successful in it without them (and you miss out on a bunch of cool friendship prizes, and, later, free donuts!).

There’s no risk to adding friends…they’re completely anonymous and can’t communicate with you in any way through the game. Finding friends is super easy – just go to the Add Me thread on this site (and/or many others) and either post a request or just respond to requests from others.

      • I have been thinking about adding friends because I’ll never get those friendship prizes without them. However, there have been so many complaints during events about visiting friends, and lag time, and everything else, yet I’ve been able to get all the prizes from the last several events without any friends. I will definitely give it some thought.

        • You can always add just a few people too! Five or ten friends aren’t stressful to maintain. I haven’t had too many issues with lag (Galaxy Note 5).

My biggest issue with friends? People who don’t play anymore with nothing to tap. Drives me bananas.

          • Why don’t you just delete those folks who don’t visit and don’t leave anything to tap?

            • I usually give them a month or two of no-show before I delete anyone. You never know if someone’s actually quit or if they just have some extenuating circumstances 🙂

              • sandrashill

I figure if someone’s away for weeks and it’s because of extenuating circumstances, they can always send me a request again when those circumstances are over. (But, if I know them from here and I’m aware of their extenuating circumstances, then I won’t unfriend them unless they tell folks to do that.)

    • I only reached maximum Tree–Hugging by spamming high-value items available during events, like the Spooky/Dead trees from last year’s Halloween, and the Ficus/Exotic trees from the Casino event.

  14. Duff Gardens never showed up in my store…I’ll take it as a sign and get something else!

  15. I’m still not entirely thrilled with this whole “end of all leveling” change. I mean, I get that they’re theoretically trying to allow lower level players to have easier access to the latest content by switching exclusively to the “event” model… but events are frequently nigh impossible anyway, without a bunch of the core characters… and you still have to level-up quite a bit to get those characters.

In addition, this means that newer players will just envy the rest of us that much more, as old hands in the game will have even more “exclusives” from previous events, which simply aren’t available at all to those newer players… until EA brings them back, in the form of temporary premium offerings, of course.

But then, maybe that’s the point. Odds are, (with rare exceptions) most longtime players are past the point where they’re even willing to spend real cash on the game. Maybe this is all just another way of attempting to manipulate the newer, less savvy players into handing over that proverbial credit card.

(Come to think of it… maybe that’s also the *real* reason that they made creating a house farm so much more expensive for those new players……. )

  16. Any word on when/if the Duff Gardens Gil deal will return for those of us that had the offer disappear?

    • It returned yesterday, just in the stores. Gil’s not back in town

    • As I recall (it was 1:45am PDT and I was half asleep)
I opened my store and the Donut Day icon was there, the Chili Icon was there and on the far right the Gil Duff Garden icon was there. Didn’t have to dig deeper into sub categories.

IMMEDIATELY, I spent my 145 donuts.

But again, it was 1:45am. And I rolled over and went back to sleep.

  17. My lovely town now has many gnomes, they are funny to collect.

  18. Do levels above 60 affect the Conform-O-Meter requirements?

  19. I’ve been stuck at 4 stars on Indolence and 4.5 on gluttony forever. Seems like they think every darn building is vanity now.
